Abstract

This community service activity aims to foster an entrepreneurial spirit based on socio-technopreneurship among students of SMAN 3 Unggul Sigli, Pidie Regency, Aceh. The main issue addressed is the low interest and ability of students in entrepreneurship, primarily due to limited exposure to practical and technology-relevant entrepreneurship education. Using the Service Learning (SL) approach, the activity was conducted in the form of a workshop consisting of three main sessions: material presentation, business plan preparation practice, and presentation of results. The participants included 50 students guided by a team from the Program Studi Ekonomi Islam Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Syiah Kuala and the Pusat Riset Komunikasi Pemasaran, Pariwisata, dan Ekonomi Kreatif Universitas Syiah Kuala. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of socio-technopreneurship (from 60% to 85%) and their interest in entrepreneurship (75%). Additionally, 60% of the participant groups successfully developed innovative business plans. This activity contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in creating decent work and promoting sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

The community service activity themed "Digital Literacy Education as an Effort to Build a Generation of Technology-Savvy and Independent Village Teenagers" aims to improve digital literacy among village teenagers. This activity was carried out in Beurandeh Village, Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency, involving 40 teenagers as participants. The program uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which is divided into four phases: identification, needs determination, intervention, and evaluation. Each phase was designed to improve adolescents' understanding of digital literacy, including an understanding of digital safety, social media ethics, and productive and safe use of technology. The results showed a significant increase in adolescents' understanding and awareness of the importance of maintaining privacy and avoiding the spread of hoaxes, with an 85% increase in understanding. In addition, village officials also reported an increase in their ability to discuss digital literacy topics with teenagers, demonstrating the positive effects of the socialization. Although challenges such as lack of resources and limited parental understanding still exist, this activity is expected to have a long-term impact in building a generation of tech-savvy and independent teenagers, who are better prepared to face digital risks in the future.

Abstract

This community service project in Alue Naga Village, Banda Aceh, aimed to explore and identify its economic empowerment potential, focusing on oyster farming and ecotourism. Despite the villages rich natural resources, such as a preserved mangrove ecosystem and high-quality oysters, these remain underutilized due to limited infrastructure, poor resource management skills, and marketing challenges. The project used a Service-Learning (SL) approach, involving multiple stakeholders including local government, researchers, and community members. Key activities included socialization, education, and training for fishermen, MSMEs, women, and youth. The project delivered results of prior studies and developed sustainable strategies for local economic empowerment. The results showed significant potential for oyster farming and ecotourism development, though improvements in infrastructure and market access are needed. Villagers showed high engagement, particularly in developing processed oyster products like crackers and nuggets. Collaboration between stakeholders enabled a comprehensive approach to economic empowerment, addressing both social and environmental factors. This project offers a replicable model for other coastal villages in Indonesia, demonstrating that strategic planning, community engagement, and multidisciplinary collaboration are essential for sustainable village development. Additionally, the initiative contributed to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as No Poverty, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Life Below Water, highlighting its long-term benefits for the community.
