Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many changes in various aspects of life, including in the education sector and the learning system. The application of learning and teaching from home policies for students and lecturers alike changes the face-to-face learning perspective online by utilizing various applications and platforms. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Wakelet for higher education and the benefits of Wakelet in online learning. This research method is descriptive quantitative through a survey. The population of this study was students of the PGMI IAIN Padangsidimpuan study program semester 6. The sampling technique used in this study was probability sampling which included simple random sampling. The sample was determined based on the Slovin formula assisted by Microsoft Excel software, so the sample was 94 respondents. The data collection technique used a questionnaire by Google Form. Analysis of research data using descriptive statistics assisted by STATCAL and EAVIS software. The results showed that the Wakelet platform was categorized as effective and efficient for use in the university environment, especially in the PGMI IAIN Padangsidimpuan Study Program based on student responses at a percentage of 78.72%. The Wakelet platform is also easily accessible and innovative, varied, and creative based on student responses, which are 80.85%. Besides having an attractive appearance, the Wakelet platform also has benefits, including bringing together all types of student work collected, such as videos, article texts, images, PDF files of papers/e-books / e-journals / e-proceedings, sharing web links, media links,social media and others.

Abstract

Pancasila is the basis of the state that must be upheld by practicing its values in everyday life. The good behavior of a nation is also a mirror for the country in front of other countries. This study aims to determine how parents' strategy in educating their early children instills Pancasila values when not at school or at home. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological study approach. Sources of data in this study were parents of early childhood. Determination of data sources using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection using interviews. Data analysis was carried out, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. After being analyzed, the data were interpreted and tested for validity using member-checking techniques. The study results found that each parent has a similar strategy for educating their children to practice the values of Pancasila in everyday life. Education that parents teach children to practice the values of Pancasila, such as introducing religion to children, teaching children to worship, teaching children to love others, teaching children, practicing cooperation, inviting children to consult, teaching children always to accept decisions if it is for the common good, discuss anything for fairness, teach children to learn continually, and teach children always to respect the work of others

Abstract

This research aims to provide educational insight for netizens on how to get smart ways to counteract negative information on social media, especially Instagram as the object of this discussion. The method used by the author in this discussion is a literature study with the main sources being documentation, news, articles that are in accordance with the topic of study. The results of this study are that there are several groups of netizens who are easily influenced by negative news, they are also easily provoked based on social media behavior. Digital jihad strategies on Instagram accounts using the istihsan method as a step to combat misinformation or news; negative by verifying or "tabayyun", then filtering the news sources and measuring in terms of benefits and harm, so that valid conclusions can be found regarding the source of the news circulating on social media Instagram.

Abstract

This study intends to critically examine and analyze the process of national fiqh actualization in shaping an attitude of religious moderation. Bearing in mind, the problem of unity amidst differences is primary, so it must remain a serious concern to maintain the country’s resilience. The research method was qualitative with a library research approach, which collected a variety of relevant literature according to the topic of study. This study concludes that the concept of national fiqh has an orientation to unity and integrity in maintaining national sovereignty wrapped with nationalism. National fiqh’s relevance and religious moderation become a mutually reinforcing synergy because national fiqh seeks to build a nationalist humanistic paradigm to reduce differences. Then, the actualization of national fiqh in building Indonesia’s religious moderation is the appreciation of the teachings of Islam in a complex and contextualist manner, not merely normative or dogmatic, strengthened by the process of cultivating moderate, fair, tolerant, humanist, ethical, religious, and nationalist attitudes.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism in not as slogan anymore, but it has become a job or activity that must be done. This research aims to describe students respond, stakeholders and headmaster of elementary school 200205 in Padangsidimpuan city toward teacher professionalism of Islamic education and character lesson. This is field research in qualitative descriptive where in this research, the researcher looks for and uses descriptive data such as words or utterance, opinions from research subject either orally or in writing. Data collections are conducted with interview and documentation method. Analysis technique is begun of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Data analysis is conducted while data is collected and after all data are collected or after the research is done. The result ofresearch shows that the respond of student, stakeholder and headmaster elementary school 200205 Padangsidimpuan city is good in aspect of subject mastery, learning media use, and learning strategies application. However, preparation of learning device before beginning the study need to be improved such as making annual programs, semester programs, syllabus, lesson plans, and assessmentas that stiil out of expectatios. Therefore this research is done so that teacher in Islamic education and character lesson is able to be professional educator based on competence.

Abstract

AbstractThis study found the problem namely the low of students’ learning outcomes in grade four thematic learning SD Negeri 100101 Simatorkis. The cause was the teacher acted as a learning source and seldom to apply the model or media in process of study. So students did not understand how the concept in the learning process. This study was done to improve students’ learning results at the grade IV SD Negeri 100101 Simatorkis with apply discovery model learning. This study was classroom action research with consist of four components, they are planning, action, observation, and reflection. This study was done as long as two siclus, every sicles consist of twice meeting. Instruments for collecting the data in this study are test and observation. This study result showed that students’ learning result in the subject of thematic in every sinus grow up. In the first test, the average of students was 64,5 (30%), in the first cycles, the average of students were 67,5 (30%) become 72 (45%). In the second siclus from 75 (50%) becomes 86 (85%). The conclusion that the result of students learning grows up after the applied learning discovery model in this thematic subject at grade IV SD Negeri 100101 Simatorkis.

Abstract

Many impacts occurred when the COVID-19 pandemic occurred to disturb all humans on earth. The unrest came from students. One of the student concerns was that learning was carried out online. This case is the basis of the research. The research objective was to explore student difficulties during online learning during the COVID-19 period, the application used during online learning during the COVID-19 period, and the student's response to online learning during COVID-19. This study uses a qualitative method through a case study approach. The research was conducted at IAIN Padangsidimpuan. The informants in this study were 37 PGMI students from 2016-2019. Data collection using unstructured-planned interviews. The research procedure refers to the Creswell model. Data analysis used ATLAS.ti version 8 software. The results of this study obtained information from informants that students experienced many difficulties during online learning during the COVID-19 period, such as the high cost of buying data packages, the problem of internet signals and the exposure of less understood lecturers' material. During online learning, the teleconference application often used is google meet, while the social media that is always used is WhatsApp. So, from the conscience of each informant, they hoped that the learning process would not be thoroughly carried out online to reduce costs for buying internet packages or learning to be carried out face-to-face again on the condition that they adhere to health protocols.

Abstract

The problem that is found in this research is low learning outcomes of IV grade student in MI Padangsidimpuan Angkola Julu in thematic learning. The problem is caused learning system given by teacher still not fun, so it does not make student desire in following the learning. This research is conducted to improve learning outcome of IV grade student in MI Padangsidimpuan Angkola Julu in following thematic learning in the theme the beauty of diversity in my country, material magnetic force and gravitational force using collage picture media. This is classroom action research that is consisted of two cycles and every cycle consist of four steps, they are (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, (4) reflection. The technique of data collection uses observation, test, and interview. Data analysis techniques are conducted qualitatively and quantitatively using questionnaire data analysis in the form of percentages (%) to get the success of image media implementation toward student’s learning outcome. Based on the results of teacher’s observations using collage picture media that it obtains 85,5% in the first cycle and 92,5% in the second cycle. The data shows an increase in teacher’s activity in improving student’s learning outcomes. Based on observation result, there is increase in student’s learning outcome where cycle I gets 60% and cycle II gets 84%. The average of student’s learning outcome gets increase percentage of 24%. Research result can be concluded that the use of collage picture media can improve student’s learning outcome on thematic learning.

Abstract

This research examines the local wisdom built by the Muslim community of Angkola around the ritual of slaughtering buffalo in the event of death ceremony. This study is a field research combining observation, interviews, and document analysis with a sociological analytical technique to evaluate the tradition beginning with the reasons for its adoption, the process, and the desired outcomes. The study’s findings indicate that the Angkola people’s practice of slaughtering buffalo in burial ceremonies is motivated by a desire to preserve traditional culture as well as a means of protecting the social strata of traditional elders. Furthermore, this ritual appears to be a technique of sustaining societal social cohesiveness. The buffalo slaughter served as the foundation for implementing Islamic ideals in an atmosphere of brotherhood and generosity, with Mora Khanggi and Anak Boru serving as the primary funders. The outcomes of the study demonstrate that the practice of local communities as part of life knowledge can be sociologically connected with Islamic theological teachings. Acculturation of culture with religious teachings can genuinely present various choices for propagating religion while also exhibiting theological flexibility in order to make it more welcoming to its devotees.
