Abstract

The success of the learning process is seen from the accuracy of the selected learning model so that it can achieve the learning objectives and obtain the learning outcomes optimally. The purpose of the research is to improve learning outcomes in aspects of spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, knowledge, and skills of students by implementing the Problem Based Learning learning model in Civics lessons, the subject matter of Socio-Cultural Diversity of Society. The research subject was students of the class 5-A MIN 6 Medan. The research design uses John Elliot's classroom action research model. They collected data by using tests, observations, and interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively with qualitative and quantitative approaches with the help of STATCAL software. The results of the study proved that in the first cycle, the percentage of student learning outcomes was 17.14% (6 students completed and 29 students had not completed), then increased in the second cycle with a value of 51.42% (18 students completed and 17 students did not complete). ), then increased again in the third cycle with a score of 88.57% (31 students completed and four students did not complete).Keywords: learning outcomes, learning model, PBL, Pancasila and civic education.

Abstract

Shared assets in the family have been regulated in Islamic law and customary law. This aims to apply justice in the household, between husband and wife. The existence of joint property due to partnership or partnership in general matters. Meanwhile, joint property in household life is due to the existence of a legal marriage bond between a man and a woman, as long as in the marriage bond both collect the property, both individually and together. However, if there is a dispute in the distribution of joint assets, Islamic law offers a solution of As-shulhu (peace) and kinship deliberation to find a mutually beneficial and satisfying way out, on the contrary in the legislation in force in Indonesia, joint property is divided into two, namely between husbands and wife after divorce.

Abstract

AbstractThe trend of gamification is currently increasingly popular in the field of education. Gamification such as Kahoot is increasingly being used in learning environments to increase students' interest, motivation, and learning outcomes. This study aims to see the effectiveness of Kahoot in learning in MI/SD PPKn courses. This research is quantitative by using the survey research method. Students of the PGMI IAIN Padangsidimpuan Study Program as the population in this study. The sampling technique used in this study is probability sampling with the type of simple random sampling. The sample was determined using the calculator.net platform. The sample was 104 respondents from 729 populations. A Google Form-assisted questionnaire was used as a data collection technique in this study. STATCAL software is used as a machine to analyze the data of this research. The study results explained that, on average, the survey who responded agreed there were 64 (61.17%) students, while those who responded strongly agreed there were 32 (30.33%) students. So, the Kahoot application as learning gamification in MI/SD PPKn courses at the PGMI IAIN Padangsidimpuan Study Program looks effective. Keywords: Gamification of learning, Kahoot, PPKn MI/SD AbstrakTren gamifikasi saat ini semakin populer di bidang pendidikan. Gamifikasi seperti Kahoot semakin banyak digunakan di lingkungan belajar sebagai cara untuk meningkatkan minat, motivasi, dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keefektifan Kahoot dalam pembelajaran pada mata kuliah PPKn MI/SD. Riset ini berjenis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian survey. Mahasiswa Prodi PGMI IAIN Padangsidimpuan sebagai populasi dalam penelitian ini. Teknik sampel yang digunakan probability sampling dengan jenis sampel random sampling. Sampel ditentukan berbantuan platform calculator.net, sampelnya ialah 104 responden dari 729 populasi. Kuesioner berbantuan Google Form dijadikan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini. Software STATCAL dijadikan sebagai mesin untuk menganalisis data penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian memaparkan bahwa rata-rata survey yang merespon setuju ada 64 (61,17%) mahasiswa, sedangkan yang merespon sangat setuju ada 32 (30,33%) mahasiswa. Jadi, aplikasi Kahoot sebagai gamifikasi pembelajaran dalam mata kuliah PPKn MI/SD di Prodi PGMI IAIN Padangsidimpuan terlihat efektif. Kata kunci: Gamifikasi pembelajaran, Kahoot, PPKn MI/SD

Abstract

Abstract Quality education comes from the quality of the teachers. Especially the competence of teachers from the professional, pedagogical, moral, and social aspects. Competent teachers are seen from their performance results, while to realize quality performance, motivation is needed from the principal. This study aimed to look at the leadership attitude of school principals in improving the quality of education during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses quantitative methods. The sample was teachers at SDN 200212/2 Padangsidimpuan schools, and the sample was determined using a random sampling technique. They are collecting data using a questionnaire with a Likert measurement scale. Data analysis used descriptive statistics using the 2022 version of STATCAL software. The study results describe that the leadership attitude carried out by the principal of SDN 200212/2 Padangsidimpuan city, North Sumatra province is excellent at 93% based on responses from 20 teachers. Meanwhile, teachers who are in a neutral position see only 5% of the principal's leadership, and 2% of teachers think that the principal rarely rewards work performance. It is never fair to give sanctions to subordinates who fail to carry out their duties. Keywords: Principal, quality of education, COVID-19 pandemic Abstrak Pendidikan yang bermutu berasal dari kualitas gurunya. Terutama kompetensi guru dari aspek profesional, pedagogi, moral kerja, dan sosialnya. Guru yang berkompetensi dilihat dari hasil kinerjanya, sedangkan untuk mewujudkan kinerja yang bermutu perlu motivasi dari kepala sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat sikap kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini memakai metode kuantitatif. Sampelnya adalah guru-guru di sekolah SDN 200212/2 Padangsidimpuan, sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala pengukuran likert. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif menggunakan software STATCAL versi 2022. Hasil penelitian menguraikan bahwa sikap kepemimpinan yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah SDN 200212/2 kota Padangsidimpuan provinsi Sumatera Utara sangat baik berada pada persentase 93% berdasarkan respon dari 20 guru. Sedangkan guru yang berada pada posisi netral melihat kepemimpinan kepala sekolah hanya 5% dan 2% lagi guru berpendapat bahwa kepala sekolah jarang memberikan penghargaan terhadap prestasi kerja serta tidak pernah adil memberikan sanksi kepada bawahan yang lalai melaksanakan tugas. Kata kunci: Kepala sekolah, mutu pendidikan, pandemi COVID-19

Abstract

AbstractThe COVID-19 era requires the world of education to transform its learning system towards application-based digitalization. The current learning application that is widely discussed is Ruangguru. Ruangguru is an application that is intended to help students learn because the content is based on subjects by the curriculum in Indonesia. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the Ruangguru application for learning, especially in the scope of elementary schools. This research method is descriptive quantitative through the survey. The population of this study were elementary/MI students in the city of Padangsidimpuan, North Sumatra. The sampling technique used in this study is probability sampling which includes simple random sampling, so the number of students who respond is 81 people. Data collection techniques using a Google Form-assisted questionnaire. Analysis of research data using descriptive statistics assisted by STATCAL software. The results of this study found data that the Ruangguru application seemed to be effectively used for learning for SD/MI students in the Padangsidimpuan City area of North Sumatra Province during the COVID-19 pandemic with an average percentage of 80.25%. Keywords: Ruangguru application; Learning; COVID-19 AbstrakEra COVID-19 menuntut dunia pendidikan bertransformasi sistem pembelajarannya menuju digitalisasi berbasis aplikasi. Aplikasi pembelajaran saat ini yang banyak diperbincangkan ialah Ruangguru. Ruangguru adalah aplikasi yang diperuntukkan membantu siswa dalam belajarnya karena isinya berdasarkan mata pelajaran yang sesuai kurikulum di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri keefektifan aplikasi Ruangguru untuk pembelajaran khususnya di lingkup sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif melalui survei. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SD/MI yang berada di wilayah Kota Padangsidimpuan, Sumatera Utara. Teknik sampelyang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah probability sampling yang meliputi simple random sampling, jadi siswa yang merespon berjumlah 81 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner berbantuan Google Form. Analisis data penelitian memakai statistik deskriptif berbantuan software STATCAL. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan data bahwa aplikasi Ruangguru terlihat efektif digunakan untuk pembelajaran bagi siswa SD/MI di wilayah Kota Padangsidimpuan Provinsi Sumatera Utara selama masa pandemi  COVID-19 dengan memiliki rata-rata persentase 80,25%. Kata kunci: Aplikasi Ruangguru; Pembelajaran; COVID-19

Abstract

This study aims to determine the background, process, and purpose of the Angkola people in slaughtering buffalo in a death ceremony. This study uses a descriptive analysis approach to describe the results of the research findings. In addition, the researcher used observation, interview, and document analysis techniques in collecting research data. The results indicate several reasons behind the slaughtering buffalo in the death ceremony. First, this tradition aims to preserve the Angkola cultural customs that have existed since Islam entered Indonesia. Besides, it also drives to keep the titles held by parents from being lost. Socially, this ritual is planned to feed the public where there are generally many people who come to see the procession. Lastly, Mora Kahanggi and Anak Boru played a significant role in supporting the funding for this ritual.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of PPKn teaching materials based on Blended Learning (BL). This study uses the RnD (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE development model. The population of this study was the fourth-semester students of the PGMI IAIN Padangsidimpuan Study Program. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling, so the sample is 35 students. Data collection techniques using Google Form-assisted questionnaires, Kahoot-assisted learning outcomes tests, interviews, observations, and documentation. Analysis of research data using descriptive statistics assisted by STATCAL and EAVIS software. The research results show that PPKn-based teaching material design is excellent and has a good level of validation based on expert judgment. The level of effectiveness is also excellent, seen from student learning outcomes with the average value of PPKn MI/SD Low-Class courses on the pre-test is 64.7143; post-test I (meeting I) was 74.5714; post-test II (meeting I) was 79.5714; post-test II (meeting I) was 83; post-test II (meeting II) was 88.

Abstract

Education is capable to develop a country. One of the techniques is by using appropriate teaching material. In addition, the using of teaching material ought to appropriate with particular topic. Teaching material also ought to arranged sistematically in order to create the fun learning atmosphere. Horsley, Knight, dan Huntly, (2010: 45) state a good quality of teaching material has substansial contribution to students quality in learning experience and outcome. Teaching material conveys electronic and non-electronic that contain the information to gain student’s knowledge due to reaching the learning objectives. (Sitepu, 2014:183). Comic is  one of efective teaching material that is used in scholl especially in Elementary school. It is suggested because comic contain pictures and stories with characteristic that able to build students’ character. Consequently, teaching material through comic has significant role in improving student’s ability and education quality in Elementary School

Abstract

Abstract : Effects of the Problem Based Learning Model on Civic Skills forStudents of Class V MIN 3 South Tapanuli.. Based on preliminary observationsabout PPKn learning in 5th class of MIN 3 Tapanuli Selatan, it was found that theteacher used Direct Instruction, they did not give attention to students‟ civic skills,and even found that 11 of 17 students (64.71%) had low civic skills. Therefore, thisstudy aims to analyze the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students'civic skills. The sampling technique used in this study is total sampling, becausepopulation and sample are the same amount, namely as many as 17 students at 5thgrade on MIN 3 Tapanuli Selatan. This research is a Quasi Experiment study. Data inthis researcg was collected through the student's civic observation sheet, while thedata analysis technique used was the Paired Samples T-Test. The results showed that:there was an effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' Civic skills.Another finding from the results of this study is that the Problem Based Learning(PBL) model also influences other dimensions of citizenship such as civic knowledgeand civic values. Thus, this study suggests to using the Problem Based Learning(PBL) model in PPKn learning.Keywords : Civic Education (PPKn), Civic Skills, Problem Based LearningAbstrak : Pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning Terhadap Civic SkillsSiswa Kelas V MIN 3 Tapanuli Selatan. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan awalketika pembelajaran PPKn berlangsung di kelas V MIN 3 Tapanuli Selatanditemukan bahwa guru menggunakan Direct Instruction dan tidak memperhatikancivic skills dalam penilaiannya, bahkan juga ditemukan bahwa sebanyak 11 dari 17siswa (64,71%) mempunyai civic skills rendah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian inibertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem BasedLearning (PBL) terhadap civic skills siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan padapenelitian ini yaitu total sampling, karena jumlah populasi dan sampelnya samayaitu sebanyak 17 orang siswa kelas V di MIN 3 Tapanuli Selatan. Penelitian inimerupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimen. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melaluilembar observasi civic skill siswa, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakanyaitu uji-t (Paired Samples T-Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: terdapatpengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap Civic skillssiswa. Temuan lain dari hasil penelitian ini bahwa model pembelajaran ProblemBased Learning (PBL) juga mempengaruhi dimensi kewarganegaraan lainnyaseperti civic knowledge dan civic values. Dengan demikian, penelitian inimenyarankan agar menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning(PBL) dalam membelajarkan PPKn.Kata Kunci : PPKn, Civic Skills, Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah.

Abstract

Dewasa ini seluruh sektor termasuk pendidikan membutuhkan teknologi yang dapat memudahkan seseorang dalam beraktivitas, seperti memperoleh sumber untuk belajar. Terobosan baru dalam dunia pendidikan ialah lahirnya sumber belajar digital yang diharapkan sebagai wadah dalam membantu pendidik dan peserta didik dalam memperoleh informasi. Terobosan baru yang dimaksud ialah platform Rumah Belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pendidik terhadap efektivitas pada platform Rumah Belajar. Riset ini berjenis kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah probability sampling dengan teknik cluster sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan software STATCAL versi Oktober 2021. Hasil penelitian memaparkan bahwa dari total 129 guru SD/MI di Kota Padangsidimpuan yang disurvei. Sebanyak 124 (95,98%) guru menyatakan platform Rumah Belajar termasuk sumber belajar digital terkategori efektif, sehingga dapat dijadikan pusat informasi dalam memperoleh referensi sesuai materi pembelajaran di era kenormalan baru.
