Abstract

Cocoa production in recent years has experienced a very rapid decline, where in previous years cocoa production usually reached 1-2 quintals per month. However, unlike today, the income earned is lower than the previous one, so some farming communities turn to the side-connected technique. This study aims to determine how the level of farmer's income is the feasibility of farming and the value of BEP (Break Even Point) who have not done side-grafting and who have done side-grafting on cocoa plants. Data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of research conducted in Tamalea Village, Bonehau District, Mamuju Regency, it shows that the income from side-connected cocoa farming is smaller than the income from side-connected cocoa farming. By looking at the income results of non-side grafting cocoa farming, which is Rp. 177,427,844/22.5 ha or Rp. 7,885,681,9/ha and the income of side-connected cocoa farming is Rp. 380,322,075/23 ha or Rp. 16,535,742.4/ha. The results of the R/C ratio of non-side grafting cocoa farming are smaller than the R/C ratio of side-coating cocoa farming. Non-side-connecting cocoa farming is feasible by looking at the R/C ratio value of 2.47, which means that each expenditure is Rp. 100,- will get an income of 247, and sidegrafting cocoa farming is feasible by looking at the R/C ratio value of 3.09, which means that each expenditure is Rp. 100,- will get an acceptance of 309,-. The results of BEP (Break Even Point) or the breakeven point of non-cross-linked and side-linked cocoa farming are non-side-connected cocoa farming with a volume BEP value of 5,476.825 kg and a BEP price of Rp. 8,892.262/kg, while side-by-side cocoa farming with a volume BEP value of 8,267,178 kg and a BEP price of Rp. 7,104,606/kg.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Green Transformational Leadership (GTL) on Employee Green Behavior (EGB) with Green Human Resource Management (Green HRM) as a mediating variable in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) producing Sasirangan fabric in Banjarmasin, Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a census survey of 155 employees across 41 SMEs. The data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling using Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that GTL significantly affects both EGB and Green HRM, while Green HRM positively influences EGB. Furthermore, Green HRM mediates the relationship between GTL and EGB, with the indirect effect stronger than the direct effect. These findings highlight the critical role of leadership and human resource practices in fostering pro-environmental behavior among employees in traditional creative industries. The study contributes to extending sustainability research beyond large corporations by offering empirical evidence from SMEs rooted in local cultural heritage. Abstract

Writing recount texts remains a challenging task for many junior high school students in Indonesia, particularly because it requires an accurate use of grammar, sentence organization, and vocabulary mastery. Previous studies have shown that learners frequently commit errors in tense usage, sentence structure, and word choice, yet limited research has connected these issues to students’ dependency on translation tools and their overall writing competence. This study, therefore, aimed to explore the common errors made by eighth-grade students in writing recount texts and to identify the underlying causes of those errors. The research involved 25 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Liliriaje, Soppeng, and data were collected through students’ written tasks supported by semi-structured interviews with both students and their English teacher. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through students’ written tasks and supported by interviews with both students and their English teacher. The analysis revealed four dominant error categories: verb tense misuse, subject–verb agreement errors, sentence structure problems, and spelling mistakes. Among these, verb tense errors—especially the inappropriate use of the present tense instead of the past tense—emerged as the most frequent, indicating students’ limited mastery of narrative conventions. In addition, interviews showed that students’ reliance on Google Translate contributed significantly to structural inaccuracies and hindered their grammatical development. The findings contribute to the field of English language teaching by highlighting the urgent need for explicit grammar instruction, vocabulary enrichment strategies, and guided use of translation technology. Pedagogically, this research offers insights into designing targeted writing instruction that addresses students’ recurring difficulties and fosters greater writing accuracy and independence in EFL contexts.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 010 Bagan Punak, Kecamatan Bangko, through a gadget-based internet use approach. The subjects of this study consisted of 20 students, and the research was conducted using classroom action research to enhance both learning outcomes and learning activities. The initial average score of students’ learning outcomes was 60, indicating that the learning completeness had not been achieved. After implementing gadget-based internet learning using Zoom media from cycle I to cycle II, students’ learning outcomes increased progressively. In the first cycle, the average score rose to 74.6, with 15 out of 20 students (75%) reaching complete learning outcomes. In the second cycle, the average score further increased to 81.8, with 18 students (90%) achieving completeness, demonstrating the effectiveness of using internet-based learning in improving students’ learning outcomes in Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Nutritional problems in toddlers, including stunting, wasting, and overweight, remain a primary global health concern. Stunting is closely linked to specific deficiencies in vitamins and minerals, influenced by factors such as maternal education, family income, maternal knowledge of nutrition, breastfeeding practices, complementary feeding age, micronutrient adequacy, infection history, and genetics. This community service program aimed to increase maternal knowledge of balanced nutrition to prevent toddler stunting. The activity was conducted on January 20, 2025, at the Posyandu in the Pattingalloang Community Health Center working area, involving 20 participants, supported by lecturers, students, midwives, and local health cadres. Educational interventions were delivered through lectures, discussions, and Q&A sessions. Pre-test results showed that 65% of participants had good knowledge and 35% had poor knowledge regarding balanced nutrition and stunting prevention. Post-test results showed improvement, with 80% demonstrating good knowledge and only 20% remaining in the poor category. The findings highlight that targeted nutrition education can significantly improve maternal understanding and awareness, possibly reducing stunting prevalence. Follow-up programs and home-based health services were also recommended to sustain knowledge and improve child health outcomes
