Abstract

Providing a good chart makes a good impact as well for the learning, especially students’ understanding. This classroom action research aimed to enhance senior high school students’ understanding of English modals through the use of multimodal digital chart media. The study was conducted in two cycles at a senior high school in Bogor, involving 31 students of XI grade. Each cycle consists of: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The study employed a mixed-methods design; collecting data through pre-tests, post-tests, and documentation including feedback from the English teacher and students’ test scores analyzed via Quizizz. In the first cycle, static printed charts were used. Due to unclear layout and small font size, students’ engagement and comprehension remained limited, as reflected in the average post-test score of 62%, up from 50% in the pre-test. In the second cycle, digital charts were integrated into PowerPoint presentations, which offered clearer visualization and better accessibility. This resulted in improved understanding, with average scores rising from 66% in the pre-test to 71% in the post-test. The result shows that well-designed digital charts combining visuals, keywords, and structured content can significantly improve students’ grasp of abstract grammatical topics like modals. The study recommends incorporating visually engaging, relevant, and culturally appropriate digital media to support English language teaching and to foster deeper cognitive engagement in the classroom.

Abstract

During pregnancy, birth weight is a crucial metric for evaluating the fetus's development and health. The risk of newborn morbidity and death as well as future growth and development issues are predicted by this characteristic. At the Athallah Primary Clinic, the aim of this research was to ascertain the correlation between child birth weight and gestational age. With a cross-sectional methodology, this research is quantitative in nature. 134 respondents who gave birth at the Athallah Primary Clinic in 2024 were sampled in total using this method. The study's dependent variable was the weight of the newborn, whereas the independent variable was gestational age. Using the chi-square test, data were examined both univariately and bivariately. This research found that the newborn birth weight at the Athallah Primary Clinic in 2024 was significantly correlated with the mother's gestational age (p-value 0.008).

Abstract

This community engagement program aims to enhance the village’s economic self-reliance and social resilience through a participatory and collaborative approach involving women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), youth, children, and the village government as key partners. The implementation stages began with village potential mapping through focus group discussions, followed by business legalization assistance including the issuance of Business Identification Numbers (NIB) and halal product certification along with training in business management, product innovation, and digital marketing. The results demonstrate a significant increase in local capacity and competitiveness: several women-owned MSMEs successfully obtained NIB and halal certificates, the process of establishing a culinary and souvenir center (Pujasera) as a hub for local product promotion was successfully initiated, and a digital marketing network was developed to expand market access, while a more child-friendly and gender-equitable village environment was fostered. These achievements confirm that a participatory and collaborative model can effectively create an inclusive, competitive, and sustainable village ecosystem, while also making a tangible contribution to the advancement of knowledge.
