Abstract

Abstract

Collaborative abilities are one of the pillars that students must have in facing the complexity of the world, especially in world complexity, especially in abilities that can be trained by using E-LKPD in learning. Therefore, this research aims to determine the needs analysis for E-LKPD development. This type of research is quantitative and descriptive, using questionnaires, interviews, and observation data collection techniques. The research subjects were students in class XI-10 IPS at SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda. The data obtained was then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the data analysis, the curriculum requires LKPD as an attachment that must be provided in learning. The material presented in E-LKPD has informative and procedural characteristics. The analysis of student needs shows that 78% of students need  E-LKPD, making it easier for them to understand the material, and 38% of students attract students' learning attention. Regarding the weaknesses of the E-LKPD used during geography learning, it is that the E-LKPD is not in accordance with the meaning of the E-LKPD itself, the E-LKPD is not in accordance with the curriculum used, the E-LKPD used by students has not attracted the students' learning attention. Based on the results of this research can provide an illustration that needs analysis seen from the curriculum aspect, material characteristics, and student characteristics is the main step in developing E-LKPD that is appropriate and innovative based on current needs. Keywords: Need analysis; E-LKPD Bases on Geographical Inquiry; Collaborative Abilities

Abstract

Flooding is a frequent disaster in Samarinda City, Indonesia that causes significant disruptions and losses. This study aimed to analyze the spatial and temporal patterns of flooding in Samarinda using Instagram posts as a data source. A total of 987 public posts related to flooding were collected and used to map the affected areas and identify temporal dynamics. A spatial analysis was conducted using GIS software, and the results were validated using field observations, official flood-prone area maps, and daily rainfall data. The findings showed that most flooding points were concentrated in low-lying residential areas adjacent to rivers, with increasing severity during intense rainfall. Spatial-temporal analysis revealed that high rainfall, overflow of the Karang Mumus River, and overflow of the Mahakam River were the leading causes of flooding. Over the five years, there was a significant temporal decline in the flood frequency, primarily driven by a reduction in rainfall-related events. The spatial patterns also shifted, with the Mahakam River becoming a more significant threat to the riparian areas. Instagram has emerged as a valuable dynamic geospatial data source for flood monitoring, providing timely updates and enabling the visualization of flood events. This study highlights the potential of integrating social media data into official monitoring systems to improve spatial resolution and response speed in flood management. These findings contribute to the development of social media-based flood monitoring methods and provide insights for strengthening flood mitigation planning and disaster risk reduction strategies in Samarinda City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social dynamics of residents in the new housing complex of Gria Mahakam City, Samarinda. The focus of this study is on how social interaction, social participation, social capital, and social barriers are formed within a modern housing environment. To address this issue, the study draws upon Blumer’s theory of symbolic interactionism, Putnam’s theory of social capital, and Giddens’ theory of modernity. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation from 30 informants selected through purposive sampling, and were then analyzed qualitatively through data reduction, presentation, and drawing of conclusions. This study concludes that the social dynamics of residents are in a transitional phase toward more stable social cohesion, where social interaction remains limited, participation is fluctuating, and social capital is beginning to develop but is not yet evenly distributed. Social barriers are influenced by individual and structural factors, while contextually, these dynamics are linked to Samarinda’s position as a developing city and a buffer zone for the Nusantara Capital City, meaning that community formation occurs gradually and is influenced by residents’ characteristics as well as regional development.
