The implementation of free learning promoted by the government is an absolute requirement for every elementary school. The implementation of this service activity is planned through 5 stages of activity, namely (1) preparation, (2) training and workshops for strengthening literacy and numeracy which will be carried out offline by complying with health protocols; 3) assistance on collaborative projects to strengthen literacy and numeracy; 4) online sharing session regarding the implementation of literacy and numeracy strengthening for students, and (5) Reporting. The implementation of training activities succeeded in increasing the competence of elementary school teachers regarding knowledge of implementing independent curriculum learning in the high category (n-gain = 0.95). This activity produces learning products in the form of lesson plans, worksheets, evaluation materials based on literacy and numeracy by inserting an understanding of the Pancasila youth profile.

Abstract

Science subjects in junior high school contain concepts from three different disciplines, namely Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, so that these subjects are taught by three different teachers. Even though the concept of science should not be compartmentalized, but must be able to complement one another. Likewise with the skills that must be taught in accordance with the demands of Basic Competence in the curriculum. The purpose of this service activity is to increase teacher professionalism, especially in teaching aspects, especially science subjects. The target for the training is science teachers at junior high schools in Pesawaran district. There are several training methods used, namely: need assessment, information discussion, assignment method, workshops on making integrated science lesson plans, presentations, discussions and information exploration, peer teaching at the MGMP. Improvement data was measured using a questionnaire instrument, essay test questions, the Teacher Performance Analysis test instrument (APKG) given before and after treatment, and peer teaching observation sheets (with MGMP). Data on increasing professionalism will be analyzed descriptively and using the t-test. The conclusions of the implementation of the integrated science learning model implementation training are: 1) The integrated science learning model implementation training is capable of increasing teacher professionalism in the aspects of knowledge, aspects of personality and social aspects. And the highest increase occurred in the social and personality aspects. 2) Increasing the ability to make an integrated RPP IPA less significant.

Abstract

Integrated STEM 3.0 Approach to Enhance Critical Thinking Skills. Critical Objectives: This study aimed to examine the effect of the STEM 3.0 approach assisted by real material and virtual simulation to enhance the CTS. Methods: The research method used Quasi-Experimental Designs with Matching-Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The subjects of this study were high school students of Class XI in Surabaya. Findings: Based on the research data, the increase in the CTS of students in the 2 experimental classes was classified as moderate with an average n-gain value of students in class A2 of 0.69 and class A5 of 0.63 while the increase in CTS in the control class was classified as moderate with a lower value (a score of 0.36). Based on the results of statistical tests, there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. Conclusion: Thus, it is concluded that the integrated STEM 3.0 approach can enhance the CTS. Keywords: integrated STEM 3.0, CTS, real material, virtual simulations.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i3.202219
