Abstract

Online stores with more than 3000 reviews have made it difficult for consumers to find reviews that can be used as the main source of information to decide on a purchase. This research aims to investigate the credibility of reviews that consumers can be trusted. This research used mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative) through sequential explanation. In this quantitative study, 300 respondents were collected using a voluntary sampling technique, and 900 reviews from three e-commerce sites in Indonesia were selected purposely. The qualitative approach used in-depth interviews with three consumers and a selected seller using a purposive sampling technique. The data was processed by multiple linear regression and descriptive using SPSS 25.0 and Nvivo 12. Research results confirmed that the motivation to read reviews and consumer attitudes toward reviews significantly affect online purchasing decisions, but a third of consumers still rarely provide reviews. Furthermore, based on source credibility, E-WOM quality, and recommendation rating, in the three e-commerce sites, almost half of the reviews studied were hard to be trusted. Based on these findings, this research summarizes the policy implications for consumers and governments and suggests future research.

Abstract

Generation Y has the highest rate of Covid-19 contaminated cases. This is due to frequent movements and activities outside the home. This study was intended to investigate the impact of individual characteristics, knowledge, and attitudes on behaviour to prevent infection with Covid-19 in Ponorogo. The sample in this study amounted to 100 people with an age range of 20-35 years, consisting of 16 people and 84 women. The sampling technique used is voluntary sampling. The questionnaire was made in a form, and the link was distributed online. Data analysis used descriptive tests and SEM-PLS. The results of the SEM-PLS show that there is a significant effect of gender on knowledge and behaviour in preventing infection with Covid-19, as well as attitudes towards behaviour in preventing infection with Covid-19. The results show no significant differences in knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours to prevent infection with Covid-19 in urban and rural individuals. Individual women have better knowledge and behaviour to prevent infection with Covid-19 than men, and good behaviour will increase behaviour to prevent infection with Covid-19. Socialization and behaviour to prevent infection with Covid-19 must be increased, especially for men.

Abstract

Debt behavior often occurs when someone is in an urgent situation to meet their needs. This study aims to analyze the influence of family characteristics, financial literacy, and hedonic lifestyle on debt management behavior in young married families. The sample in this study are middle-aged women who married at the age of 19 and under and live in Jabodetabek. The sampling technique used purposive sampling method as many as 52 people who had or currently had debt. Data were processed using descriptive statistical tests and multiple linear regression tests. The level of financial literacy (knowledge, attitude, and behavior dimensions) of respondents is categorized as medium. Respondents in this study did not have a tendency to live a hedonic lifestyle. Likewise, debt management behavior is in the low category. There is a negative relationship between respondents' age and debt management behavior. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that financial literacy (attitude dimension) has a significant effect on debt management behavior. This means that the better the respondent's attitude towards finance, the better the behavior in managing debt. Meanwhile, there is no significant influence between hedonic lifestyle and debt management behavior. Financial literacy needs to be well owned in order to create good debt management behavior.

Abstract

The large number of residential properties makes market competition increase. Many factors can influence consumer behavior before deciding to buy a product. The level of knowledge, perceptions, and attitudes can be factors that can influence consumer intentions to buy housing with the urban farming concept. This study aims to analyze the effect of knowledge, perceptions and attitudes on the intention to buy a house with the concept of urban farming. The scope of discussion in this study is limited to the influence of demographic characteristics, knowledge, perceptions, and attitude variables regarding the models and benefits of urban farming and the interest in buying residential real estate in the city of Makassar. The data analysis method used is a quantitative method. The collected data is processed using SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Science) and SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis tools with the PLS (Partial Least Squares) approach. The results obtained were 202 respondents and showed that the knowledge variable did not have a significant effect on consumer interest in buying a house with the urban farming concept. However, if it is mediated by attitude and perception variables, the result is that knowledge variables indirectly affect consumer interest. Perception and attitude variables have a significant direct effect on consumer buying interest. The results of the study also show that high prices will affect consumer buying interest. The managerial implication of this research is that developers can use the results of this research to develop their marketing strategies to attract consumers to buy houses. Keywords: intention to buy, knowledge, perceptions, attitudes, urban farming
