Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of family support, school environment, and coping strategies on the self-identity development of cadets in government-affiliate school. A quantitative approach with an explanatory design and survey method was used, involving 331 cadet respondents from levels I and II, aged 18 to 21, at a vocational school under the Ministry of Transportation. The instrument used was a standardized questionnaire to measure the variables of family support, school environment, coping strategies, and the self-identity development. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results of the study indicate that family support, school environment, and coping strategies have a significant positive effect on the self-identity development. Family support plays a crucial role in personal development and future planning, while a supportive school environment, characterized by positive relationships between teachers and peers, accelerates the self-identity development. Furthermore, effective coping strategies assist in managing stress and life challenges more effectively. These findings emphasize the importance of family support, school environment, and coping strategies in supporting the personal development of cadets in government-affiliate school. The implications of this study suggest that the government should support inclusive educational policies, train teachers to address the emotional and social needs of cadets, and encourage further research on coping strategies and mental health in the context of vocational education.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of cultural elements, personal development, pricing strategies, and tourist attractions on visitor satisfaction and their intent to revisit the Grafika Cikole Tourism Terminal (TWGC) in West Java, Indonesia. The central research problem addressed is the fluctuating number of tourists at TWGC in recent years, potentially threatening the site's sustainability as an ecotourism destination. This fluctuation prompts the need to understand the underlying factors that influence tourist satisfaction and revisit intentions. Utilizing a sample of 210 respondents, data were analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to elucidate the relationships among the identified variables. The findings indicate that pricing emerged as the most significant determinant of customer satisfaction and tourists' propensity to return to TWGC. Additionally, cultural engagement was found to play a pivotal role in enhancing visitor experiences. Based on these insights, several managerial implications are proposed to bolster tourist interest and satisfaction. These include the enhancement of cultural events, diversification of traditional culinary offerings, the organization of regularly scheduled performances aimed at senior visitors, the introduction of innovative events, and the establishment of competitively priced tour packages. This research contributes to the understanding of the critical factors influencing tourist satisfaction and retention in Indonesian tourism, providing actionable recommendations for stakeholders in the industry.

Abstract

The magnitude of Indonesia's family challenges has prompted many couples to rely on dual incomes to improve family well-being. One of the main challenges in advancing family-friendly policies in Indonesia is the absence of an integrated policy framework that explicitly places the family at the center of development. This study aims to analyze the influence of family-friendly policies, sources of stress, work-family balance, and family functioning on the subjective well-being of dual-income families. The data collection relied on an online survey of 200 dual-income families conducted in January–February 2025, analyzed using Pearson correlation and Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that family-friendly policies significantly enhance work-family balance, family functioning, and subjective family well-being. These findings highlight the strategic role of family-friendly policies in strengthening family life, while also contributing to the discourse on sustainable development planning by emphasizing the importance of integrating family-centered perspectives into policy frameworks.

Abstract

Long-distance marriage refers to a condition in which spouses live apart, potentially affecting their subjective well-being. This study aims to analyze the influence of family functioning, financial decision-making, and loneliness on subjective well-being in families experiencing long-distance marriage. A mixed-method approach was employed with 50 male and 55 female respondents. The findings indicate that family functioning scores were higher among female respondents compared to males, while no significant differences were found in other variables. The results of the SEM analysis show that family functioning on women had a significant positive effect, while loneliness on men had a significant negative effect on subjective well-being. Financial decision-making showed no significant impact. Families are encouraged to maintain shared spiritual routines and emotional connection, and engage in affective communication and social interaction to alleviate loneliness. Future research is expected to incorporate children‘s perspectives to better understand family functioning in long-distance marriage families.
