Abstract

Profil Kesehatan Kabupaten Madiun tahun 2017 menerangkan Provinsi Jawa Timur mendapatkan sertifikat eliminasi malaria sejak tahun 2014 bagi 34 kabupaten/kota dari total 200 kabupaten/ kota di Indonesia, termasuk Kabupaten Madiun. Untuk mendukung program eliminasi malaria tersebut, diperlukan peningkatan kemampuan petugas kesehatan dalam penatalaksanaan kasus malaria termasuk ketrampilan membuat kelambu celup. Metode yang digunakan berupa penyuluhan bionomik vektor dan upaya pengendalian penyakit malaria serta praktik pembuatan kelambu celup berinsektisida. Sasaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah masyarakat sejumlah 21 orang yang merupakan perwakilan dari 7 desa di Kecamatan Gemarang. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini didapatkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap bionomik dan upaya pengendaliannya sebesar 11.2%. Praktik pembuatan kelambu celup berinsektisida diikuti dan dipahami oleh seluruh peserta pengabdian masyarakat. Evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan mengunjungi beberapa rumah masyarakat yang mendapat bantuan kelambu berinsektisida dan masyarakat sudah mengerti cara mencuci dan merawat kelambu celup berinsektisida. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, baik pemerintah Kecamatan Gemarang maupun Puskesmas mendukung penuh tujuan pendampingan pembuatan kelambu celup berinsektisida untuk menekan terjadinya malaria di Kecamatan Gemarang. Program yang sudah terlaksana di Puskesmas Gemarang yaitu Durlambu (Tidur memakai kelambu) ditunjang dengan kegiatan pendampingan pembuatan kelambu celup berinsektisida yang Jurusan Kesehatan Lingkungan Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya.

Abstract

Well water in Kedung Sekar village which contains high levels of iron (Fe) can cause economic losses such as clogged pipes, yellow clothes and skin irritation. Utilization of waste corn cobs and Musa Paradisiaca peels as activated carbon can reduce Fe levels in water. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of activated carbon made from corn cobs and Musa Paradisiaca peels to reduce Fe content in water.This type of research is pre-experimental. Examination of Fe levels in the laboratory to determine the content before and after treatment. Treatment using a variety of doses of activated carbon 4 g, 6 g, 8 g. Data analysis used a statistical test, namely One Way Anova and compared it with the Minister of Health Regulation Number 32 of 2017 concerning Environmental Quality Standards and Water Health Requirements for Sanitary Hygiene Needs.The results showed that there was a decrease in Fe levels at a dose of 8 g for corn cobs activated carbon by an average of 0.95 mg/l or 94.36% and for Musa Paradisiaca peels activated carbon there was a decrease at a dose of 8 g of 1.56 mg/l or 90.74%. Statistical testing obtained the value of Sig. 0.000, which means that there is a difference in the decrease in iron (Fe) levels after adsorption with activated carbon from corn cobs and Musa Paradisiaca peels.The conclusion that can be formulated is that activated carbon from corn cobs and Musa Paradisiaca peels can reduce iron (Fe) levels in water. Suggestions for other researchers can use variations of activator KOH, CaCl2, NaOH to make activated carbon and check the quality of charcoal according to SNI 06-3730-1995

Abstract

Humans need drinking water in life and up to 70% of the human body is water. Consuming enough mineral water for the body can help the process to facilitate digestion, regulate metabolism, regulate food substances in the body and regulate body balance. 46.1% of adolescents from 1200 respondents studied when feeling thirsty prefer instant drinks compared to consuming mineral water, this causes mild dehydration with symptoms: dry lips up to the throat, body weakness. This study aimed to analyze the levels of biological and chemical parameters in alkaline water of various brands in Surabaya which were coded KW, M, P and T. This study was experimental with a post-test only control group design. The research data were statistically tested using one-way ANOVA with the aim of analyzing the levels of biological (E.Coli and MPN Coliform) and chemical (arsenic, fluoride and total chromium) parameters in alkaline water (KW, M, P, T). E.coli parameters in 4 types of alkaline water which were coded KW, M, P and T met the standard requirements, namely 0 colonies/100 ml. Chemical parameters namely arsenic met the requirements of 0-0.1 ppm, fluoride met the requirements of 0.01-1.5 ppm and total chromium met the requirements of 0.01-0.05 ppm. In accordance with the results of the examination, it is revealed that the process of making and producing alkaline water of various brands in the market under study are following the Good Food Production Methods (CPPB), thus there is no E. Coli and MPN Coliform content. Suggestions can be given to future researchers and the community; future researchers need to conduct further research on other brands of alkaline water in various areas with a wider range while the community needs to be more selective and smart in choosing alkaline water to be consumed to maintain a healthy body so they can benefit it at an affordable price

Abstract

Tuberkulosis paru adalah suatu penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Salah satu penyebab terjadinya penyakit tuberkulosis paru pada manusia adalah kondisi fisik rumah yang tidak memenuhi syarat. Tercacat penderita tuberkulosis paru pada tahun 2018–2019 (Data bulan Mei) sebanyak 38 orang pada Puskesmas Babana. Kategori rumah yang tidak memenuhi syarat di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Babana sebanyak 1.378 unit (51,65%). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan kondisi fisik rumah dengan kejadian tuberkulosis paru di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Babana. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain case control menggunakan uji chi-square dengan derajat kesalahan nilai (α) = 0,05. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 70 sampel yang terdiri dari kelompok kasus 35 sampel dan kelompok kontrol 35 sampel, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Hasil uji chi-square, kondisi fisik rumah yang mempunyai hubungan dengan kejadian tuberkulosis paru diwilayah kerja Puskesmas Babana adalah luas ventilasi (p value = 0,048), pencahayaan alami (p value = 0,023), kelembaban udara (p value = 0,022), dan suhu (p value = 0,016). Sedangkan kondisi fisik rumah yang tidak mempunyai hubungan dengan kejadian tuberkulosis paru diwilayah kerja Puskesmas Babana adalah kepadatan hunian (p value =0,550), jenis lantai (p value = 1,000) dan jenis dinding (p value =0,623).

Abstract

Pembakaran residu industri penyamakan kulit di area penyamakan kulit Magetan menghasilkan polutan berupa gas NO 2 dan SO 2 yang dapat membahayakan kesehatan pekerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sejauh mana risiko NO2 dan SO2emisi gas buang terhadap kesehatan pekerja di area penyamakan kulit Magetan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional dan pendekatan ARKL (Environmental Health Risk Analysis). Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik non-random sampling, yaitu sampel lengkap yang mencakup seluruh populasi. Pengambilan sampel udara dilakukan di area pembakaran sisa penyamakan kulit. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis risiko untuk mengetahui karakterisasi risiko pekerja yang dianggap 'aman' bila nilai RQ bernilai 1 dan tingkat risiko disebut 'tidak aman' bila nilai RQ > 1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi NO 2 gas adalah 0,000555 g/m3 dan SO 2gas adalah 0,0006948 g/m3. Hasil pengukuran tidak melebihi NAB berdasarkan PP RI No. 22 Tahun 2021. Nilai intake tertinggi untuk gas NO 2 adalah 0,00001003 mg/kg/hari dan untuk SO2 0,00001255 mg/kg/hari. Risiko tertinggi ditemukan 0,0011721 (RQ<1) untuk NO2 dan 0,00140775 (RQ<1) untuk gas SO2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas udara terhadap parameter gas NO 2 dan SO 2 di penyamakan kulit Magetan masih aman dan memenuhi standar kualitas udara nasional dalam jangka pendek, tetapi menimbulkan risiko kesehatan yang tinggi dengan jangka waktu yang lama dan terus menerus. paparan. Saran yang dapat peneliti buat adalah himbauan penggunaan masker khusus untuk meminimalisir resiko NO 2 dan SO2 gas untuk pekerja.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to analyze the levels of biological and chemical parameters in alkaline water with various trademarks in Surabaya with the code 1, 2, 3, 4. This was an experimental study with the posttest only control group design. Research data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA to assess levels of biological (MPN Coliform) and chemical (total chromium) parameters in alkaline water (1, 2, 3, 4). The E. Coli parameter in 4 brands of alkaline water (1, 2, 3 and 4) met the requirements according to the standard, namely 0 colonies/100 ml. Chemical parameters such as total chromium met the standard with ±0.001-0.01 mg/l. In accordance with the results of the analysis, the process of making and producing alkaline water from various brands under study on the market were in accordance with Good Food Production Methods (GFPM), thus MPN Coliform contents were found. Recommendations for researchers are to conduct further research with different alkaline water trademarks and in other cities with a wider scope. For the public, people are urged to be more selective and smarter in choosing alkaline water so as to gain benefits in line with the purchasing power of middle and lower economic class.

Abstract

The control of pulmonary tuberculosis is still a national program and pulmonary tuberculosis is ranked third at the Driyorejo Health Center. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between home sanitation and the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in the Driyorejo Public Health Center Work Area. The design of this research was case-control. The variables studied were the type of floor, wall, ventilation, lighting, humidity, temperature, occupancy density, kitchen smoke vents and the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis. The population was 84 houses, the control and case sample sizes were 38 houses each. Data were analyzed by Chi-square test. The results of the analysis showed that there was a relationship between the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis with ventilation area (p = 0.021), lighting (p = 0.021), humidity (p = 0.021), temperature (p = 0.038), occupancy density (p = 0.012), smoke vents kitchen (p = 0.003) and home sanitation (p = 0.01). Furthermore, it was concluded that home sanitation was associated with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis.Keywords: pulmonary tuberculosis; home sanitation ABSTRAK Penanggulangan tuberkulosis paru masih menjadi program nasional dan tuberkulosis paru masuk peringkat ketiga di Puskesmas Driyorejo. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara sanitasi rumah dengan kejadian tuberkulosis paru di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Driyorejo. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah case-control. Variabel yang diteliti adalah jenis lantai, dinding, ventilasi, pencahayaan, kelembaban, suhu, kepadatan hunian, lubang asap dapur dan kejadian tuberkulosis paru. Populasi sebanyak 84 rumah, ukuran sampel kontrol dan kasus masing-masing adalah 38 rumah. Data dianalisis dengan uji Chi-square. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara kejadian tuberkulosis paru dengan luas ventilasi (p = 0,021), pencahayaan (p = 0,021), kelembaban (p = 0,021), suhu (p = 0,038), kepadatan hunian (p = 0,012), lubang asap dapur (p = 0,003) dan sanitasi rumah (p = 0,01). Selanjutnya disimpulkan bahwa sanitasi rumah berhubungan dengan kejadian tuberkulosis paru.Kata kunci: tuberkulosis paru; sanitasi rumah

Abstract

One of the risk factors for the transmission of ARI is the condition of home sanitation that does not meet health requirements. Based on data from the Modopuro Health Center in 2020 in Modopuro village, 301 people with ARI were found and the number of healthy homes that did not meet the requirements was 46%. The results of a preliminary study of 15 houses found as many as 60% of the houses with sanitation conditions that did not meet the requirements. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between home sanitation conditions with the incidence of ARI. This type of research is descriptive analytic with aapproach case control. The variables used in this study are temperature, humidity, occupancy density, ventilation, lighting, floors, and walls. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling with a total sample of 152 samples with a control ratio of 1:1. The data obtained were analyzed using the Chi Square test. The results of this study found variables that did not meet health requirements, namely temperature 92.1%, humidity 53.9%, occupancy density 54.6%, ventilation 49.3%, lighting 45.4%, floor 3.3%, walls 26.3% and house sanitation 55.3%. Variables of air humidity (p = 0.023), occupancy density (p = 0.000), ventilation (p = 0.001), lighting (p = 0.006), floor (p = 0.023), walls (p = 0.000), and house sanitation (p = 0.000) associated with the incidence of ARI. Conclusions based on the results of the study there is a relationship between home sanitation and ARI. The community is advised to maintain the sanitary conditions of the house, such as opening windows in the morning and cleaning the house regularly.

Abstract

The quality of clean water in hospitals is an important part to pay attention to. Poor water quality can cause health problems for all hospital residents, both people with low immunity and healthy people. Clean water quality standards have been set in the Minister of Health RI no. 32 of 2017. The purpose of this study is to analyze efforts to improve the quality of clean water in public hospitals. This type of research is a literature study. The variables studied were the chemical quality of the Mn and Fe parameters, the biological quality of the total coliform parameters and the efforts to clean water. Clean water sanitation efforts in controlling Fe, Mn and microbiological parameters that can be applied to hospitals are adding chlorine to each ground tank, routine inspection of clean water microbiological parameters once a month at each sampling point that is prone to microbiological contamination in clean water. . Another effort that can be carried out is routine cleaning of each hospital reservoir in order to minimize microbiological contamination.

Abstract

A healthy house can be assessed from the physical condition of the house and behavior in disposing of waste. The coverage of healthy homes in Kedung Cowek Village in 2019 was 26%, in 2020 and 2021 it was 27%. The Cumpat Fisherman Settlement Community has the behavior of throwing garbage in the sea because of the irregular transportation system. The purpose of this study was to analyze descriptively the physical condition of the house and the behavior of disposing of garbage in the Cumpat Fisherman's Settlement, Bulak District, Surabaya City. This research uses descriptive method, the sample size is 84 houses and 83 respondents using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Collecting data using observation sheets and questionnaire sheets. The results of the study were analyzed and presented through a frequency distribution table. The results of the study on the physical condition of the house met the requirements of a healthy house (97.6%) by reviewing the ceiling, walls, floor, lighting, ventilation, temperature, humidity, and occupancy density. The results of the study regarding the behavior of disposing of waste were in good category (83.3%) but the action component was in the sufficient category (16.7%). The conclusion of the study on the assessment of the physical condition of the house obtained results that met the requirements and the behavior of disposing of garbage obtained a good category. It is necessary to hold outreach on the impact of disposing of waste on marine ecosystems and healthy homes, training on recycling, and making banners containing the prohibition of throwing garbage.
