Abstract

Academic Burnout is a problem experienced by students that causes a lack of motivation in learning and school activities. The high demands of school learning activities make students feel bored and physically exhausted. This occurs because the learning process has pushed students to their psychological and physical limits. Academic Burnout is a personal issue that must be addressed through the implementation of guidance and counseling services in schools. These services can be provided through individual or group counseling strategies. One group approach that is appealing to elementary school students is Art Therapy. Art Therapy is a therapeutic activity that uses the creative process as an expressive therapy for clients. This community service activity will be conducted in a two-day workshop on July 20-21, 2024, with expert faculty members as speakers. The workshop will take place from 08:00 AM to 03:00 PM WIB and will be held in Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. The training will be guided by instructors, with participants receiving direct guidance in designing guidance and counseling services aligned with the new curriculum paradigm, enabling guidance counselors to develop skills to address students' academic Burnout using Art Therapy. The level of program goal achievement is categorized as high, at 90%. This can be seen from the participants' understanding of the stages of implementing Group Counseling with Art Therapy techniques, with teachers showing great interest in practicing the Art Therapy techniques in each session.

Abstract

Implementation of teaching materials based on Riau Malay culture is used to determine the effect on students' creative reading skills. The importance of teaching materials for lecturers to facilitate the delivery of material in lectures. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design with a sample of 40 PGSD students. The results of the study to measure the effect must follow several stages, namely the normality test produced that the value of 0.002 <0.05 is not normally distributed. Homogeneity test 0.371> 0.05 then the results of the hypothesis are homogeneously distributed. Because of the two tests with different results, the data is not normal and homogeneous so that parametric testing is needed to find the effect of creative reading teaching materials based on Riau Malay culture by conducting the Wilcoxon test. Then the effect test was carried out 0.011 <0.05, it was concluded that the use of creative reading teaching materials based on Riau Malay culture had an effect on students' creative reading skills.

Abstract

Pendidikan atau pengenalan politik yang diberikan pada anak bukan hanya berkaitan dengan hal-hal yang sulit untuk dipahami anak, melainkan pengenalan politik ini dapat dilakukan melalui beberapa kegiatan yang sederhana yang dilakukan sebagai upaya pengenalan dasar bagi anak yang dimulai melalui sehari-hari anak bersama dengan lingkungannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki hubungan antara pemahaman politik Islam dan kesadaran nilai sosial pada anak usia dini. Dengan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pemahaman guru-guru di Jawa barat, dengan sampel 20 guru PAUD/TK di Bogor, Purwakarta, Bandung Timur, Bandung Barat, dan Subang. Prosedur pengambilan data digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa angket dengan menggunakan skala Linkert, setelah data dalam penelitian ini terkumpul, data tersebut diolah menggunakan teknik statistik regresi, yaitu menghitung rata-rata, dan persentase.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 61,6% variasi pemahaman sosial anak dapat dijelaskan oleh teori politik Islam, seperti yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai R-squared sebesar 0,616. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa pengajaran tentang politik Islam memiliki dampak yang signifikan dalam menumbuhkan pemahaman sosial anak.

Abstract

Culture influences every aspect of human life, including counseling practices. Cultural differences between counselors and clients can present challenges when counselors interpret clients' behavior through the lens of different cultural backgrounds. In the context of Indonesia, Western counseling theories are often used as references, although these cultural values do not always align with local wisdom. This study aims to explore the application of Malay culture as a model for effective counselor personality within a multicultural perspective. The research employs a literature review method by analyzing various sources related to counseling theories, Malay cultural values, and counselor competencies. The findings highlight that Malay-based counselors emphasize spirituality, knowledge, modesty, goodwill, and compassion. These values are rooted in tradition and local wisdom, prioritizing social relationships and human interconnectedness. An effective counselor not only possesses technical competence but also demonstrates empathy, patience, and high moral integrity. The results of this study emphasize the importance of developing a counseling model aligned with Indonesia’s local culture to make counseling services more relevant and effective. Malay culture, particularly in Riau Province, can serve as a reference in formulating an effective counselor’s personality. Adapting counseling approaches to local cultures is expected to enhance the quality and effectiveness of counseling services.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan agar peserta dapat menyelenggarakan dinamika kelompok dalam program Bimbingan dan Konseling bagi siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Bimbingan dan Konseling ini dapat membantu menyelesaikan atau mencegah permasalahan pada siswa di sekolah maupun dalam keluarga. Adapun metode penerapan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah ceramah, demontrasi dan latihan sederhana dalam menerapkan dinamika kelompok dalam program bimbingan dan konseling yang dilakukan oleh guru Sekolah Dasar bagi siswa di sekolah. Sasaran kegiatan pelatihan dalam mengiplementasikan program bimbingan dan konseling melalui dinamika kelompok ini adalah para guru pendidikan Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Kerinci Kanan. Sistematika rencana kegiatan (a) guru pendidikan Sekolah Dasar memahami konsep dasar bimbingan dan konseling, (b) konsep dasar dinamika kelompok di Sekolah Dasar, (c) Praktik sederhana pelaksanaan program bimbingan dan konseling (jenis-jenis pelayanan BK) yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa di sekolah dasar (d) Diskusi dan tanya jawab untuk membahas dan menjelaskan hal-hal yang kurang dipahami oleh peserta sebagai umpan balik bagi pelatih

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the validity of the instrument and the readiness of elementary school teachers in implementing multicultural-based learning in the Arts, Culture, and Crafts (SBdP) subject. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire and interview guide covering ten main indicators. The results of the validity test showed that all statement items were valid, so the instrument was suitable for use. The indicator with the highest achievement was the learning approach aspect (0.938–0.950), which confirmed the tendency of teachers to use thematic, contextual, humanist, and constructivist approaches. Conversely, the lowest achievement was found in the inclusive attitude indicator (0.533) and the use of local media (0.533), which indicated the need for improvement in both aspects. The interview results showed that teacher readiness in multicultural-based learning was in the high to very high category. Learning methods (82.6) and evaluation (82.6) were the dominant aspects, indicating teachers' ability to apply a variety of methods and fair assessment of cross-cultural artworks. Teachers' inclusive attitudes were also recorded as very high (82). However, the indicators in learning (62.7) and approaches (60.5) were still in the fairly high category. Overall, this study confirms that teachers are well prepared to support multicultural-based Arts and Culture learning, although strengthening is still needed in the aspects of approach and cultural integration so that its implementation is more comprehensive.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran Psychological Well-Being (PWB) siswa pada sistem full day school di SMAN 1 Kelayang, faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya, serta implikasi layanan bimbingan dan konseling (BK) dalam meningkatkan PWB siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner skala Likert. Jumlah responden sebanyak 182 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa (86,3%) memiliki PWB dalam kategori tinggi, 9,3% dalam kategori sedang, dan 4,4% dalam kategori rendah. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi PWB siswa meliputi usia, jenis kelamin, dan latar belakang budaya. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya peran guru BK dalam memberikan layanan konseling individu dan bimbingan kelompok untuk mendukung kesejahteraan psikologis siswa, terutama bagi siswa yang berada dalam kategori PWB rendah. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan program bimbingan di sekolah dalam rangka menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung kesehatan mental siswa secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Remaja memang rentan terhadap berbagai masalah kesehatan mental. Minimnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan remaja dalam mengelola stres, mengenali gejala gangguan mental, tekanan akademik yang tinggi, pengenalan identitas diri dan perubahan fisik serta emosional memberikan dampak yang cukup signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis remaja. Berbagai kegiatan dapat dilakukan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada remaja terhadap peningkatan kesejahteraan psikologisnya. Salah satu kegiatan yang dapat dilaksanakan dari, oleh dan untuk remaja adalah PIK-Remaja. Tidak hanya di sekolah, lingkungan masyarakat juga berperan penting dalam memberikan dukungan melalui program seperti PIK-R. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Meningkatkan pemahaman remaja tentang kesejahteraan psikologis remaja, 2) Mengoptimalisasikan peran konselor sebaya dalam komunitas PIK-R. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Bumi Ayu, Kec, Dumai Selatan. Adapun hasil Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini membuat remaja memiliki pemahaman terkait kondisi kesejahteraan psikologis sesama remaja yang meningkat sesudah diberikan layanan. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan Pengabdian diikuti dengan sangat antusias oleh para remaja dan didukung sepenuhnya oleh Lurah Kelurahan Bumi Ayu, Dumai Selatan.

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, marantau merujuk pada mahasiswa asal Minang (Sumatera Barat) yang tinggal di Bandung selama masa studi. Ada banyak mahasiswa yang mendapati diri mereka jauh dari rumah untuk pertama kalinya, mahasiswa mulai bertanggung jawab atas kesehatan, manajemen keuangan, dan kebahagiaan mereka sendiri. Penelitian ini mengkaji dan menggambarkan kondisi psychological well-being (PWB) atau mahasiswa marantau. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi usia dan variabel lain yang dapat berperan sebagai prediktor untuk menafsirkan PWB pada mahasiswa Marantau. Partisipan mengisi kuisioner menggunakan skala Kesejahteraan Psikologis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi psychological well-being (PWB) mahasiswa berada pada kategori baik. Efek interaksi variabel individual dan kontekstual disajikan dalam penelitian ini serta implikasinya dalam bimbingan dan konseling.

Abstract

Many demands of academic activity for students is difficulity for the college life. It has can be impacted for physical and psychological conditions that will be associated with psychological well-being students. The purpose of this study is to describing psychological well-being of students by using descriptive methods. The population consisted of 78 students and using purposive sampling techniques. The data in inventory consisting of 50 statement adaptation items from Ryff and Keyes. Results showed that the majority (69%) of students had psychological well-being, with characteristics not fully capable of accepting weaknesses or strengths, having a warm relationship with others, being able to make decisions independently, being able to master and manage the environment, having direction and purpose in life, and have a desire that continues to grow. Furthermore, it is spread in the high (14%) and low category (17%). The results of the study can be used as a reference for counselors in University to provide guidance and counseling services such as group guidance to improve student psychological well-being with developments to the needs and characteristics of the students.
