Abstract

Students' active speaking is a learning target that must be mastered. This research aims at increasing students activity through debate and pictorial media in Bahasa Indonesia lessons. Type of this research is classroom action research. The subjects were class X IPA at SMAN Unggul Dharmasraya, consisting of 21 students. There were 9 boys and 12 girls. There are 7 indicators of students activity through pictorial media; 1) understanding the picture, 2) conveying arguments about the pictures, 3) responding and think quickly, 4) making a motion, 5) supporting and rejecting the motion, 6) presenting data and evidence, and 7) making a closing sentence. The results of the pre-observation research shows that there are 9 (43%) students active in the learning process. Furthermore, in the first cycle of first meeting, there are two active groups (29%) speaking and enthusiastic in discussing. In the first cycle of second meeting, there are 3 groups (43%) are active. Then in the second cycle of first meeting, there are four groups (57.1%) active. In the second cycle of secong meting, there are 6 groups (85.7%) are actives. It can be said that debate and pictorial media can increase students activity in learning.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has had a major impact on various aspects of life, including in the world of education and literature. One real change is the shift in the way the younger generation, especially Generation Z, accesses and appreciates literary works. This generation grew up in a fast-paced, visual, and interactive digital environment, so they are more interested in digital media, such as short videos, podcasts, and social media than conventional literary texts. This has led to declining interest in classic and contemporary literary works. Therefore, it is important to explore how digital technology can be utilised to preserve literature based on the characteristics of Generation Z. This study uses a literature study and observation approach. Literature studies are conducted by reviewing scientific articles, rereviewing reports, and current data related to digital literacy and literature. Observations are made on digital platforms such as Wattpad, YouTube, podcasts, and social media containing literary content. The study results show that digitising literary works, audio-visual format presentation, and active social media involvement can increase the younger generation's interest in and appreciation of literature. Digital technology also plays a role in expanding public access to literary works across time and regions. With a contextual and creative approach, digital technology is a distribution medium and a strategic instrument in preserving, revitalising, and inheriting works.

Abstract

Pembelajaran sastra memegang peran yang sangat penting dalam mengembangkan keterampilan literasi siswa dan menumbuhkan apresiasi terhadap karya sastra. Sastra tidak hanya mengajarkan tentang keindahan bahasa, tetapi juga membantu siswa memahami nilai-nilai kehidupan, budaya, dan pemikiran kritis. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya, terdapat berbagai permasalahan yang menghambat efektivitas metode pembelajaran sastra. Salah satu masalah utama yang sering dihadapi adalah terbatasnya keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Banyak siswa yang merasa kurang tertarik atau bahkan cenderung tidak peduli dengan materi sastra, karena pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran terkesan monoton dan tidak relevan dengan pengalaman mereka. Selain itu, pemahaman yang kurang mengenai pentingnya sastra dalam pendidikan juga menjadi tantangan besar. Beberapa siswa dan bahkan pendidik sering kali memandang sastra sebagai pelajaran yang kurang praktis atau tidak langsung berguna dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu, kurangnya pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran sastra juga menjadi kendala. Di era digital ini, teknologi dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membawa sastra lebih dekat dengan dunia nyata siswa, seperti melalui media sosial, film, atau aplikasi literasi interaktif. Tantangan lainnya adalah mengajarkan apresiasi estetika karya sastra yang menghubungkan materi dengan pengalaman serta minat siswa. Model pembelajaran yang masih konvensional, seperti ceramah atau diskusi biasa, cenderung tidak mampu memotivasi siswa untuk lebih aktif dalam menggali dan mengapresiasi karya sastra. Kurikulum yang kaku dan tidak relevan memperburuk situasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi masalah dan memberi rekomendasi pengembangan metode pembelajaran sastra yang lebih efektif, interaktif, dan kontekstual.

Abstract

Dari Asesmen Nasional (AN) 2021 kita dapat mengetahui bahwa capaian kompetensi literasi siswa sekolah dasar (SD) masih rendah. Di tingkat SD, satu dari dua perserta didik belum mencapai kompetensi minimum literasi. Artinya, tidak sedikit anak didik kita yang jauh dari tuntutan kompetensi literasi masa kini dan masih sulit memahami informasi dari teks yang ia baca. Hal demikian menyebabkan rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam berbagai aspek keteramilan berbahasa yang harus mereka miliki di tingkat sekolah dasar ini. Salah satu keterampilan yang menjadi perhatian bagi guru sekolah dasar adalah bagaimana menumbuhkan Kemamuan berbicara .Keterampilan berbicara adalah kemampuan mengucap bunyi-bunyi artikulasi atau kata-kata untuk mengekspresikan, menyatakan, serta menyampaikan pikiran, gagasan, dan perasaan. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan dalam memanfaatkan aplikasi Kipin School Sebagai Literasi Digital untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan berbicara pada anak SD Kelas Rendah. Metode studi pustaka dipakai dalam penelitian dengan memakai data sekunder, data bersumber pada buku dan artikel di jurnal lokal maupun in ternasional dalam internet. Topik pembahasan mencakup keterampilan berbicara, anak SD Kelas Rendah, dan aplikasi Kipin School. Data bersumber dari buku dan artikel yang terbit di Indonesia maupun internasional. Dengan teknik mengumpulkan data memakai teori milik Mary W. George derngan menerapkan 9 langkah proses penelitian studi pustaka. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Kemampuan berbicara pada siswa kelas rendah perlu diasah dan dilatih dengan meningkatkan kemamuan literasi baca tulis terlebih dahulu dengan Aplikasi Kipin Scholl sebagai media literasi digital. Dengan Buku cerita digital dan video cerita rakyat ada Kipin Scool dan strategi bembelajaran yang tepat mendorong kemampuan berbicara anak SD kelas rendah untuk mampu berbicara berdasarkan literasinya terhadap informasi yang ia peroleh dari sumber literasinya.

Abstract

The new independet curriculum allows students to show off their scientific talents in an environment free of stress, anxiety, and worry thanks to its relaxed and enjoyable learning style. Science learning, an invention of the independent curriculum, combines the scientific and social sciences. In order for children' minds to grow and their imaginations to flourish, science education is crucial. Aiming to foster children's creativity, independence, and psychological well-being, scientific education is methodically designed to facilitate learning via interaction, inspiration, entertainment, challenge, and active involvement. Furthermore, it is anticipated that youngsters can cultivate analytical, imaginative, and inquisitive thought processes. An attempt to tailor the educational experience to the unique requirements of each student is known as differentiated learning. At this time, differentiated learning is not widely used. Content, processes, products, and learning settings were all considered in the researchers' literature assessment. This literature study aims to accomplish three goals: (1) define differentiated learning; (2) describe its principles and characteristics; and (3) examine its applications in scientific education. Books and scholarly papers form the basis of this literature evaluation. The analysis reveals that: (1) students' learning styles can be accommodated by combining differentiated approaches with various models that meet their needs, such as Problem Based Learning (PBL), Project Based Learning (PjBL), and others; (2) students find this approach more engaging and it can improve their learning outcomes; and (3) students' interests and learning styles can be met by using this approach in science learning.

Abstract

The title of this research is Moral Values ​​in the Novel Jangan Blame Aku Selingkuh by Renita April. The main objective of the research is to explain the moral values ​​contained in the Novel Jangan Blame Aku Selingkuh written by Renita April. and The theories used in this research include theories from Nurgiyantoro (2012), Wicaksomo (2017), Aeni (2018). The methodology applied in this research is a descriptive method with data sources from the novel Jangan Blame Aku Selingkuh by Renita April. Data collection techniques used in this research include library study techniques, recording techniques, and analysis techniques. The conclusion of the research on moral values ​​in the novel Don't Blame Me for Cheating by Renita April is as follows: (1) The relationship between individuals and themselves includes a) responsibility, b) self-esteem, c) courage, d) emotional control, e) honesty, f) patience and steadfastness, h) regret and i) injustice. (2) The relationship between individuals and others in a social context consists of a) helping each other, b) respecting others, c) affection, d) friendship, e) humility, f) honesty, g) caring, h) empathy, i) loyalty. (3) The relationship between individuals and God includes a) gratitude, b) surrender and c) obedience to God.

Abstract

Language serves as a symbolic system used by humans to communicate, express thoughts and emotions, and convey information. In the era of digital technology, social media has become an interactive space that fosters the emergence and development of new forms of language, one of which is slang. This study aims to describe the forms, functions, and meanings of slang variations found in the comment sections of YouTube channels owned by @DeddyCorbuzier and @DennySumargo. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, using documentation and observation techniques to collect user comments from January 1 to March 31, 2025. The findings reveal that the forms of slang identified include acronyms, abbreviations, phonetic spellings, borrowings from foreign languages, and the creation of new lexical items. The primary functions of slang use involve emotional expression, social critique, group identity markers, and communicative efficiency. Semantically, slang often undergoes symbolic shifts or takes on metaphorical meanings, depending on the user's social context. Abstract

By using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach at Al Azhar 32 Islamic Elementary School in Padang, this study aims to improve students' reading and writing interest. Learning motivation is crucial to improving students' academic achievement, especially in basic literacy skills such as reading and writing. However, due to the lack of diverse and non-contextual teaching strategies, elementary school students often have low literacy motivation. The PBL paradigm, which focuses on solving real-world problems, is one of the creative, more dynamic, and challenging learning methodologies needed. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) method uses two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were fourth-grade students, and a learning motivation questionnaire was administered before and after the activity, along with observations of learning activities and interviews with teachers and students. Descriptive, qualitative, and quantitative analyses were conducted on the data. The research findings indicate that using the PBL paradigm significantly increased children's motivation to write and read. Students' enthusiasm increases, they participate more actively in class discussions, can express their thoughts more systematically, and become interested in literacy-related activities. The Problem-Based Learning approach has increased elementary school students' reading motivation. Through problem-based learning that can be applied to students' daily lives, this approach encourages emotional and cognitive engagement.

Abstract

The digital era has brought fundamental changes to education, shifting the learning paradigm toward more intensive use of technology. The current generation, known as digital natives, has high expectations for the use of technology in the learning process. This requires educators to provide learning media that are innovative, interactive, and relevant to current developments. In Indonesian language learning, strategies are needed that can utilize technology while maintaining the nation's cultural and linguistic values. One medium with great potential is educational podcasts. This research used a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were collected through a review of various relevant literature sources, such as scientific journals and articles, to obtain a theoretical foundation. Data analysis was carried out in three stages: orientation to understand the topic in general, reduction to filter important information, and selection to select the most relevant data according to the research focus. The results of the study indicate that educational podcasts are effective as a medium for Indonesian language learning in the digital era. Podcasts provide easy access, improve listening skills, and stimulate student creativity. Their success is greatly influenced by integration with the curriculum, content development tailored to student needs, technological infrastructure support, and teacher training in managing this media. Despite challenges such as differences in student learning styles and varying content quality, solutions can be found through the use of multimedia, curated materials, and teacher competency development. Podcasts have significant potential to strengthen Indonesian language learning while preserving the richness of Indonesia's language and culture in the digital age.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji: (1). Bahasa apa saja yang digunakan secara berdampingan oleh masyarakat penutur di Panti Kabupaten Pasaman, dan (2). Bagaimana faktor-faktor sosial, budaya dan pendidikan yang mempengaruhi pemilihan bahasa dalam berbagai kondisi. Dalam hal ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif, yaitu metode yang menjabarkan mengenai hal yang akan diteliti dalam bentuk kata-kata. Penelitian ini sangat sesuai untuk menguraikan dan mengolah data-data dalam penelitian sehingga dapat menjadi uraian deskripsi yang menarik. Beberapa alasan digunakan pendekatan kualitatif dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini akan diarahkan pada Diglosia pada Tindak Tutur Masyarakat Panti Kabupaten Pasaman Perspektif  Sosiolinguistik. Ingin memastikan kebenaran data. Karena data sosial sulit untuk dipastikan kebenarannya jika belum menemukan apa yang dimaksud.
