Abstract

The increasing electric energy consumption must be balanced with good electricity network quality. To overcome this, we need a distribution network reconfiguration. Reconfiguration in power distribution network is done to improve power distribution network quality. Problem that exist in the radial distribution network is power losses. To minimize the power losses can be overcome by compensating capacitor. Done by determining the location of capacitors in distribution networks. With that the capacitor compensates the distribution network is more effective and efficient in distributing power. In this research discusses the network reconfiguration using simple branch exchange method to reduce power losses in radial distribution networks. The reconfiguration method was carried out with the help of the Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) 12.6.0 software and has been tested by PT REKAYASA INDUSTRI and PLN Area South Kalimantan on the 20 kV distribution system of Cempaka feeder, South Kalimantan. With this reconfiguration, the voltage drop that occurs on several buses, especially bus 37 and 44, has a voltage drop of up to 95.03% to 95.31% with an average drop voltage of 95.1%, which means the average voltage drop. each feeder is ableto send electricity to consumers properly.

Abstract

By examining the issue of the electrical power distribution system's dependability, particularly on the outer islands, in this case Pulau Panjang, it can be seen that the usage of electrical energy in Indonesia is still predominantly controlled by steam power plants. It is discovered that the Diesel Power Plant is this location's primary source of electrical energy. Since 2019, the use of PLTD has been running continuously here, with four primary engines operating efficiently. However, each day, only two machines run alternately for 12 hours, raising a reliability concern that has to be looked into. The SAIDI and SAIFI values obtained using these approaches are extremely high (403,645 for SAIDI and 16 for SAIFI), Then, it was claimed that an index comparison based on SPLN 68-2: 1986, IEEE, and WCS as of January 2022 to June 2022 was erroneous. Thus, the installation of PLTS in the Long Island region is required as a substitute for electrical energy. In order to achieve optimal performance, the diesel working time limit is decreased using the PLTS technology

Abstract

An insulation layer is used to cover the transformer winding in a transformer. Commonly used insulations in transformers include oil insulation and paper insulation. Paper insulation is soft and flexible, adapting to any desired shape. The crucial factors to consider in insulation are strength and durability. This research was conducted through testing with two conditions: varying the thickness of the paper and the condition of the paper when dried and immersed in insulation oil. The test results show that insulation paper with a thickness of 1.04 mm in a dry state has an average breakdown voltage of 6.7 kV. When immersed in oil, the same thickness has a breakdown voltage of 23.82 kV, indicating that insulation paper with the immersion method has a better breakdown voltage than dry insulation paper.
