Abstract

Several cities in the Indonesian region are tropical areas that have a fairly high level of lightning insecurity, one of which is the Jayapura city. Demographic conditions make up to the occurrence of lightning strikes and fall into the category of regions that have a fairly high level of lightning insecurity. One of the causes of frequent interference in high-voltage systems comes from lightning. For this reason, it is necessary to optimize the interference that may occur by setting the distance between the lightning arrester and the transformer so as to minimize the level of interference that can occur due to lightning. Lightning arrester is one of the protection tools used to protect equipment against short circuit and lightning. From the results and analysis that has been done obtained results with a distance of 4.11 m and 4.40m which has an impulse voltage value due to surja that arrives at its transformer at skyline substation of 114.22 kV and 114.80 kV.  While the optimal distance from the placement of the lightning arrester with the transformer is at a distance of 0.58m at that distance obtained a large value of impulse voltage due to surja that arrives at the transformer of 107.16 kV. The value of impulse voltage due to surja is smaller when compared to the value of impulse voltage due to surja obtained from the lightning arrester separated from the transformer. So that in this study it can be concluded that a good lightning arrester placement is required to be as close as possible to the equipment it protects in order to neutralize the disturbances that can occur.

Abstract

Reliability describes the proportion of service level when power is delivered from the system to the customer. PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Biak still experiences frequent power outages due to fallen trees, animal activities such as snakes, and disturbances due to blackouts due to bad weather, which affects the reliability value. By using SAIDI and SAIFI to determine the level of reliability at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Biak, then based on the standards that have been determined by the Main Unit for the Papua and West Papua Regions with a SAIDI value of 10.11 hours/customer/year and SAIFI = 9.72 times/customer/year. For this reason, periodic maintenance is carried out such as tree removal, installation of fibers, installation of insulators and repair of SUTM and SUTR constructions. After the maintenance, the results showed that there was a change in the value of SAIDI and SAIFI, namely ULP Biak City, the value of SAIDI = 5.9 hours/customer and SAIFI = 4.98 times/customer with a percentage decrease of 87.6% and 88.8%, respectively. ULP Yumdori value SAIDI = 11.48 hours/customer and SAIFI = 5.97 times/customer with a percentage decrease of 90.1% and 94.3%, respectively. ULP Serui value SAIDI = 6.48 hours/customer and SAIFI = 3.79 times/customer with a percentage decrease of 83.4% and 86.9%. ULP Waropen value SAIDI = 0.77 hours/customer and SAIFI = 0.95 times/customer with a percentage decrease of 92.2% and 86%, respectively.

Abstract

Virtual instrumentation  is a new technology that combines hardware  and software computer technology which replace instrument traditional in measurement so that more efficient and accurate.  One of the softwares that is used within building a virtual instrumentation is made by National Instrument and called  Labview .Combination electronics digital hardware   and software labview build an instrument that can do measurement  as needed withquite cheap  investatment  .In this case Laptop and Labview is used to display temperature and Humidity that are captured by arduino system in the display that is easy to see .   Wihin this article writer do researching about monitoring temperature and humidity  using labview with Arduino system for preventing fire disaster. The sensor used to measure temperature and humidity is DHT11 and the microcontroller used is Arduino Un.  The monitoring humidity and tenperature are did at Laboratory of Industrial Electronic STT PLN Jakarta. The results of this study are monitoring temperature and humidity can be done continuously with the Virtual Instrumentation System. Early detection of fire hazard occurs when the temperature change is monitored, the value rises and the humidity value decreases in a very short period of timeABSTRAK:Instrumentasi virtual adalah suatu  teknologi baru yang menggabungkan teknologi perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak komputer menggantikan alat ukur tradisional dalam pengukuran agar lebih efisien dan akurat. Salah satu perangkat lunak yang digunakan dalam membangun suatu instrumentasi virtual adalah perangkat lunak buatan perusahaan National Instrument yang disebut Labview. Penggabungan perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak Labview bisa membentuk alat ukur yang bisa melakukan pengukuran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang diinginkan dengan investasi biaya yang tidak mahal. Dalam hal ini Laptop dengan Labview berfungsi untuk menampilkan hasil penangkapan data temperatur dan kelembaban oleh Sistem Arduino dalam bentuk tampilan yang mudah  dilihat. Dalam artikel ini penulis melakukan penelitian mengenai pemantauan temperatur dan kelembaban  untuk pencegahan bahaya kebakaran. Sistem tersebut digunakan  sebagai pendeteksi dini bahaya kebakaran. Sensor yang digunakan untuk mengukur temperature dan kelembaban udara adalah DHT11 dan mikrokontroler yang digunakan adalah arduino uno.   Pemantauan temperatur dan kelembaban dilakukan di Laboratorium Elektronika Industri STT PLN Jakarta. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pemantauan temperatur dan kelembaban dapat dilakukan secara terus menerus dengan Sistem Instrumentasi Virtual. Pendeteksian dini bahaya kebakaran terjadi saat adanya perubahan temperatur  yang dipantau nilainya  semakin naik  dan nilai  kelembaban yang semakin turun  dalam kurun waktu yang  sangat singkat.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan formal yang mempunyai tujuan menciptakan lulusan sesuai dengan standar kompetensi. Lulusan tersebut adalah lulusan yang siap menjadi tenaga kerja tingkat menengah yang terampil, terlatih dan terdidik, serta mempunyai sikap sebagai juru teknik dalam melaksanakan pembangunan dibidang teknologi. Keberhasilan SMK dalam menghasilkan lulusan yang mempunyai keahlian tersebut, dipengaruhi oleh mutu pendidikan. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan agar lulusan SMK dapat bersaing di dunia kerja adalah dengan memberikan lebih banyak praktek dibandingkan teori. Salah satu materi yang diberikan di SMK adalah materi Sistem Mikroprosesor dan Mikrokontroler. Dari pelaksanaan program Kemitraan Masyarakat yang disenggarakan di SMKN 6 Tangerang selatan ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman guru dan siswa-siswi SMK Negeri 6 Tangerang Selatan tentang Sistem Pengontrolan elektronis berbasis Mikrokontroler. Keinginan siswa untuk mempelajari sistem otomatisasi pengontrolan elektronis berbasis mikrokontroller. Siswa dan guru di SMKN 6 Tangerang Selatan memiliki pengetahuan dan pemahaman guru dan siswa tentang penggunaannya arduino beserta pemogramannya. Meningkatnya pengetahuan guru dan siswa tentang aplikasi sistem kendali sederhana. Pelatihan atau kegiatan ini sangat perlu untuk dikembangkan agar kegiatan berikutnya menjadi lebih baik dan berguna didalam peningkatan SDM yang menjadi bagian penting dalam mewujudkan “transferable skills” yang telah dipelajari.

Abstract

The use of solar energy as an alternative to fossil fuels for electricity generation is increasingly being carried out nowadays. considering the decreasing oil reserves and also the environmental pollution that they cause. in order to increase the utilization of solar energy utilization in Indonesia, it is necessary to conduct socialization or introduction to various elements of society, especially students, so that it is expected to provide understanding and will also increase the utilization of solar cells in the future. socialization of Renewable Energy Utilization (PLTS) carried out at SMP IT ALMAKA Jakarta was conducted by giving an introduction to how solar cells work, problems regarding solar cells and how to apply solar cells to meet the electricity needs of the community. The presentation was conducted with an interactive method with theoretical exposure, demonstration of how to use solar cells, and question and answer sessions. the results obtained were that the participants seemed enthusiastic and able to understand how to apply solar cells seen in the question and answer session. so that participants who are the younger generation are expected to be able to develop and utilize the use of solar cells for future energy sources

Abstract

The negative impact of fossil-fueled plants and the lack of public understanding of renewable energy lies behind the holding of these PKM activities with the aim of educating and at the same time transferring technology that is directly beneficial to the community in the form of solar powered street lighting. From the surveys that have been conducted where there are no available street lighting facilities so that there are some community activities that are difficult to do at night. From this work, there were two important things, among others, that the community gained an understanding of renewable energy and knowledge to efficiently use energy to reduce the environmental impact of the dominant fossil power plant in Indonesia. The second is that with the help of solar-powered street lights, the community is very helpful in carrying out activities at night and creates more secure conditions in the community.

Abstract

Renewable energy, especially solar power plants (PLTS), is now begin to develop their applications to many forms, such as: installed as a home power supply, power supply for buildings, and also as power supply for street lighting (solar street light). Madrasah Aliyah Al-Khairiyah Rancranji In this regard, as a partner, demand a socialization and a study for their students to understand more about renewable energy topics especially about solar energy. And the limited electric power is also one of the problems for this school. Therefore, PKM activity in Madrasah Aliyah Al-Khairiyah Rancaranji is a solution given by the PKM team by providing learning and an introduction of renewable energy as well as workshop and installation of PLTS and road lamps based on solar cell. Results gained after the implementation of this activity are students understand and knows about the renewable energy, its application and its benefits in daily life.

Abstract

The use of renewable energy (EBT) is increasing to achieve the target of 23% by 2025. There needs to be a variety of preparations in welcoming the transition of fossil-based energy to renewable energy. One of them is by improving the quality of human resources that excel in developing the use of renewable energy in Indonesia. Through the Electrical Engineering PkM Team IT-PLN had the opportunity to provide counseling or education to the academic community of MA Al-Khairiyah Rancaranji. The activity is in the form of learning the installation of solar power plant components and the utilization of solar energy in the form of prototype portable plts. The learning improved students' understanding of renewable energy and was able to assemble photovoltaic system components into prototype portable plts with a capacity of 100 WP. Then the tool is tested using a lamp load of 9 watts to find out the amount of current and voltage produced. From this activity, it can be known that the students of MA Al-Khairiyah Rancaranji are very enthusiastic in knowing about renewable energy and can apply it in the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Listrik merupakan hal yang sangat dibutuhkan masyarakat khususnya diwilayah yang belum terjangkau seperti wilayah perbatasan, terdapat banyak kendala dan permasalahan yang dihadapi untuk listrik dapat sampai ke masyarakat khususnya wilayah perbatasan. PLTS dapat menjadi solusi yang handal bagi penyediaan energi di daerah perbatasan yang terletak jauh dari jaringan listrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana pemanfaatan potensi energi matahari sebagai salah satu satu wilayah yang belum teraliri listrik, berdasarkan pengamatan dari segi geografis dan demografi wilayah tersebut, memiliki potensi untuk dibangun PLTS. Dari hasil perhitungan dan analisa di lokasi prioritas perbatasan, total kebutuhan energi listrik yang dibutuhkan adalah sebesar 288.1 kWh/hari. Total kebutuhan energi listrik tersebut di atas sudah termasuk cadangan energi listrik 30% dan rugi-rugi sistem 30%. Kebutuhan panel surya adalah sebesar 444 unit, sedangkan total kebutuhan baterai yang dibutuhkan adalah sebesar 42 unit. Battery Charge Controller yang dibutuhkan adalah sebesar 8 unit. Inverter yang dibutuhkan adalah sebesar 10 unit. Adapun besarnya kebutuhan biaya investasi pemanfaatan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya (PLTS) adalah sebesar Rp. 23,466,264,000

Abstract

Grounding system is one way to reduce the effect of an electric current that can occur by several kinds of causes, such as leakage current or short circuit and the result of lightning surges. One method of grounding on a power transformer used by GIS Jatiwaringin is to use a NGR (Neutral Grounding Resistor) mounted on the 20 kV side, while on the 150 kV side it uses direct grounding (solid grounding) and the presence of a Ground Fault Relay. The value of single-phase short circuit current to the ground with resistance R = 12 Ω at the location with the percentage of disturbance of 25% that is equal to 928.48 Ω. Meanwhile, the value of single-phase short-circuit current to the ground without passing R at the location with a disturbance percentage of 25% is equal to 4066.55 Ω. Thus, the effect of the NGR on a single-phase to short-circuit fault current is to limit the one-phase short-circuit fault current to the ground so it does not flow to the neutral point of the transformer. The TMS value on the GFR on the outgoing side based on calculations is 0.11 and based on the installed relay is 0.12. Meanwhile, the TMS value on the GFR on the incoming side based on calculations is 0.27 and based on the installed relay is 0.15. Then, at the location with 25% disturbance percentage is 0.382 s. The difference between the relay's working time on the outgoing side and the incoming side is still in accordance with applicable standards, with a maximum difference of 0.4 seconds.
