Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkaan hasil belajar IPA materi gaya dan gerak melaui pendekatan saintifik dengan menggunakan model problem based learning (PBL).Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan memberikan tindakan dalam dua siklus pembelajaran terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan, Penelitian ini dilaksana pada bulan April 2021.Subyek penelitiannya adalah 13 peserta didik kelas IV SD Negri 7 pasir putih.Hasil belajar diperoleh dengaan menggunakan tes pilihaan ganda.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model problem based learning (PBL), dapat meningkatkaan hasil be lajar peserta didik dimana pada siklus 1 dalam kategori yang tinggi peserta didik 61,54% sedangkan peserta didik  yang rendah 38,46%, Tetapi model ini belum meningkat hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus I jadi menggunakan siklus II dalam kategori nilai peserta didik yang  tinggi 76,92% sedangkan yang rendah 23,07%.Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Saintifik Dengan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL), Hasil Belajar.

Abstract

The problem in this study departs from the low ability of blind children to recognize and classify animal species. Blind is a term for those who experience obstacles in vision, both totally blind and low vision. Therefore we need a learning that is able to improve the ability to recognize and classify the types of animals, namely by using miniature media. The purpose of this research is to improve the ability to recognize and classify animal species through miniature media for blind children. The subject in this study was a blind child who was classified as Low Vision Class IV at the Merauke State SLB. This study uses the Single Subject Research (SSR) experimental method, which focuses on individuals as research samples with an A – B – A design. Data collection techniques used are tests and actions. The data analysis technique in this study uses descriptive statistics and the results are displayed in graphical form. The results of the research on the subject showed an increase in the percentage of ability to recognize and classify animal species before and after the intervention. The mean level in baseline phase 1 was 20, the mean level in intervention was 74.7 and the mean level in baseline phase 2 was 84.4. This shows that there was an increase in the mean level of 86.6 from baseline 1 to baseline 2. It can be concluded that using miniature media can improve the ability to recognize and classify animal types in blind children.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of community understanding and strategies for managing mangroves in Pasimarannu Village, East Sinjai District, Sinjai Regency. This research was conducted in Pasahkue Hamlet, Pasimarannu Village from March to April 2023. The method in this study was carried out by interviews and questionnaire assistance with 70 respondents as samples. As well as analyzed with Likert Scale Analysis to determine community understanding of mangrove rehabilitation and SWOT Analysis to determine strategic direction for mangrove management in Pasimarannu Village. The results showed that the level of community understanding of mangrove rehabilitation in Pasimarannu Village obtained an ecological understanding score of 65.83% (good category), participation understanding of 71.25% (good category), and understanding of rehabilitation with a value of 76.71% ( good category). There are 2 strategic priority directions for mangrove management in Pashakue Hamlet, Pasimarannu Village based on the position matrix, swot matrix and determining alternative strategic ranking priorities in the WO strategy, namely: 1. Providing support for mangrove management policies as coastal protection so that the number of mangroves can be maintained or added b. Increase planting mangroves and carrying out strict supervision.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) learning in science subjects at SD Negeri 23 Kendari. The results of the study indicate that teachers have implemented HOTS principles in planning and implementing learning, in accordance with the 2013 Curriculum. The Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) used includes operational verbs at cognitive levels C4 to C6, which encourage students to think critically, analytically, and creatively. Students are able to demonstrate these abilities through activities such as making mind maps and responding to learning evaluations. However, the implementation of HOTS learning online during the pandemic experienced obstacles that affected the effectiveness of the learning process. Supporting factors for HOTS implementation include the availability of learning media, a conducive school environment, and teachers who have a positive understanding and perception of HOTS. Conversely, inhibiting factors include variations in student abilities, limited facilities such as projectors and the internet, and obstacles to student attendance in online learning. Science learning with the HOTS approach has been proven to improve students' abilities in analyzing, evaluating, and creating solutions to real problems, making learning more meaningful and relevant in everyday life

Abstract

Every pregnant woman is strongly recommended to undergo comprehensive and quality antenatal care (ANC) at least four times, consisting of at least once in the first trimester (before 14 weeks of gestation), at least once in the second trimester (14–28 weeks of gestation), and at least twice in the third trimester (between 28–36 weeks and after 36 weeks of gestation), including at least one visit accompanied by the husband or a family member. The first ANC visit is highly recommended to be conducted between 8 and 12 weeks of gestation. The objective of this study is to identify the factors that influence the K4 coverage of antenatal visits among pregnant women at Bontomarannu Public Health Center, Galesong Selatan Subdistrict, Takalar Regency. This research uses a cross-sectional study design. The sample consisted of 60 pregnant women who underwent K4 antenatal examinations at Bontomarannu Public Health Center, selected through random sampling. The results showed that knowledge significantly affected the K4 coverage of antenatal visits (p = 0.000), occupation also had a significant influence (p = 0.004), and distance was another significant factor (p = 0.005). It can be concluded that knowledge, occupation, and distance all influence the K4 coverage of antenatal visits at Bontomarannu Public Health Center, Galesong Selatan Subdistrict, Takalar Regency.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of application of learning innovative in elementary schools. This results is low student achievement, especially in science subjects. The purpose of this research is to describe the influence of the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) learning model on student learning outcomes in grade IV science subjects. The type of research used in this research is quasy experiment, or quasy experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. Based on on the results of research conducted, it shows that the results of the paired sample test (paired t-test) obtained a sig (2-tailed) value of 0,000 < 0,05 indicating that there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. So it can be concluded that by using the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) influences student learning outcomes in class IV science subjects at at Kendari 6 Public Elementary School.

Abstract

21st century education requires students to have higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in order to compete in the era of globalization. However, the implementation of HOTS in Elementary Schools (SD) still faces various challenges, especially in the use of appropriate learning methods. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to socialize the HOTS concept and its application in project-based learning to elementary school teachers. The methods used in this PKM include training, mentoring, and direct practice in compiling and implementing HOTS-based project-based learning. The results of the activity showed an increase in teachers' understanding of HOTS and its implementation in learning. In addition, students were also more active and creative in the learning process. This activity is expected to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools and support the development of 21st century skills for students.

Abstract

Literacy skills are a fundamental foundation in primary education, encompassing not only reading and writing abilities but also critical and creative thinking skills. However, field observations show that many elementary school students still have low literacy levels, particularly in understanding texts and expressing ideas both in writing and speaking. This community service activity aimed to strengthen Indonesian language literacy in elementary schools through innovative learning strategies that encourage critical and creative thinking. The target of this program was elementary school teachers across Baruga Subdistrict, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The implementation methods included training sessions, mentoring, and evaluations of teaching strategies based on narrative, explanatory, and descriptive texts, combined with critical reading and creative writing techniques. The results of the program showed a significant increase in teachers’ understanding of comprehensive literacy concepts and their ability to design and apply learning models based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). In addition, teachers were able to develop project-based learning activities and visual literacy strategies that enabled students to think logically, reflectively, and creatively. This program is expected to contribute significantly to improving the quality of Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level and to serve as a replicable model for other schools seeking to strengthen 21st-century literacy skills.
