Abstract

Children are the age group that needs guidance and teaching from adults. Furthermore, the growth and development of children must be protected from aspects of violence, especially "child predators", because children are a nation's asset towards progress and prosperity. This study aims to analyze the strategy for protecting violence against children through the Aisyiyah Cinta Anak (GACA) movement in Makassar City. This research is a qualitative research that aims to produce more powerful and in-depth data that can be obtained at the research location (field). This research was conducted in Mamajang District, Makassar. The results of the research are expected to find formulations of strategic concepts that can be implemented by Aisyiyah in protecting children from violence. The government provides the widest possible opportunity for the community to play a role in realizing child protection. The government continues to encourage the formation of community-based Integrated Child Protection in all regions, including Makassar City.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the level of learning outcomes in writing explanatory text summaries with a scientific process skills approach through video media, (2) the level of learning outcomes in writing explanatory text summaries with conventional methods, and (3) the effectiveness of the scientific process skills approach through video media in improving students' learning outcomes in writing explanatory text summaries. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The study population was all fifth grade students of SDN Taeng, Gowa Regency in the 2020/2021 academic year, totaling 56 students. The study sample consisted of an experimental class and a control class that were randomly selected after going through a homogeneity test of initial ability to write explanatory text summaries. The results of the study showed that: (1) the level of learning outcomes in writing summaries of explanatory texts of students with the scientific process skills approach through video media was in the medium category with an average value of 66.96, (2) the level of learning outcomes in writing summaries of explanatory texts of students with the conventional method was in the low category with an average value of 59.68, and (3) the scientific process skills approach through video media was effective in improving learning outcomes in writing summaries of explanatory texts of students, with the results of statistical tests showing that the t-count value (13.336) was greater than the t-table value (2.048) at a significance level of 0.05.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve students’ speaking literacy through the application of differentiated instruction in SD Unismuh Makassar. The background of the problem stems from the students’ low speaking participation and limited vocabulary in expressing their thoughts verbally. The objective of the research is to enhance students’ ability to speak coherently and confidently in learning activities. The study was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle including planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were fourth-grade students, and the data collection techniques included observation, field notes, and speaking performance assessments. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ speaking skills in terms of fluency, clarity, and confidence. The differentiated learning model, which accommodated students’ needs, readiness, and interests, effectively created an inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere. It also supported teachers in designing more adaptive strategies. Based on the findings, differentiated instruction is recommended as an effective alternative method to foster speaking literacy in elementary school settings.

Abstract

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu Bagaimana Pengaruh Gerakan Literasi Sekolah Dalam Bentuk Pojok Baca Terhadap Minat Membaca Siswa di Sekolah Dasar Kelas VI SD Negeri Romang Rappoa Kabupaten Gowa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi Pengaruh Gerakan Literasi sekolah Dalam Bentuk Pojok Baca Terhadap Minat Membaca Siswa di Sekolah Dasar Kelas VI SD Negeri Romang Rappoa Kabupaten Gowa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex post facto dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI SD Negeri Romang Rappoa Kabupaten Gowa dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 35 orang yang terdiri dari 20 orang laki-laki dan 15 orang perempuan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif antara variabel pojok baca dan variabel minat baca. Program gerakan lietrasi sekolah terutama pojok baca terbukti memberikan manfaat positif. Melalui peningkatan kualitas pojok baca dikelas tentunya akan mempengaruhi minat membaca siswa.

Abstract

Masalah utama melalui metode reading aloud pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas III SD Negeri Romang Rappoa. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling dengan mengambil 9 sampel yang sesuai dengan topik penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum menggunakan reading aloud banyak siswa yang masih terbata-bata saat membaca. Namun setelah beberapa kali latihan mereka mampu dan mulai dapat memahami makna bacaan dengan lebih baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan literasi melalui metode ini membantu menggambarkan kemampuan literasi siswa melalui kegiatan membaca nyaring karena penerapan metode reading aloud menunjukkan hasil yang positif.

Abstract

Background: In the digital era, social media has become a dominant force shaping how students communicate, express religious identity, and experience mental well-being. Purpose: This study investigates the influence of social media on three interrelated dimensions—religious behavior, social interaction, and mental health—among students in Islamic education. Method: Employing a quantitative correlational method, data were collected from 96 students at MTs Muhammadiyah Panaikang, South Sulawesi, using structured Likert-scale questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted through Pearson correlation tests and descriptive statistics. Result: The findings show a moderate positive correlation (r = 0.48, p < 0.05) between social media use and religious behavior, indicating that online Islamic content may reinforce students’ spiritual practices. A strong positive correlation (r = 0.62, p < 0.01) was also found between social media and social interaction, highlighting its role in strengthening peer communication and digital community building. Conversely, a moderate negative correlation (r = –0.55, p < 0.01) emerged between social media and mental health, suggesting that excessive use contributes to stress, anxiety, and emotional fatigue. These findings underscore the dual role of social media as both an enabler of digital religiosity and a source of psychological strain. Conclusion: The study concludes that while social media offers educational and spiritual benefits, its overuse necessitates the integration of digital literacy and ethical guidance grounded in Islamic values. Educators are encouraged to embed Islamic digital ethics and mental health awareness into the curriculum to promote balanced online engagement. Future research should explore long-term behavioral patterns and develop integrative digital ethics frameworks suited to Islamic educational settings.

Abstract

Sastra sebagai bentuk ekspresi manusia tidak hanya menghadirkan estetika dan kenikmatan batin, tetapi juga memuat refleksi sosial yang kritis, salah satunya terhadap budaya patriarki yang mengakar kuat dalam masyarakat. Film Tuhan Izinkan Aku Berdosa merupakan contoh representasi wacana patriarki yang kompleks, yang menarik dikaji untuk mengungkap relasi kuasa dan ketimpangan gender dalam narasi serta kontribusinya terhadap pemahaman sastra kontemporer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk budaya patriarki yang direpresentasikan melalui narasi dan dialog dalam film Tuhan Izinkan Aku Berdosa. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis isi. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa potongan dialog, adegan, dan narasi film dianalisis menggunakan teori patriarki dari Sylvia Walby dan Simone de Beauvoir. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa Film Tuhan Izinkan Aku Berdosa Karya Hanung Bramantyo yang berdurasi 1 jam 53 menit yang ditayangkan di Bioskop pada tanggal 22 Mei 2024. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode simak. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan tiga tahapan yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya patriarki dalam film ini tampil dalam dua bentuk utama: patriarki privat dan patriarki publik. Patriarki privat tercermin dalam dominasi laki-laki dalam ranah domestik, terutama melalui relasi kuasa dalam keluarga dan hubungan personal. Adapun patriarki publik ditampilkan dalam ruang-ruang sosial seperti institusi pendidikan, agama, dan politik, perempuan mengalami subordinasi dan marginalisasi secara sistematis. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pemanfaatan film sebagai media literasi kritis dalam pembelajaran sastra di sekolah, sekaligus sebagai alat refleksi sosial untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap ketimpangan gender yang masih berlangsung dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of education has opened new opportunities in literary learning, particularly in the processes of poetry creation and analysis. This study aims to examine literary criticism of AI-generated poems produced by students of SMP Unismuh Makassar in order to understand the relationship between human creativity and technology. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with modern literary criticism and semiotic approaches. The data, consisting of AI-generated poems and students’ poems, are analyzed based on linguistic, aesthetic, and moral aspects. The results indicate that AI-generated poems tend to have more orderly linguistic structures but are emotionally flatter, whereas students’ poems are more expressive and contextual. The analysis shows that literary criticism approaches are able to distinguish the depth of meaning and human values between digital works and human-created works. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating AI as a reflective and creative medium in literature learning at the secondary school level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the increase in students' interest in learning Indonesian through the use of audio-visual media in grade III at Muhammadiyah 10 Tallo Elementary School, Makassar City. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 23 grade III students of Muhammadiyah 10 Tallo Elementary School. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and student learning interest questionnaires compiled based on indicators of students' feelings of pleasure, involvement, interest, and attention. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. Based on the results of the research and discussion that have been presented in the previous section, it is concluded that the use of audio-visual media can increase the interest in learning grade III students in learning Indonesian at Muhammadiyah 10 Tallo Elementary School. This result is shown by the results of the research on the percentage of student learning interest classically in Cycle I reaching 73.9% with a sufficient/good category, but does not meet the criteria for success. The results of the reflection on Cycle I, carried out in Cycle II, included increasing teacher supervision during learning, including a question and answer session after the video screening to increase student focus, and replacing animated videos with more attractive displays with less text to suit the characteristics of third-grade students. As a result, the results of the student learning interest questionnaire increased to 82.6%, with a good category and having achieved a completeness score. Thus, the application of audio-visual media in Indonesian language learning can increase the learning interest of third-grade students, marked by an increase in aspects of feelings of pleasure, interest, attention, and student involvement in the learning process.

Abstract

Meaningful learning is an important approach to improving the quality of student learning, particularly in developing creativity, a requirement of 21st-century learning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of meaningful learning innovations in enhancing the creativity of junior high school students at Unismuh Makassar. The study used a classroom action research (CAR) method implemented in two cycles. The subjects were 30 eighth-grade students. Data were obtained through observation, creativity tests, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively using qualitative and quantitative methods. The results showed a significant increase in creativity indicators, including originality, fluency, flexibility, and elaboration. In the first cycle, the average student creativity was in the moderate category, while in the second cycle, it increased to the high category. Thus, meaningful learning innovations have been proven to create an active, contextual learning atmosphere and encourage students to be more innovative. The conclusion of this study confirms that meaningful learning is an effective strategy for enhancing junior high school students' creativity and can serve as a practical reference for teachers in developing innovative learning in the classroom.
