Abstract

The population in the category of children with health complaints in the last month aged 0-4 years is 33.77%, aged 5-9 years is 30.85%, and aged 10-14 years is 25.48% based on BPS data in 2022. (1) Students with unhealthy behavior or chronic conditions may be absent from school more often, reducing their time to study. Improving eating patterns and physical activity is very important, especially for students who have an increased risk of chronic diseases due to their race, ethnicity, or family income level (2) In connection with the high risk of these health problems in students' lives, activities are needed to educate elementary school students to get used to a healthy lifestyle in the school environment as early as possible. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge of the 3 S (Healthy Nutritious, Healthy Physically and Healthy Immunization) so that participants can understand and are motivated to carry it out as part of the Healthy School Movement. The method used is a nutritious food campaign such as breakfast and healthy snacks, introducing students to various types of traditional games in order to increase physical activity, and educating the importance of complete immunization in elementary school children. Community service will be carried out by 5 lecturers and 5 students with a target of 40 students. Based on the Wilcoxon T-Test on Pre-test and Post-Test respondents, the results of data testing show a p value = 0.001, it can be concluded statistically that there is a significant difference in knowledge between knowledge before and after the intervention. The output of this community service will be in the form of publications in National journals with ISSN, publications in print media, video documents of activities and cooperation documents in the form of memorandums of agreement (MoA) / cooperation agreements with partners.

Abstract

Abstract Background: December 2019 a new virus Covid-19 was identified in the city of Wuhan. The Covid-19 Pandemic situation occurred for 2 years, showing improvements every day and also the vaccine target increasing and decreasing the level of PPKM, the Indonesian government implemented the Adaptation of New Habits (AKB) policies that had an impact on students on students' emotional stability and caused pressures on students. during learning so that academic stress arises which affects the learning process Methods: This type of research is quantitative (observational analytic) used a cross-sectional design with total sampling method. The number of samples used was 33 respondents. The study was conducted from January 28, 2022 to February 7, 2022. The data was collected using a questionnaire of emotional stability and academic stress. Results: The results of statistical tests used Correlation Gamma with p-value 0,001 < (0,05) obtained the results of a relationship between Emotional Stability and Academic Stress Levels in Nurse Profession Students at Jambi University During the New Normal. Conclusion: Based on the research, it shows that 55% are emotionally stable and 45% are emotionally unstable, with the dominant respondents being 58% of severe academic stress, 24% moderate, 15% very severe, 3% mild. This research can be considered to anticipate student academic stress, especially in self-management to reduce academic stress levels among students. Situasi Pandemi Covid-19 terjadi selama 2 tahun, menunjukan perbaikan setiap harinya dan juga target vaksin meningkatan dan penurunan level PPKM, Pemerintah indonesia memberlakukan Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru (AKB) kebijakan yang berlakukan berdampak pada mahasiswa terhadap kestabilan emosi mahasiswa dan menyebabkan timbulnya tekanan-tekanan pada saat pembelajaran sehingga munculah stres akademik yang mempengaruhi proses pembelajaran. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif (analitik observasional) menggunakan design cross-sectional dengan metode pengambilan sampel Total sampling. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan 33 responden. Penelitian dilakukan pada 28 Januari 2022 hingga 7 Februari 2022. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner kestabilan emosi dan stres akademik. Hasil:. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan Correlation Gamma dengan p-value 0,001 < α (0,05) diperoleh hasil adanya hubungan Kestabilan Emosi Dengan Tingkat Stres Akademik Pada Mahasiswa Profesi Ners Universitas Jambi Di masa Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru (AKB). Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan penelitian menunjukan 55% emosi stabil dan 45% emosi tidak stabil dengan dominan responden 58% stres akademik tingkat berat, 24% sedang, 15% sangat berat, 3% ringan. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi pertimbangan untuk mengantisipasi stres akademik mahasiswa, khususnya dalam penatalaksanaan mandiri untuk menurunkan tingkatan stres akademik dikalangan mahasiswa. Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Kemenkes RI mencatat umur kejadian menarche di Indonesia rata-rata terjadi pada umur 12 tahun 4 bulan dengan prevalensi 60%, usia 13 tahun 30%, dan sisanya di atas 13 tahun. Remaja putri perlu mendapatkan dukungan keluarga agar memiliki kesiapan yang baik saat menghadapi menarche. Informasi yang kurang tentang perawatan dapat menyebabkan infeksi saluran reproduksi yang dapat menimbulkan kemandulan. Tujuan: Diketahui hubungan dukungan keluarga terhadap kesiapan remaja putri menghadapi haid pertama (menarche). Metode: Studi literatur ini berupa literatur review, pencarian artikel menggunakan elektronik based seperti Google Scholar, Garuda, Semantic Scholar dan Researchgate. Kata kunci dalam bahasa Indonesia “dukungan orang tua dan remaja putri” dan dalam bahasa Inggris “role of parents dan menarche”. Dilakukan hal tersebut untuk mendapatkan artikel yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi lalu dilakukan review artikel, kemudian didapatkan 10 artikel dari hasil screening. Hasil: Hasil analisis dari 10 artikel, didapatkan 9 artikel menunjukkan bahwa keluarga mendukung remaja putri menghadapi menarche dan 1 artikel menunjukkan kurangnya dukungan keluarga. Simpulan: Dari 10 artikel didapatkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan keluarga terhadap kesiapan remaja putri menghadapi menarche. Kata Kunci: Dukungan Orang tua, Menarche, Remaja Putri, Role of Parents ABSTRACT Background: The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia noted that the incidence of menarche in Indonesia occurred on average at the age of 12 years 4 months with a prevalence of 60%, age 13 years 30%, and the remaining age above 13 years . Young women need to get family support in order to have good readiness when facing menarche. Insufficient information about treatment can lead to reproductive tract infections that lead to infertility. Objective: Relationship of family support to young women's readiness to face the first menstruation (menarche). Methods: This literature study is in the form of literature reviews, electronic search articles such as Google Scholar, Garuda, Semantic Scholar and Researchgate. The keywords in Indonesian are “support for parents and young women” and in English “role of parents and menarche”. Doing this to get articles that match the inclusion criteria and then review the articles. Obtained 10 articles from the screening results. Results: The results of the analysis of 10 articles, 9 articles obtained indicate that families support young women facing menarche and 1 article shows a lack of family support. Conclusion: From 10 articles, it was found that there is a significant relationship between family support and young women's readiness to face menarche. Abstract

Relapse is an important problem that often recurs in patients with mental disorders. What often happens when the patient has returned to the family and community environment. The family as the closest person to the client is the main support system in providing direct services when the client is at home. Therefore the family has an important role in efforts to prevent recurrence of disease in mental clients. Seeing the phenomenon above, the purpose of this activity is so that families have an understanding of how to care for family members who experience mental disorders in the psychiatric clinic of the mental hospital in Jambi province. One of the efforts made is for nurses to carry out counseling to provide health education by gathering family members of patients who are waiting in the psychiatric poly clinic room. The counseling activity was attended by 28 participants, and during the activity the participants seemed enthusiastic in participating in the activity by asking questions related to the material provided. It is hoped that with the information provided, the role of the family in the prevention and treatment of recurrence in patients with mental disorders can be even better

Abstract

Hypertension is a significant global public health concern that often remains asymptomatic in its early stages, emphasizing the need for proactive prevention and management strategies. This community service program, Together Against Hypertension, was conducted in Jambi City in collaboration with the Nursing Student Association of Universitas Jambi, aiming to enhance public awareness of hypertension and identify individuals at risk through targeted blood pressure screenings. The program employed a two-pronged approach: (1) educational sessions focused on the etiology, risk factors, complications, and prevention of hypertension, with an emphasis on lifestyle modifications; and (2) blood pressure screenings to detect undiagnosed hypertension or prehypertension cases within the community. Participants included diverse demographic groups, with nursing students acting as facilitators under professional supervision. The findings revealed that 35% of participants exhibited elevated blood pressure, with 20% previously unaware of their hypertensive status. Educational activities significantly improved participants' understanding of hypertension and its management, fostering greater adherence to regular monitoring and healthy behaviors. This initiative underscores the importance of community-based interventions in addressing hypertension and provides a scalable model for similar programs aimed at improving population health outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract SENSE Program: Assistance in Improving Social Emotional Skills through Theater Based Intervention aims to improve the social and emotional skills of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This service was carried out at SLB Harapan Mulia Jambi involving 22 autistic children, using the Theater Based Intervention method which involves theater activities and educational games such as freeze dance, paper sensory, Simon says, and emoticon block. The program was implemented with a pre-experimental approach, using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design to evaluate changes in social and emotional skills before and after the intervention. Results showed a significant improvement in children's social and emotional skills after participation in the activities. Statistical test results with a significance value (p = 0.000 < 0.05) confirmed that the theater intervention was effective in improving communication skills, emotion control, and social interaction of children with ASD. Thus, Theater Based Intervention proved to be an efficient approach for the social-emotional development of children with autism. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di SLB Harapan Mulia Jambi dengan melibatkan 22 anak autis, menggunakan metode Theater Based Intervention yang melibatkan aktivitas teater dan permainan edukatif seperti freeze dance, paper sensory, Simon says, dan emoticon block. Program ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan pre-eksperimental, menggunakan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest untuk mengevaluasi perubahan keterampilan sosial dan emosional sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan sosial dan emosional anak setelah partisipasi dalam kegiatan. Hasil uji statistik dengan nilai signifikansi (p = 0,000 < 0,05) menegaskan bahwa intervensi teater efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi, kontrol emosi, dan interaksi sosial anak-anak dengan ASD. Dengan demikian, Theater Based Intervention terbukti menjadi pendekatan yang efisien untuk pengembangan sosial-emosional anak-anak autisme. Abstract

The underlying issue of this research is the high prevalence of bullying among adolescents, which adversely affects their mental health, social well-being, and academic development. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Upright Project as a preventive measure against bullying in school-aged adolescents. A quantitative approach was employed with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a quasi-experimental pre-posttest with control group, to measure changes in bullying behavior and student resilience levels before and after program implementation. The sample consisted of 113 students aged 12 to 18, identified as a vulnerable group to bullying experiences. Bullying victimization levels were assessed using a questionnaire, and data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate techniques with Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests. The findings revealed that the implementation of the Upright Project significantly reduced reported cases of bullying. Additionally, there was an improvement in students' resilience in coping with adversity. Posttest analysis indicated significant differences between the intervention and control groups, with the intervention group demonstrating the program's effectiveness. This study concludes that the Upright Project is an effective intervention for reducing bullying behavior and enhancing student resilience. These findings highlight the importance of implementing similar intervention-based programs to create safer school environments that support adolescent development.

Abstract

Background: Temper tantrum is an extreme emotional outburst with crying, shouting, hitting and other maladaptive activities. Temper tantrums if allowed to continue will experience disturbances in their emotional development. One of the factors that can influence is parenting. Objective: To find out the relationship between parenting patterns and the incidence of temper tantrums. Methods: This research is a quantitative descriptive study on 78 respondents using the Consecutive Sampling method with a cross-sectional approach. Primary data comes from the results of the questionnaire, the data analysis used is univariate and bivariate with a tau kendal test with a p-value of 0.05. Results: There is a relationship between parenting and the incidence of temper tantrums (p-value 0.024 r 0.179) which is low and positive, there is no relationship between authoritarian parenting (p-value 0.654 r 0.038), there is no relationship between permissive parenting (p- value = 0.313 r 0.087), there is no democratic relationship (p-value 0.313 r 0.123) and there is no relationship with indifferent parenting (p-value 0.191 r 0.119). Conclusion: Based on statistical analysis, it was found that there is a relationship between parenting patterns and the incidence of temper tantrums, therefore it is necessary to hold educational counseling about good parenting.
