Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the differences between Brahman Cross Steer and Bull in terms of carcass production and by-products. The parameters of this study include slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass weight percentage, fat weight, and fat percentage. The results of the study show differences in slaughter weight, carcass weight, fat, and their percentages between BX Bull and BX Steer cattle, with the best meat quality found in the BX Bull cattle.

Abstract

Intrumen penilaian pembelajaran yang berkualitas merupakan alat ukur untuk mengetahui pencapaian hasil belajar siswa. Pelatihan penyusunan instrumen penilaian berbasis HOTS ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan para guru SD IT Taman Cahaya Siantar dalam menyusun instrumen penilaian berbasis HOTS. Kegiatan Pelatihan ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh para guru dikarenakan masih rendahnya kompetensi guru dalam mendesain instrument penilaian sesuai standar kurikulum. Melalui kegiatan ini para guru diberikan wawasan sekaligus kemampuan secara teknis dalam menyusun instrumen penilaian. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dibagi menjadi lima bagian, yaitu kegiatan pre-test, eksplorasi, elaborasi, konfirmasi dan post-test. Pada tahap pre-test para peserta mengerjakan soal yang berkaitan dengan penilaian berbasis HOTS, pada tahap eksplorasi narasumber melalukan brainstorming kepada peserta yang berkaitan dengan penilaian berbasis HOTS. Setelah melakukan brainstorming narasumber melakukan kegiatan elaborasi, yaitu penjelasan materi tentang penyusunan instrumen penilaian berbasis HOTS. Pada tahap konfirmasi, peserta pelatihan diarahkan untuk membentuk kelompok dan melakukan diskusi dalam menyusun instrumen penilaian berbasis HOTS. Tahap selanjutnya perwakilan kelompok mempresentasikan hasil diskusi di depan kelompok lainnya. Pada tahap post-test peserta mengerjakan soal yang berkaitan dengan materi pelatihan dengan hasil terdapat peningkatan nilai post-test dengan nilai peningkatan 59,52% dimana hasil rata-rata nilai post-test meningkat menjadi 74,60 dari nilai rata-rata pre-test 44,40 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil pelatihan ini secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan guru SD IT Taman Cahaya Siantar dalam mendesain instrumen penilaian berbasis HOTS

Abstract

Desa Klambir V, Deli Serdang, menghadapi tantangan tata ruang akibat pesatnya pertumbuhan penduduk dan penggunaan lahan yang kurang terencana. Minimnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam perencanaan ruang serta keterbatasan infrastruktur memperburuk pengelolaan sumber daya alam dan aksesibilitas layanan. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan memperbarui dokumen rencana tata ruang desa dengan mempertimbangkan zonasi pemukiman, ruang terbuka hijau, kawasan komersial, dan fasilitas umum, selaras dengan dinamika pertumbuhan penduduk dan kebutuhan ruang yang terus berkembang. Program ini juga mendorong peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dalam proses perencanaan tata ruang serta pemberdayaan ekonomi lokal melalui penguatan UMKM dan pengembangan sektor pariwisata berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi dan penyuluhan melalui diskusi kelompok, seminar, dan lokakarya partisipatif. Pelatihan UMKM dan pariwisata alam turut menjadi fokus guna menciptakan ekosistem ekonomi desa yang inklusif. Hasil kegiatan ini mencakup dokumen rencana tata ruang yang diperbarui secara partisipatif, peningkatan kesadaran dan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pembangunan desa, serta penguatan kapasitas pelaku UMKM dan potensi pariwisata sebagai penggerak ekonomi lokal. Abstract

This study aims to encourage the effect of adding pineapple (Ananas Comosus L. Mer) in the marinating process on the level of tenderness, organoleptic, physical quality and protein content of buffalo meat. The method used is an experiment with a completely randomized plan (CRD), consisting of four treatments, namely: PO (without pineapple), P1 (250 g pineapple), P2 (500 g pineapple) and P3 (750 g pineapple). The results showed that the addition of pineapple significantly affected the quality of buffalo meat. The color of the meat became brighter with increasing pineapple levels while the texture of buffalo meat became more tender due to the bromelain enzyme which breaks down collagen. Organoleptic parameters using the Kruskal Wallis Test showed a significant difference in the level of tenderness, color, texture, aroma and taste in each treatment, although excessive use of pineapple produced a dominant sour taste. The protein content of buffalo meat changed due to the proteolysis process influenced by the bromelain enzyme. This study indicates that marinating buffalo meat using pineapple can improve the quality of buffalo meat physically, organoleptically and nutritionally.

Abstract

TJudging from the results of this study on the comparison of the maintenance of starter phase layer chickens, Isa Brown and Hyline strains in a close house maintenance system, the aim is to determine the comparison of growth, the influence of the maintenance system and the analysis of calculations (PBB, Feed intake, Uniformity, Mortality) of starter phase layer chickens, Isa Brown and Hyline strains with a close house maintenance system. This study showed the highest PBB results in the sixth week of 13.86 g in the Isa Brown strain and 15.00 in the Hyline strain also in the same week and the highest feed intake in the sixth week with a value of 41 g in the Isa Brown strain and 43 g in the Hyline strain besides that in the analysis of the mortality rate showed the lowest figure in the fifth week of 0.10% in the Isa Brown strain and the sixth week in the Hyline strain of 0.14 with a uniformity level of ≥80% in both strains in each weekly analysis carried out so that the maintenance of starter phase layer chickens with a close house maintenance system provides comparative results on the growth of Isa Brown and Hyline strain layer chickens with fairly good values ​​and in accordance with the growth standards of each strain which is assessed by weekly analysis for six weeks with values, PBB, Mortality, Feed Intake, and Uniformity listed in Table.3 thus that the research conducted succeeded in providing good comparative results with slight differences that are still within the standards of each strain that has been marketed

Abstract

As a key source of animal protein in Indonesia with growing demand, this study examines the income levels of broiler chicken meat vendors at Tanjung Pura Market, Langkat Regency. Despite fluctuating prices and limited purchasing power among consumers, traditional markets continue to serve an essential function in meat distribution. The objective of this research is to assess the income of broiler chicken sellers by analyzing production costs, output, profits or losses, R/C ratio, and break-even point (BEP). Using a total sampling method, ten vendors at Tanjung Pura Market were chosen as the research subjects. A qualitative approach was applied through descriptive analysis.

Abstract

Telur puyuh merupakan sumber protein hewani yang tinggi kandungan kolesterolnya. Bawang putih (Allium sativum) mengandung senyawa bioaktif seperti allicin yang memiliki potensi menurunkan kolesterol dan meningkatkan aktivitas antioksidan. Mengetahui pengaruh lama perendaman telur puyuh dalam air bawang putih terhadap kadar kolesterol, protein, lemak, dan aktivitas antioksidan. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari P0 (kontrol tanpa perendaman), P1 (perendaman 1 jam), P2 (perendaman 2 jam), dan P3 (perendaman 3 jam) dalam air bawang putih. Perendaman dalam air bawang putih menunjukkan penurunan kadar kolesterol signifikan pada perlakuan P2 dan P3, peningkatan aktivitas antioksidan, serta mempertahankan kadar protein dengan penurunan kadar lemak yang tidak signifikan. Perendaman telur puyuh dalam air bawang putih selama 2-3 jam efektif menurunkan kolesterol dan meningkatkan aktivitas antioksidan tanpa mengurangi nilai protein secara signifikan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of several newcastle disease vaccines in layer chickens on antibody titers, leukocyte counts, and erythrocytes with the hope that administering newcastle disease vaccines to layer chickens will have a positive effect on antibody titers, leukocyte counts, and erythrocytes so that this study can help the public understand newcastle disease vaccination in layer chickens with various vaccines and their effectiveness. This study shows the results of a total of 20 blood samples of laying hens obtained a picture of the blood titer results from the four treatments showed a picture of antibody titers that were still protective, namely ≥4 HI Log2 with the highest value of 11.78 HI Log2, with leukocyte values that increased with the highest value of 32.81 103/µL so that it is able to provide better immune protection against the new castle disease virus, while the number of erythrocyte cells increased although it was still within the normal range so that it did not have a significant effect on increasing the immunity of laying hens, so in a simple sense vaccination with the newcastle disease vaccine is able to provide immune protection for laying hens with an increase in the number of leukocyte cells and does not affect the number of erythrocyte cells so that it is still within the normal range.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of adding maggot meal (Hermetia Illucens) as a supplementary feed ingredient on the growth performance of Kalasan male chickens during the finisher phase. A total of 100 chickens were used in this study with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications, namely P0 (conventional feed without maggot meal), P1 (feed + 5% maggot meal), P2 (feed + 10% maggot meal), and P3 (feed + 15% maggot meal). The observed parameters included feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion ratio (FCR). The results showed that feed consumption increased with the rising proportion of maggot meal, with the highest value recorded in P3 (1081.08 g/bird) and the lowest in P0 (894.04 g/bird). The highest body weight gain was also achieved in P3 (487.96 g/bird), while P0 had the lowest weight gain (410.02 g/bird). However, the best FCR values were obtained in P1 (2.09) and P2 (2.10), indicating more optimal feed efficiency at moderate maggot meal supplementation levels. Therefore, adding maggot meal at a 10% level (P2) is recommended as the most effective option, as it can increase body weight while maintaining balanced feed efficiency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk kandang menggunakan kotoran sapi, kotoran ayam dan kotoran kambing dengan tambahan 24 ml EM4 dan molase dengan dosis 1 liter air. Manfaat dari penelitian ini untuk memberikan informasi ilmu pengetahuan bagi pengembangan budidaya tanaman rumput odot kepada para peternak. Sebagai bahan informasi mebudidayakan tanaman rumput odot dengan pemberian 2kg + 24 ml EM4 dan 24 ml molases dengan dosis 1 liter air pada kotoran sapi pada P1, 3 kg kotoran ayam + 24 ml EM4 dan 24 ml molase dengan dosis 1 liter air pada kotoran ayam pada P2, dan 4 kg+ 24 ml EM4 dan 24 ml molase dengan dosis 1 liter air pada P3. Penelitian ini dilaksana kan di kabupaten deli serdang kecamatan sunggal selama 8 minggu pada tanggal 9 maret hingga 9 mei. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap ( RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan 5 ulangan. Pada Diameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, panjang daun, produktivitas segar dan bahan kering menunjukan hasil bahwa perlakuan memberikan berbeda nyata (P<0, 005).
