Abstract

Isu transisi energi menarik perhatian masyarakat global dengan upaya untuk konservasi energi di masa depan dan menjaga keberlangsungan ekosistem makhluk hidup. Transisi energi adalah proses konversi sumber energi berbasis fosil menjadi penggunaan energi bersih dan ramah lingkungan seperti panel surya, air, panas bumi, dan angin. Upaya Indonesia dalam upaya menjalankan transisi energi bersih, Solusi pemanfaatan dengan penerapan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro pada Turbin vorteks menjadi energi listrik dengan unit generator. Turbin vorteks memiliki kebutuhan head rendah. Konstruksi fisik turbin vorteks sudah tersedia di laboratorium, selanjutnya di susun perencanaan transmisi, roda gigi dan generator. Tujuan kegiatan ini menyusun perencanaan transmisi mekanik pada turbin vortex berupa roda gigi dan generator. Metodologi menggunakan pendekatan rancangan teknis baik mengacu standard perencanaan komponen elemen mesin maupun literasi jurnal yang telah dilakukan beberapa peneliti, hal tersebut diterapkan pada rancangan desain transmisi roda gigi dan generator. Hasil rancangan diperoleh daya rencana pembangkit sebesar 1500watt dengan putaran 250rpm, dari daya dan putaran tersebut, direncanakan transmisi roda gigi dan generator dengan hasil sebagai berikut: transmisi yang digunakan antara lain poros dimensi ⌀52 mm x 100 mm, kopling cakar tipe SX095. Roda gigi payung BG 134 S R2 Scheme 30 dengan rasio putaran 1:2. Puli yang terhubung dengan roda gigi dengan kode A127 dan puli yang tehubung dengan generator dengan kode A63,5. Puli di sambung dengan sabuk tipe V kode A44.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Almost all households in Indonesia use a refrigerator as a place to store food that is more durable. But behind these needs, refrigerators are identified as one of the household appliances that use high electrical energy. Therefore, this study aims to examine the use of Tube in Tube Heat Exchanger (TiTHX) with refrigerant R290 in the refrigerator system to reduce household electricity consumption. This research was conducted experimentally by varying the 3 diameter ratios on TiTHX. The results showed that the use of TiTHX with the most optimum value was obtained at the variation diameter ¼ : ½ increasing refrigerator performance by 3.7%. and also reduce the consumption of electricity costs up to Rp. 17,544.44 per month. This is because the difference between the evaporation pressure and condensation pressure is smaller in systems using TiTHX which then results in lower compression work.

Abstract

Clean water is a primary necessity for human survival, but due to limited access to clean water sources, wells are often used to meet this need. However, water from wells cannot be used directly because its quality varies depending on the soil conditions. Due to these differences, a filtration system needs to be installed in the treatment of raw water from the well. In the process, well water, after being processed through the filtration system, experiences a decrease in flow rate before being stored in water tanks. This creates a problem, namely excessive electricity consumption and insufficient water flow for household use. In this research, the researcher attempts to implement the SNI (Indonesian National Standard) standards in household-scale clean water treatment, whereas previous research focused more on water quality testing. The objectives of this research are to reduce electricity consumption and increase water flow to meet household needs. Regarding the research method, the researcher conducted a literature review, data collection, pre-improvement testing, redesigned pipeline planning, performance testing of the improvement results, and analysis of the outcomes. The results of this research show that for the 1-liter container testing, the required time has increased, with the fastest time being 6.4 seconds and the slowest being 6.7 seconds, compared to the initial testing, which had a range of 13.2 seconds to 13.6 seconds. As for electricity consumption, there has been a significant decrease, from 2.76 A in the initial testing to 1.76 A, resulting in an average power consumption of 200.3 watt, compared to the previous 603.7 watt.

Abstract

Increased interest in the use of vortex turbines as a renewable energy source. more advantages compared to axial turbines in general. The aim of this applied research is expected to be able to increase the power and efficiency of vortex turbines, achieving the target efficiency output of >30% from the previous research output of 37% on the performance of single and two-stage turbines with an angle of 630. The research method is experimental based, the study being carried out at this time with variations in discharge and runner type 630 one stage and Savonius with exhaust channels cut off by 2cm, this was done to determine the response to increasing the efficiency of the vortex turbine. Experimental operational approach with SNI 8277:2016, discharge variation 11-13 l/s. The results of the experimental recording of the application of the runner 630 on one level, obtained that the highest efficiency was a flow rate of 11 l/s with an efficiency of 29%. The treatment of cutting the drain channel had an impact on reducing efficiency.

Abstract

Dalam suatu industri, bagian maintenance memegang peranan yang sangat penting untuk menjamin kelancaran proses produksi. Metode pemeliharaan mesin dengan preventive maintenance merupakan suatu strategi yang dapat dipertimbangkan dalam memperbaiki kinerja mesin yang ada. Hal tersebut dikarenakan perawatan yang benar dan teratur dapat meningkatkan kinerja mesin dan mengurangi tingkat kerusakan mesin yang nantinya akan berpengaruh terhadap kontinuitas kegiatan produksi. Pada die casting division PT Astra Honda Motor pada mesin die casting sering terjadi permasalahan Plunger Tip macet, permasalahan komponen ini menjadi beban downtime mesin yang sering terjadi pada saat produksi berlangsung. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu metode yang tepat yang mampu menggambarkan kondisi perawatan di perusahaan tersebut. Hal ini dilakukan dengan melakukan analisis perhitungan lifetime. Data yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah Autonomus Maintenance, lifetime Plunger Tip,dan data setting standar mesin. Tahap pertama yang dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang ada yaitu melihat standar setting mesin, pengisian Autonomus Maintenance dan data pergantian Plunger Tip. Hal tersebut penting dilakukannya analisis karena sangat berpengaruh pada produksi mesin Die Casting.

Abstract

Compressed Natural Gas atau CNG merupakan gas alam yang dikompresi menjadi tekanan tinggi hingga 250 bar, tekanan pengisian tergantung dari kemampuan mesin kompresi dan kemampuan tabung penampung. Gas alam digunakan sebagai bahan bakar alternatif yang digunakan untuk mengkonversi penggunaan gas LPG dan bahan bakar minyak lainnya yang ketersediaannya saat ini sudah mulai berkurang akibat konsumsi yang sangat besar dan harga yang lebih mahal. Untuk mengalirkan gas alam dari tabung penyimpan ke pelanggan diperlukan alat penurun tekanan yang itu PRS. Pressure Reduction System (PRS) adalah alat yang digunakan untuk menyalurkan gas alam bertekanan tinggi maksimum 250 bar menjadi tekanan yang diperlukan oleh pelanggan atau setara dengan tekanan gas LPG 12 dan 15 kg dengan jalan memanaskan gas selanjutnya menurunkan atau mereduksi tekanan sesuai dengan tekanan yang diperlukan. Dalam pembuatan diperlukan perhitungan empiris dan teori terhadap laju aliran massa, besar panas yang diperlukan, media yang digunakan, jenis material, teknik pembuatan dan biaya.

Abstract

Implementasi program ISED mendukung pasar kerja inklusif dan berkelanjutan, mempromosikan lapangan kerja hijau sektor energi terbarukan. Pelatihan perencanaan PLTMH Program ISED, penyelenggara kegiatan Bappenas, GIZ dan PT. Entec Indonesia pada 19-23 Desember 2022 di laboratorium hidro HYCOM BBPVMPV BMTI. Hari kedua dilakukan pengujian performa simulator turbin untuk mengetahui daya dan efisiensi. Metode pengujian performa diterapkan pada simulator turbin crossflow offgrid. Penyimpangan disebabkan kurangnya volume air pada kolam. Saran untuk penyelenggara agar dapat memperhatikan kesiapan alat, sehingga hasil yang diperoleh dapat mendekati literatur.

Abstract

This study discusses the impact of variations in the seam angle of welded joints and welding parameters on the tensile strength and hardness testing of ST 37 carbon steel. The SMAW welding process is one of the metal connection techniques used in industry. The method of welding joints is carried out with variations in the seam angle of the welded joints 600 and 700, while variations in the current strength of the welded joints are 90A, 100A, and 110A. The experimental method used in this research is the steel base metal material ST 37, which has a thickness of 8 mm. The tensile strength test results have the highest value at the seam angle of 700 with a current strength of 110 A, namely 482.54 N/mm2. The lowest tensile strength test results were obtained with a tensile strength of 399.54 N/mm2 at a welded angle of 700 and a current strength of 90 A. The test specimen with a variation of the existing power of 110 A and a weld seam angle of 700 has the highest value in the hardness test with a 234 HV hardness.

Abstract

Vibration testing in the field of mechanical engineering has an important role in planning and maintaining machines to determine whether the design is safe and suitable for application. Newton's second law is a reference for back-and-forth movement around equilibrium both within the system and from outside the system which affects the machine itself, if the frequency of stimulation is equal to one of the system's natural frequencies, then resonance occurs, and dangerously large oscillations, resonance can cause damage to the system. The solution to avoid excessive resonance requires a damper. Forced vibration oscillations are applied by excitation using an unbalanced mass installed on a DC motor unit, the response is a mass deviation to obtain oscillations or time relationships with amplitude, the natural frequency of the system, mass-spring deviation, and characteristics of vibration. This activity aims to analyze the effect of the vibration amplitude of a forced vibration simulator under conditions without damping and using damping. The experimental test method was applied to a forced vibration system with one degree of freedom with an oil and air damper in a simple vibration apparatus simulator, 2 types of unbalanced masses, regulated by rotation up to 500rpm, tested under conditions without a damper, using an oil and air damper. The results of the activity showed that the air-dampening media can limit greater amplitude compared to the oil-dampening media.

Abstract

The CSR program is a sustainable commitment ethically, legally, and contributes to improving the quality of life for workers/families, local communities, and society as a whole, such as waste processing, infrastructure development, MSME development, and others. Geo Dipa Energi operates in the field of managing and utilizing geothermal energy for electricity generation. Management is in the Ciwidey area covering 3 villages. The program aims to provide skills, support independence, and open up opportunities to apply for jobs with a skills certificate in the automotive sector. Polban with Public Service Agency status can provide services to the community in the form of providing goods/services in carrying out its activities based on the principles of efficiency and productivity. The method of implementing community service is through financing the Geo Dipa Energi CSR program in collaboration with Polban and LSP TOP. The carburetor motorbike service cluster training and certification includes 22 competency items, 3 batches are implemented, the number of participants is 30, details for each batch consist of 8 days of training, 1 day of simulation, satisfaction survey, registration, online assessment, and 1 day of practical assessment. As a result of the assessment, all participants obtained the title of competent.
