Abstract

Development inequality is an important issue that affects the society and economic stability of a region. This study aims to analyze regional development inequality in the districts/cities of Central Sulawesi Province during the 2018-2022 period. The analysis used is quantitative descriptive analysis using secondary data and the Williamson Index analysis method as a measuring tool to assess the level of inequality between regions. The data analyzed included Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in each district/city of Central Sulawesi Province. The results showed that the Williamson index calculation of the level of regional development inequality in Central Sulawesi Province was 0,97, which indicated a high level of inequality. However, in 2022 there was a decrease in the Williamson Index to 0,46. Nevertheless, the level of inequality between districts/municipalities in Central Sulawesi Province is still categorized as high. This decrease in the Williamson Index indicates an improvement in the distribution of development, but more intensive efforts are still needed to achieve a more effective development balance from the local and central government to reduce development inequality.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises, abbreviated as SMEs, play an important role in enhancing the economic growth of a country. They function to increase local income by meeting the community's needs for products and providing job opportunities. Sini sa Clean is one of the SMEs operating in the cleaning services sector in the city of Palu. Sini sa Clean offers room cleaning services, mattress cleaning, and sofa cleaning. This research aims to analyze the income and business feasibility of Sini sa Clean. The data analysis method used is the income analysis formula consisting of Total Cost (TC), Total Revenue (TR), and Profit (π). Meanwhile, to calculate business feasibility, the Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C Ratio) formula is used. Based on the research results, the average revenue for Sini sa Clean's cleaning service business is Rp. 2,521,000 per month, with total production costs amounting to Rp. 1,548,000 per month. These production costs consist of fixed and variable costs. From the data analysis results, the income generated by Sini sa Clean's business is Rp. 973,000 per month. Based on the business feasibility calculation (R/C Ratio), a value of 1.62 is obtained, which means 1.62 > 1. This indicates that for every Rp. 1 spent, there is a return of Rp. 1.62, making the revenue greater than the capital invested. Therefore, the cleaning service business of Sini sa Clean can be considered profitable, feasible to continue, and worth expanding.

Abstract

Various poverty reduction programs, especially in Central Sulawesi, have been implemented by the government, including in the socio-economic, health and education sectors. Mapping the poverty reduction program plan is needed to increase the effectiveness of each program implemented. The poverty reduction programs launched by the government have not been able to significantly reduce the poverty rate. In order to reduce poverty, it is necessary to take strategic, comprehensive and sustainable steps that can have an impact on reducing poverty. The purpose of this study is to see how the role of Bappeda in formulating planning and budgeting to reduce poverty in Central Sulawesi. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that bappeda as a facilitator and the process of formulating planning and budgeting has carried out its duties as regulated by law. The Central Sulawesi BAPPEDA in formulating poverty reduction planning compiles the Annual Regional Development Plan in the form of the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) through the implementation of absorption and aspiration gathering in the form of a Development Planning Consultation (Musrenbang) forum. The results of the Musrenbang contain a budget framework for activity plans that need to be funded by funding sources, be it the Regency APBD, Provincial APBD, APBN or other sources of funds. After the musrenbang, the RKPD is determined, which is then contained in the PERDA.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of farmer groups in increasing the income of tomato farmers before and after joining such groups. The research was conducted using a descriptive research method in Padende Village, Marawola District. The findings indicate that the involvement of MBKM students as village facilitators has positively impacted tomato farmers by providing targeted training. This training enabled the farmers to maximize production and sell their tomatoes directly in the primary market. The role of farmer groups in improving income is considered significant, as the tomato farmers in Padende Village are part of a combined farmer group. This group receives support from the village government, particularly in seed assistance. As a result, tomato farmers' income increased notably, reaching IDR 3,500,000 in 2023 from managing 1 hectare of land.
