Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Apakah ada Peningkatan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa Melalui Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Numbered Head Together (NHT). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitia Quasi Eksperimen Design. Desain yang digunakan adalah Postest Only Control Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan rata – rata menggunakan uji t lebih baik di kelas eksperimen. Sehingga dapat di simpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep antara siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Number Heads Together (NHT) dengan siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan metode konvensional.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang di ajar dengan model kooperatif tipe STAD. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), dengan empat tahapan yang harus dilalui, yaitu: (1) Perencanaan; (2) Pelaksanaan; (3) Pengamatan; (4) Refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada SMP Negeri 3 Tanjung Beringin pada kelas VIII-2 dengan jumlah yang terdiri dari 30 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pnerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa pada materi pokok bangun segiempat setelah siklus II.

Abstract

Masih kurangnya kreatifitas guru dalam menggunakan alat peraga yang menunjang perkembangan motorik siswa khususnya dalam mempelajari mengenal bilangan matematika sehingga dapat menimbulkan rasa kebosanan pada siswa.Tujuan dari pelaksanan pengabdian masyarakat yaitu cara menggunakan alat permainan edukatif (APE) dalam pembelajaran matematika dan melihat kemampuan motorik siswa dalam menggunakan alat permainan tradisional. Metode Pelaksanaan dengan presentasi dan simulasi yang dilakukan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa Program Studi Matematika FKIP Universitas Al Washliyah Medan. Alat permainan edukatif yang sengaja dirancang khususnya untuk menunjang terselenggaranya pembelajaran anak secara efektif dan menyenangkan, serta sebagai sarana yang dapat merangsang aktivitas anak untuk mempelajari sesuatu tanpa anak menyadarinya dan yang dirancang secara multiguna sehingga anak dapat melatih berbagai motorik halus, mengenal konsep warna, bentuk dan ukuran.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is a culture-based learning concept in the context of mathematics. The presence of mathematics with cultural nuances will make a major contribution to learning mathematics. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe mathematical objects and concepts found in Malay culture at the Kamu market. This type of research is qualitative research with ethnographic methods. Data analysis techniques used are literacy studies, observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the culture at Kamu market has various ethnomathematics concepts found in traditional cakes from various regions such as Katimus cakes, Gadong cakes, Dangai cakes, Karas cakes, Lapet cakes, and Putu Bambu cakes. The mathematical concepts found are geometric shapes such as rectangles, spheres, cuboids, isosceles triangles, quadrilateral pyramids, and cylinders. This ethnomathematics exploration can be used as a learning medium that is expected to help and add insight into understanding the concepts of flat shapes and geometric shapes in learning mathematics.Keywords: ethnomatematics; culture; geomteryAbstrakEtnomatematika merupakan konsep pembelajaran berbasis budaya dalam konteks matematika. Kehadiran matematika yang bernuansa budaya akan memberikan kontribusi besar dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan objek dan konsep matematis yang terdapat pada budaya Melayu di pasar Kamu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah studi literasi, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya di pasar Kamu memiliki berbagai konsep etnomatematika yang terdapat pada kue tradisional dari berbagai daerah seperti kue Katimus, kue Gadong, kue Dangai, kue Karas, kue Lapet, dan kue Putu Bambu. Konsep matematika yang ditemukan adalah bentuk-bentuk bangun geometri seperti persegi panjang, bola, balok, segitiga sama kaki, limas segiempat, dan tabung. Eksplorasi etnomatematika ini dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran yang diharapkan dapat membantu dan menambah wawasan dalam memahami konsep bangun datar dan bangun ruang dalam pembelajaran matematika.Kata Kunci: etnomatematika; budaya; geometri

Abstract

The Purpose of conducting this research is to find out the relationship between mathematics learning and metacognition instruction based on Malay culture. In this study, using a descriptive research strategy, namely describing and explaining field variables based on existing literature (literature review). The results and discussion are that learning mathematics accompanied by metacognition instructions in Malay culture can be associated with reciprocating rhymes in Malay culture. This link is based on metacognition itself guiding in the right direction by asking questions that can lead, explore, and generalize. While reciprocating rhymes that provide a goal as a role model.  Based on metacognition that guides in directing questions from leading, exploring and generalizing combined with rhymes in order to get the desired learning objectives.So that learning mathematics accompanied by metacognition instructions can be associated with reciprocating rhymes in Malay culture.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the AI ​​(Artificial Intelligence) learning system in facilitating interactive learning in junior high schools. In this research, the design that will be used is quantitative research. The research method used is quasi-experiment with a design of two groups of cases and controls. Research location at SMP Negeri 1 Beringin, Beringin District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. The research results show that the use of AI learning systems in interactive learning in junior high schools has significant effectiveness. AI learning systems are able to provide a more interesting and interactive learning experience for students, as well as encouraging active participation in the learning process. Additionally, AI learning systems also provide fast and accurate feedback to students, allowing them to improve their understanding and performance immediately. However, this research also found several factors that need to be considered in implementing AI learning systems in junior high schools. These factors include the availability of adequate technological infrastructure, adequate teacher training in using AI learning systems, as well as strong support from the school and related stakeholders. In conclusion, this research shows that AI learning systems have the potential to increase the effectiveness of interactive learning in junior high schools. However, successful implementation requires cooperation between schools, teachers, students and related stakeholders. It is hoped that the results of this research can become a reference for the development of AI learning systems in the education sector.

Abstract

The introduction of number tree learning media in early childhood is an activity that utilizes number tree media in order to introduce the concept of numbers to early childhood. The aim of using this learning media is to introduce the concept of numbers based on children's understanding of the numbers 1-10 by showing the numbers in the numbers, asking children to order the numbers 1-10 and then join in attaching the correct order to the number tree. This number tree learning media can help children introduce the concept of numbers 1-10 with an attractive appearance. The development aspects that are easily seen are the motor and sensory development aspects. Aspects of motor development are easy to see because they are related to children's physical activity. Sensory ability is a process that refers to the child's brain's ability to receive, interpret, or reason and use information obtained through the five senses, which is characterized by the activity of showing, repeating what has been seen and heard. The sensory and motor development of each individual is not the same, this can be caused by genetic and environmental factors. This research was conducted by RA- Islam Nur Medan on Monday 31 July 2023. The activity in carrying out this service was the use of number trees to introduce numbers and addition to develop students' motor and sensory abilities. By paying attention to children's motor and sensory development, parents and teachers can help to develop children's motor and sensory development by providing media that supports children's development while playing where children are fully involved in play activities, besides that teachers can design thematic-based activities and utilize media as a tools to facilitate activities and physical activities carried out.

Abstract

Based on the background of the problem in this research, namely the low numeracy literacy skills of class VII students at MTs Darul Mukhlisin Islamic Boarding School due to their lack of ability to learn and participate actively in mathematics lessons, the learning model applied so far seems monotonous which is still centered on teachers and mathematics learning at MTs Darul Mukhlisin Islamic Boarding School, especially in algebra form material, has not implemented the Mathway application. This study aims 1) to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning learning model on the numeracy literacy skills of seventh grade students at MTs Ponpes Darul Mukhlisin, 2) To find out the effectiveness of using Mathway application on numeracy literacy skills of seventh grade students at MTs Ponpes Darul Mukhlisin. This research method uses a combination method (mixed methods), namely a quantitative approach using tests and a qualitative approach using questionnaires to conclude the research results.Based on the results of the t test calculation, it is known that tcount> ttable (10.168> 2.120), then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted at the significance level α = 5%, so it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the Project Based Learning learning model assisted by the mathway application on the numeracy literacy skills of VII grade students of MTs Darul Mukhlisin in 2023-2024. Based on students' mathematics skills assisted by Mathway Application using student questionnaire responses, the average value and percentage of each was obtained in the "Very Good" category and the "Good" category. so that the overall score was 1304 and an average of 3.62 with a percentage of 91% in the "Very Good" category. Questionnaires are used to determine student responses or responses to mathematics skills using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by the Mathway Application at MTs Darul Mukhlisin.

Abstract

Aplikasi Geogebra merupakan suatu aplikasi yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran Matematika. Aplikasi ini memudahkan siswa dalam materi geometri, sistem persamaan linier, persamaan garis, persamaan fungsi kuadrat dan lain-lain. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan mempratekkan secara langsung aplikasi Geogebra kepada siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linier. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 5 Medan. Peserta dalam kegiatan ini adalah siswa kelas X TKRO 3 yang terdiri dari 35 orang siswa. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 31 Oktober 2022. Kegiatan dalam pengabdian ini adalah penggunaan aplikasi Geogebra dalam pembelajaran Matematika sehingga motivasi belajar siswa meningkat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diperoleh respon siswa sangat baik dan siswa lebih senang dan tertarik belajar Matematika di kelas. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi Geogebra dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pelajaran Matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian memiliki tujuan mengetahui ada pengaruh keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis berbasis Budaya Melayu Deli menggunakan model problem based learning . Metodenya adalah eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Populasinya ialah peserta didik kelas XI IPA. Penelitian ini dilangsungkan di Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai di suatu SMA dengan sampel penelitian peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA 3. Bentuk penelitian ialah bentuk only posttest control group design dengan materi persamaan garis singggung lingkaran. Berdasarkan hasil uji normalitas kelas control senilai 0,109 dan kelas eksperimen senilai 0,080 sehingga dikatakan normal. Taraf signifikan pengujian uji homogenitas lebih besar dari 0,05 terlihat hasil dari homogenitas sebesar 0,81 sehingga dinyatakan homogen. Dilihat uji hipotesis taraf signifikan < 0,05 terlihat bahwa hasil dari t post-test pada taraf signifikan senilai 0,000 maka Ha punditerima dan ditolaknya H0 berarti terdapat pengaruh antara keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis berbasis Budaya Melayu Deli terhadap model problem based learning.
