Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide services to MSME actors who want to maintain and develop their businesses amid economic competition and during the Covid-19 Pandemic by maximizing the use of technology in their business. Through the urgency of the MSME needs for digital marketing facilities and financial consulting, as well as the availability of human resources for the service team that can meet the needs of MSME assistance services in Kerinjing Village, Tanjung Raja District, Ogan Ilir Regency from April 2022 to November 2022. This community service activity includes assisting the needs of related MSMEs making online marketing media and making financial reports that are carried out in stages, starting with partner coordination meetings, collecting data on MSME needs and allocation of companions, preparing services, and ending with the implementation of the mentoring process to fulfill MSME needs in Kerinjing Village, Tanjung Raja District, Ogan Ilir Regency. to increase the added value of the business for MSMEs. The outputs of this activity include publications in the Sumatra Express mass media and national journals. Through publications, community service activities become transparent and can continue to become regular MSME service activities to continue to provide solutions to the needs of MSME actors

Abstract

Purpose: This study analyzes how entrepreneurial and market orientation affect MSME performance in Palembang, emphasizing the role of competitive advantage as a moderating variable. Research Methodology: This study uses a survey method with data collection techniques through interviews with micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) owners and direct observation of the research object. The research population consists of 151 MSME entrepreneurs who live in Palembang. Results: The results showed that entrepreneurial orientation had a negative effect on performance. Testing the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of the value obtained a coefficient value of -0.090 with a p-valSSue of 0.008 <0.005, indicating that there is a significant influence, but no relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and the performance of food and beverage providers, and vice versa. Testing the effect of market orientation on the performance of Palembang city umkm through competitive advantage as a moderating variable with a coefficient value of 5.55 and a p-value of 0.00 <0.05 means strengthening the relationship between performance through competitive advantage as a moderating variable. Testing the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of Palembang city umkm through competitive advantage as a moderating variable with a coefficient value of 2.37 and a p-value of 0.00 <0.05 means strengthening the relationship between performance through competitive advantage as a moderating variable.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of supervision on employee work productivity, whether there is an influence of work safety on employee work productivity, and whether there is an effect of supervision and work safety on employee work productivity at PT. Pinago Utama Tbk Musi Banyuasin. The population in this study were field and production employees at PT. Pinago Utama Tbk Musi Banyuasin, totaling 60 people. The research sample was determined using purvosive sampling, namely determining the sample with certain considerations and calculated using the slovin formula. Data analysis techniques using the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study show that, first, supervision does not have a positive and significant effect on the work productivity of employees at PT. Pinago Utama Tbk Musi Banyuasin. Second, work safety has no positive and significant effect on employee work productivity at PT. Pinago Utama Tbk Musi Banyuasin. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Career Development, Work Motivation, and Work Discipline on Employee Performance at PHD Pizza Hut Delivery Palembang. Population is a generalization domain which consists of objects/subjects with certain characteristics and characteristics determined by the researcher to be studied and conclusions drawn from there. In this study, the entire population consisted of PHD Palembang staff, totaling 35 people. Partial hypothesis test results (t) coefficient value sig. for the variable Career Development (X1) of 0.009 <0.10, meaning that Career Development has a direct positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. While the value of the coefficient sig. for the variable Work Motivation (X2) of 0.004. -So, the significance value is 0.004 <0.10, meaning that work motivation directly affects employee performance. And for the variable Work Discipline (X3) sig. 0.005, when compared with the P-value then 0.000 <0.10. Therefore the results of the hypothesis are that H¬0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a positive and significant direct effect of Work Discipline on Employee Performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of organizational culture and locus of control on employee performance in the Class 1 Navigation District of Palembang City. This study also examines the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between organizational culture, locus of control, and employee performance in Class 1 Navigation District of Palembang City. The population in this study amounted to 127 employees and the proportional stratified random sampling method was used as the sampling method. This study used a questionnaire for 97 respondents. The analysis technique used is path analysis technique using SPSS version 18.0. The results showed that organizational culture had an effect on job satisfaction in the Class 1 Navigation District of Palembang City, locus of control had no effect on Job Satisfaction in the Class 1 Navigation District of Palembang City. organizational culture has a significant effect on employee performance in the Class 1 Navigation District of Palembang City. And locus of control has a significant effect on employee performance in the Class 1 Navigation District of Palembang City. As well as the variable job satisfaction has a significant effect as a mediation in the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance in the Class 1 Navigation District of Palembang City, while the variable of job satisfaction has no significant effect as a mediation in the relationship between locus of control and employee performance in the Class 1 Navigation District of Palembang City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the financial performance of PT Bukit Asam Persero Tbk in this case is measured based on the analysis of solvency ratios and activity ratios. The population of this study is the financial statements of PT Bukit Asam Persero Tbk, where the sample of this study is the balance sheet and income statement for 4 years for the period 2020-2023. The method used is qualitative, and the data collection techniques in this study use documents and library research. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques in the study were analyzed through the calculation of solvency and activity ratios. The results of this study indicate that the financial performance of PT Bukit Asam Persero Tbk analyzed using solvency ratios based on the debt to assets ratio shows that in 2020-2021 it is in good condition, while in 2022-2023 it is not good. Based on the debt to equity ratio, it shows that in 2020-2023, although the ratio continues to increase, it is still considered in good condition, and the long term debt to equity ratio shows that the financial performance in 2020-2023 is not good. The results of research using activity ratios based on inventory turnover show that financial performance in 2020-2021 is good, while in 2022-2023 it is not good. Based on fixed assets turnover, it shows that in 2020, 2021, and 2023 it is not good, while in 2022 it is good.

Abstract

Sektor industri memiliki peran yang cukup besar dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi di Sumatera Selatan karena kemampuannya dalam menciptakan nilai tambah yang tinggi. Industri juga dapat membuka kesempatan untuk menciptakan dan memperluas lapangan pekerjaan sekaligus mengurangi angka pengangguran, yang berarti meningkatkan kesejahteraan serta mengurangi kemiskinan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah data yang diperoleh langsung melalui studi dokumentasi. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan OLS. Sumber data diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) tahun 2023. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa tenaga kerja IBS tidak memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap nilai tambah industri Provinsi Sumatera Selatan sementara jumlah unit usaha ibs memiliki pengaruh yang positif namun tidak signifikansi terhadap nilai tambah industri Provinsi Sumatera Selatan.

Abstract

This paper presents an initiative that fosters cross-cultural collaboration between Indonesia and Thailand to promote quality education aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4. The program, implemented over four cycles, engaged 263 participants from 115 universities during its recent editions. It was carried out in cooperation with the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, PPI UPSI Malaysia, and several universities from both countries. The initiative emphasizes the practical application of science, technology, and innovation to address real-life challenges within international communities. A key aspect of this program involved on-site activities at Lukmanulhakeem School in Yala, Thailand, where students and faculty from Universitas PGRI Palembang and collaborating institutions worked directly with local communities. The outcomes highlight the value of such programs: students and lecturers enhance their leadership, communication, and teamwork skills; universities gain international exposure and institutional benefits; and local communities receive support through educational empowerment and problem-solving initiatives, especially for Indonesian migrant workers (PMI). This collaborative effort not only supports global education goals but also builds a foundation for ongoing international engagement that benefits higher education institutions, policymakers, and underserved communities alike. The program stands as a replicable model for sustainable, inclusive educational partnerships across borders.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas layanan, harga, dan promosi terhadap keputusan pembelian di marketplace shopee (studi pada pegawai Universitas PGRI Palembang). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis data proportionate stratified random sampling. Information dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada pegawai. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 329 pegawai Universitas PGRI Palembang. Namun, untuk keperluan penelitian, peneliti menetapkan hanya pegawai dari 6 fakultas yang dijadikan fokus, yaitu sebanyak 160 individu, teknik pengambilan sampel berdasarkan rumus Slovin, yang dimanfaatkan untuk menentukan ukuran sampel yang representatif dari populasi yang lebih besar. Kriteria sampel dalam studi ini adalah 10%, dengan total partisipan sebanyak 62 pegawai. Ini terlihat dari nilai signifikan 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05, ada pengaruh parsial dari variabel Harga (X2) terhadap Keputusan pembelian, dengan nilai signifikan 0,011 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05, terdapat pengaruh parsial dari variabel Promosi (X3) terhadap Keputusan pembelian dengan nilai signifikan 0,001 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05, dan 4) hasil dari uji F (simultan) menunjukkan pengaruh secara simultan antara variabel independen yaitu Kualitas layanan, Harga, dan Promosi terhadap variabel dependen Keputusan pembelian, dengan nilai signifikan 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,005. Kata kunci: Beban Kerja, Disiplin Kerja, Produktivitas Kerja Abstract This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality, price, and promotion on purchasing decisions in the Shopee marketplace (a study on employees of PGRI Palembang University). The research method used is a quantitative approach with proportionate stratified random sampling data type. Information was collected through questionnaires distributed to employees. The study population was 329 employees of PGRI Palembang University. However, for research purposes, the researcher determined that only employees from 6 faculties were the focus, namely 160 individuals, the sampling technique based on the Slovin formula, which was used to determine a representative sample size from a larger population. The sample criteria in this study were 10%, with a total of 62 employees participating. The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test (partial) showed that 1) Service quality (X1) had a significant influence on purchasing decisions. This can be seen from the significant value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05, there is a partial influence of the Price variable (X2) on Purchasing Decisions, with a significant value of 0.011 which is smaller than 0.05, there is a partial influence of the Promotion variable (X3) on Purchasing Decisions with a significant value of 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05, and 4) the results of the F test (simultaneous) show a simultaneous influence between the independent variables, namely Service Quality, Price, and Promotion on the dependent variable Purchasing Decisions, with a significant value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.005. So, it can be concluded that overall, there is a significant influence between Service Quality, Price, and Promotion on Purchasing Decisions. Abstract

Purpose: This community service activity aims to improve the ability of MSME actors in Burai Village through training and coaching in the fields of production, business management, and the use of good packaging and labeling. Methodology/approach: The approach used in implementing community service involves providing support to meet needs through assistance and education. The methods employed included lectures, demonstrations, and mentoring. Results/findings: usiness management is not yet fully optimized, which limits the effectiveness of business operations. Additionally, products such as wet cakes and kemplang lack proper packaging, which could enhance their appeal. Furthermore, the absence of effective labeling has led to poor product recognition among consumers. Conclusions: The conclusion drawn from the findings is that while the home industry has adequate facilities, it faces challenges in business management, packaging, and labeling, which hinder product appeal and recognition. Addressing these issues through training and support can enhance the development and growth of MSMEs in the home industry sector. Limitations: While the home industry owners have adequate facilities and infrastructure, they remain underdeveloped in terms of business management, packaging, and labeling. Contribution: This program aims to offer training and support to address issues related to management, packaging, and labeling, thereby enhancing MSMEs' capabilities to grow their businesses in the home industry sector. This activity is supported by Sriwijaya University's community service grant as a practical demonstration of community engagement.
