Abstract

The aimed of this research was to determining of upland suitability for maize commodity development and its limiting factors based on land quality. This research conducted at three month in Dulamayo garden farming of Gorontalo State University. Assessments of land suitability classes using the framework of land evaluation and parametric approach with root square land index as methods. The result of this research showed that the land suitability classes showed that land utilization type (LUT) for Local Maize of patterns A (none fertilizing) + B (national fertilizing dosage) were dominantly of moderately suitable with nutrient availability as limiting factors (S2na), while for pattern C (prescription fertilizing dosage) was very suitable but any small amount of nutrient availability as limiting factors (S1na). The LUT Composite Maize to pattern A was marginally suitable with nutrient availability as limiting factors (S3na), pattern B same as LUT Local Maize limiting factors, but pattern C with very suitable classes but differences of limiting factors (S1wa). For LUT Hybrids Maize dominantly of marginally suitable with water availability as limiting factors (S3wa) to pattern A+B, but pattern C dominantly of moderately suitable with water availability as limiting factors (S2wa).  Keywords: Suitability class, parametric, upland, maize.

Abstract

Tanaman jagung manis adalah salah satu komoditas pangan yang semakin populer dan mempunyai prospek penting di Indonesia, karena memiliki rasa yang lebih manis bila dibandingkan dengan jagung biasa, sehingga banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Jagung manis mempunyai biji-biji yang berisi endosperm manis, mengkilap, tembus pandang sebelum masak dan berkerut bila kering. Ketersediaan unsur hara bagi tanaman sering menjadi masalah untuk lahan dengan kondisi  defisiensi hara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui  pengaruh pemberian  pupuk organik dan anorganik serta yang  memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Dulupi Kabupaten Boalemo Provinsi Gorontalo pada Bulan Oktober 2022 – Januari 2023,  menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) terdiri dari 2 faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu pemberian pupuk organik terdiri dari 3 taraf (Kontrol, 10 ton/ha dan 15 ton/ha) dan faktor kedua yaitu pemberian pupuk anorganik yang terdiri dari 3 taraf (Kontrol, 200 kg/ha dan 400 kg/ha). Hasil penelitian  menunjukan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik berpengaruh terhadap tinggi dan panjang daun tanaman, sedangkan pupuk anorganik berpengaruh terhadap tinggi, panjang daun, jumlah daun, berat berkelobot, berat tanpa kelobot, dan panjang tongkol. Pupuk organik 15 ton/ha dan pupuk anorganik 400 kg/ha memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Kata kunci : jagung manis, pupuk organik, pupuk anorganik

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kesesuaian lahan tanaman Ubi Kayu (Manihot utilisima L) di Desa Bumela, Kecamatan Bilato, dengan fokus pada karakteristik dan kualitas lahan, kelas kesesuaian lahan, serta faktor pembatas dalam pengembangan tanaman Ubi Kayu (Manihot utilisima L). Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Juli hingga Desember 2019, berlokasi di Desa Bumela, Kecamatan Bilato, Kabupaten Gorontalo. Metode matching digunakan untuk memadukan kriteria kesesuaian lahan dengan data kualitas lahan, dengan mempertimbangkan persyaratan tumbuh tanaman untuk mengidentifikasi kelas kesesuaian lahan yang sesuai. Pengolahan data melibatkan analisis karakteristik dan kualitas lahan, evaluasi kesesuaian lahan, identifikasi keunggulan wilayah, dan analisis ekonomi tanaman ubi kayu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Desa Bumela, Kecamatan Bilato, kelas kesesuaian lahan yang potensial untuk tanaman ubi kayu (Manihot utilisima L) adalah kelas cukup sesuai (S2) dengan luas 80.568 ha atau 61,46%, sesuai marginal (S3) dengan luas 70,63 ha atau 0,53%, dan tidak sesuai (N) dengan luas 30.056 ha atau 22,92%. Kesesuaian lahan ini dipengaruhi oleh faktor pembatas seperti retensi hara, bahaya erosi, lereng, dan media perakaran. Dari hasil analisis keunggulan wilayah Kecamatan Bilato, terdapat dua komoditas unggulan, yaitu jagung dan ubi kayu. Selain itu, analisis ekonomi tanaman ubi kayu menunjukkan nilai R/C ratio yang menguntungkan, yaitu sebesar Rp. 1,23. Kata Kunci: Kesesuaian Lahan, Ubi Kayu

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung komposit pada beberapa kelas lereng dan dosis pemupukan di Desa Payu Kabupaten Gorontalo. Waktu pelaksanaan mulai Oktober 2019 sampai Mei 2020. Metode Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan petak terpisah dengan petak utama adalah empat kelas lereng dan anak petak adalah dosis pemupukan dengan 3 perlakuan. Paremeter yang diamati adalah sampel tanah, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, umur berbunga jantan dan betina, panjang tongkol, jumlah biji dan berat biji. Analisis data diuji dengan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas lereng bergelombang (8-15%) dan pupuk NPK 50 kg/ha mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung. Terdapat interaksi antara kelas lereng bergelombang (0-8%) dan tanpa pupuk terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung komposit.

Abstract

Cabai menjadi bagian dari kebutuhan makanan keseharian, tetapi produksinya masih rendah. Penilian kesesuaian lahan beserta kelayakan usahatani tipe penggunaan lahan (TPL) cabai rawit menjadi tujuan penelitian ini yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Pinolosian Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan. Metode survei tanah diterapkan dengan observasi lahan dan pengambilan sampel tanah, serta survei usahatani cabai. Analisis kesesuaian lahan dengan memadankan antara kriteria kesesuaian lahan dengan karakteristik lahan sampai didapatkan kelas kesesuaian lahan aktual dan potensial, sementara R/C rasio digunakan untuk menilai kelayakan usahataninya. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa TPL cabai rawit yang terpilih dengan kesesuaian aktual hanya kelas sesuai marjinal (S3) seluas 3.608,14 ha dan kelas kelas tidak sesuai (N) seluas 33.584,24 ha dengan curah hujan, drainase, N total, pH, P2O5, tekstur, kedalaman tanah, dan bahaya erosi sebagai faktor pembatas. Meskipun N total, dan pH dapat diperbaiki, tetapi faktor pembatas lainnya sulit diperbaiki, sehingga kelas dan luas kesesuaian lahan potensial sama. Budidaya cabai rawit menguntungkan karena nilai R/C 2,0 (R/C > 1), sehingga layak diusahatanikan. Dengan demikian, berdasarkan kelas kesesuaian lahan dan kelayakan usahatani cabai rawit ini, maka budidaya cabai rawit dapat dikembangkan pada lahan yang sesuai yang tersebar di wilayah tengah dan barat Kecamatan Pinolosian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan sebaran spasial tingkat kesesuaian lahan tanaman pangan pada Sub Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) di kawasan Teluk Tomini Kabupaten Boalemo. Data dianalisis dengan teknik  pemadanan antara karakteristik dan kualitas lahan dengan kriteria kesesuaian lahan tanaman pangan berdasarkan kerangka kerja FAO serta menggunakan software ArcGis dengan metode maching. Hasil analisis menunjukkan kesesuaian lahan potensial komoditas pangan masing -masing untuk padi sawah kelas S2 (cukup sesuai) seluas 2,368.16 ha (14.37%) dan kelas S3 seluas 14,114.03 (85.63%), jagung kelas S2 seluas 10,338.40 (62%) dan kelas S3  seluas 6,143.80 ha (37.28%), kedelai kelas S2 seluas 13,712.13 (83.19%) dan kelas S3 seluas 2,770.07 ha (16.81%). Ubi kayu kelas S2 (cukup sesuai) seluas 3,901.42 ha (23.67%), kelas S3 seluas 2,532.34 ha (15.36%) dan kelas N seluas 10,048.44 (60.97%). Hasil analisis menyimpulkan bahwa setiap komoditas tanaman pangan di wilayah penelitian didominasi oleh kelas (S3) 85.63% untuk padi sawah,  kedelai cukup sesuai (S2) 83.19%, jagung cukup sesuai (S2) 62%, serta kelas tidak sesuai (N) 60.97% untuk komoditas ubi kayu. Sebaran pengembangan komoditas tanaman pangan di wilayah penelitian paling luas diarahkan untuk komoditas jagung dan kedelai dengan luas  54.17%, kedelai seluas 20.95%, jagung kedelai dan ubi kayu 20.07%, kedelai dan ubi 1.97% serta jagung 0.38%.

Abstract

This community service aims to reduce the rate of erosion and sedimentation in Tunggulo reservoir by carrying out reforestation tree planting activities around the reservoir located in a sloping topography area. The method used in this community service is to conduct counseling and reforestation tree planting around the reservoir. The benefits of reforestation trees are to increase the cover of vegetation canopies on the soil surface so that it can reduce the rate of erosion and sedimentation. The results of the community service are in the form of transferring research results on reforestation tree planting and maintenance technology. Partners play an active role in this community service, especially in implementing reforestation tree planting in the field. The community service program that was carried out was well received by farmers because the reforestation activities carried out, in addition to preventing soil degradation on sloping land due to low erosion, can also extend the useful life of the reservoir due to minimized sedimentation. Planting was carried out together with local residents and maintenance was continued by residents with monitoring by the community service team to ensure that the reforestation plants could grow and function properly.

Abstract

The process of evaluating land's suitability for a particular use, such as finding prospective new land for rice field is known as land evaluation. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics, the quality, and the suitability of land parametrically for the development of rice field. This research took place in Moliliulo, Tangga Barito Village, Dulupi District, Boalemo Regency, from March to August 2022. This research used a detailed level survey method where the variables observed were land characteristics in the form of physical properties, and then the chemical properties were analyzed in the laboratory. Furthermore, an analysis of the characteristics and suitability of land for rice field was carried out using a parametric approach. The results of this study indicated that the characteristics and quality of the land in the study area varied greatly from low to high category, starting from climate, land, and soil nutrient availability factors. The research location has 4 land suitability classes for rice field (Oryza sativa L.), namely class 1 (excellent) with an area of 17.52 ha (2.15%), class 2 (good) with an area of 3.08 ha (0. 38%), class 3 (sufficient) with an area of 710.44 ha (87.15%), and class 4 (poor) with an area of 58.15 ha (7.13%).

Abstract

Paddy fields are the main source of rice production in Pinogu District, thus supporting food security in this district, but have not been managed based on the soil properties. The diversity of morphology, characteristics, and soil classification on the Pinogu Plateau is the aim of this research. Three pedon paddy fields (IY1, IY2, and IY3) in one topososequence had their profiles described using a soil survey method at a scale of 1:5,000, including matrix color, structure, and soil consistency. Soil samples were taken from each horizon in each profile and analyzed in the laboratory for: texture (sand, clay, silt), bulk density, porosity, pH, C-organic, cation exchange capacity, base saturation, and salinity. Next, soil pedons were classified using a soil taxonomy system starting from Order level to Family level. The research results showed that the paddy fields on the Pinogu plateau had developed with the presence of horizon structuring (Ap-Bt) on the topososequences, but the paddy fields on the upper and middle slopes were more developed than the paddy fields on the lower slopes. The Pinogu Plateau was included in the isohyperthermic of soil temperature regimes and the udic of soil moisture regimes. The paddy field on the upper slopes was classified as Typic Humudepts, rather fine, active, isohyperthermic., meanwhile the paddy field on the middle slope was classified as Fluventic Humudepts, rather fine, active, isohyperthermic., and the paddy field on the lower slopes was classified as Entic Humudepts, rather fine , super active, isohyperthermic. This classification of paddy fields has implications for specific instructions for soil management, so that management of paddy fields that is in accordance with the characteristics and type of soil will increase the productivity of paddy fields in the future.

Abstract

Today, mastery of technology or IT among educators especially in this case is the Islamic Education widyaiswara still looks low, this can be seen when the learning process in the classroom takes place, they are still confused about this especially when there are problems about IT, and this is a problem which must have a solution. This study aims to find out how urgent technology literacy is for widyaiswara Islamic Education in the Aceh Education and Training Center in the 21st Century and to know the efforts to improve technology literacy. The sample in this study was all widyaisawara PAI Balai Diklat Aceh totaling 7 people. This research includes library research and field research with the nature of descriptive-analytical research. Data collection techniques, namely observation and interviews, then after the required data collected is analyzed by deductive-inductive method. The research findings show that the culture of technology literacy among Islamic religious education lecturers is relatively low. Some efforts in increasing technology literacy for widyaiswara PAI in the 21st century are through love to read, write and research, love in the field of technology, instill the importance of technological literacy, encourage them to have books in the field of technology, instill that literacy to all sciences is God's command as stated in the Qur'an, Al-'Alaq verse 1-5.
