Abstract

The increasing household consumption of cooking oil has led to a rise in used cooking oil waste, which, if reused, can endanger health and, if disposed of carelessly, causes environmental pollution. This condition prompted the implementation of a community service program, which involved training women's religious study groups in Bumi Sejahtera Housing, Pekanbaru City, on how to use cooking oil in soap. This activity aimed to enhance community knowledge about the dangers of using used cooking oil, raise environmental awareness, and provide practical skills in processing used cooking oil into soap products that have both functional and economic value. The program was conducted in several stages, including a preliminary survey, material preparation, socialization, soap-making demonstrations, hands-on practice with participants, and post-training evaluation. The results showed high enthusiasm from participants, as reflected in their active involvement during discussions and practical sessions. Participants could produce soap from used cooking oil with good foaming quality and fragrance, making it suitable for household use. In addition, some participants expressed interest in continuing independent soap production by collecting used cooking oil from the surrounding community, thereby opening up opportunities for program sustainability and increasing the economic value of household waste. This program successfully improved community understanding of the impacts of used cooking oil, reduced potential environmental pollution, and provided skills that can be further developed into small-scale businesses.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Duolingo application on improving students' English speaking skills. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. This design is similar to a pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection was conducted by testing students' English speaking skills using an English speaking skills assessment rubric and purposive sampling technique was used in sampling with a sample size of 64 students in grade VIII of SMPN 43 Padang in the 2025/2026 academic year, namely 32 students in grade VIII 2 as the experimental class and 32 students in grade VIII 3 as the control class. The research results obtained based on the “Test Statistics” output show that Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) has a value of 0.000. The basis for decision making in the Wilcoxon test is that if the Asymp.Sig value is < 0.05, the hypothesis is accepted, and if the Asymp.Sig value is > 0.05, the hypothesis is rejected. The analysis results show that there is an effect of using the Duolingo application in improving students' English speaking skills and that this media is effective for use in learning. The results of the English speaking ability test for eighth-grade students in the English subject, which was applied to class VIII 2 as the experimental class, obtained a higher average score of 20.69, while the average score obtained in class VIII 3 as the control class was lower with an average of 13.94. Based on the results of this study, the Duolingo application can be recommended as an effective learning medium to improve students' English speaking skills.

Abstract

The background of this research is that teacher-centered learning still relies on lecture and practical methods, conducted exclusively in the classroom and without laboratory facilities. This results in students becoming bored and tired during the learning process. This study aims to explore the impact of the use of audio-visual media on the learning achievement of 10th-grade students in Informatics at SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir. This study employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, involving two sample groups: the experimental group and the control group. The sample consisted of 50 students, consisting of 25 in the control group (X1) and 25 in the experimental group (X2). The experimental group received audio-visual media, while the control group implemented traditional methods using textbooks and a whiteboard. The measurement instrument in this study was a learning test consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions that had been tested for validity (15 questions were declared valid) and reliability (r = 0.769, high category). Based on the research results, the average score of the experimental class was 75.72 with a standard deviation of 10.64, while the average score of the control class was 62.44 with a standard deviation of 10.46. The normality test using Liliefors showed that the calculated L value exceeded the t-table (α = 0.05), thus H_0 was rejected and H_1 was accepted. It can be concluded that the use of audio-visual media has a positive and significant impact on student learning achievement in Informatics.

Abstract

Institusi pendidikan dengan mahasiswa sebagai pelanggan sangat membutuhkan dosen yang berkompeten di dalam pendistribusian ilmu pengetahuan. Hal ini ditujukan agar standar nasional pendidikan tinggi dan standar institusi terpenuhi, dan juga kinerja dosen mendapatkan nilai yang tinggi di dalam evaluasinya. Salah satu penilaian kinerja dosen adalah dilakukan oleh mahasiswa yang bersifat transparan dan tanpa tekanan. Penilaian yang dilakukan dalam lima dimensi yakni tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, dan empathy, adalah mencakup seluruh kebutuhan konsumen pendidikan di dalam proses pembelajarannya. Berdasarkan data penilaian dosen STITEKNAS Jambi pada semester genap TA 2024 / 2025 oleh mahasiswa diperoleh bahwasanya kinerja dosen digolongkan menjadi 3 kelompok, yakni cukup, unggul, dan baik, dengan dominan dosennya memiliki kinerja pada cluster baik. Dibutuhkan peningkatan terhadap dosen yang masih berada pada cluster cukup, dipertahankan bahkan ditingkatkan bagi dosen yang berada pada cluster lainnya.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi yang pesat di bidang pendidikan menuntut guru untuk merangkul digitalisasi agar proses belajar mengajar menjadi lebih efektif. Beban administratif yang berlebihan seringkali mengganggu keseimbangan kesehatan mental guru. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis guru dengan memberikan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Trello sebagai alat manajemen kerja digital. Metode implementasinya menggabungkan pengajaran teori, aplikasi praktis, diskusi kolaboratif, dan bimbingan. Hasilnya menunjukkan pemahaman yang lebih baik di antara peserta tentang kesejahteraan psikologis, literasi digital, dan keterampilan manajemen waktu. Terdapat peningkatan yang efektif dalam kemampuan guru untuk mengelola pekerjaan mereka dan penurunan tingkat stres kerja. Inisiatif ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan kesejahteraan psikologis berbasis Trello bagi guru di era digital dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan guru dengan mengembangkan keterampilan teknologi dan kesehatan mental mereka

Abstract

The rapid evolution of workforce demands necessitates competency-adaptive assessments that align education with industry standards. Traditional methods, often static and norm-referenced, fail to address the dynamic skills required in creative disciplines like photography. This study developed a Competence-Adaptive Assessment (CAA) integrating Item Response Theory (IRT)  to enhance validity, and reliability in a photography course. A mixed-methods design was employed, involving 120 undergraduate photography students and six instructors in a 12-week quasi-experimental study. Quantitative results demonstrated significant learning gains (effect size d = 1.12), improved certification pass rates (24% increase), and enhanced technical competencies, particularly in lighting mastery. Qualitative findings revealed that adaptive feedback and personalized pathways increased engagement but also highlighted tensions between automated assessment and creative evaluation. The study contributes a scalable framework for competency-based education in creative fields, though it underscores the need to balance technical precision with artistic freedom. Implications include the potential for CAA to modernize vocational assessments while calling for further refinement to address creative subjectivity

Abstract

This study aims to develop figma-based learning media in class VII informatics subjects and aims to test the feasibility of learning media products that have been used by seventh grade students of Angkasa Lanud Padang Junior High School with a total of 14 students conducted in July 2023. This type of research is R&D (Research and Development) development research using the 4-D model which consists of 4 stages namely Define, Design, Development and Disseminate. The results of validation from media experts obtained an overall average of 3.85 with a very valid category. While validation from material experts with an average score of 3.92 categories is very valid. The results of the practicality test on students get an average score of 3.7 with a very practical category. Based on these results, the figma-based learning media in informatics subjects in class VII SMP is valid and practical for use as a learning media in the classroom.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyajikan analisis bibliometrik komprehensif terhadap perkembangan penelitian di bidang teknologi Industry 5.0 dalam konteks Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Menggunakan basis data Scopus dengan strategi pencarian Boolean yang terstruktur, sebanyak 321 artikel penelitian yang diterbitkan dalam jurnal ilmiah internasional antara tahun 2017 hingga 2025 dianalisis secara sistematis. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak VOSviewer untuk pemetaan jaringan ko-kemunculan kata kunci, visualisasi overlay temporal, dan pemetaan densitas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan pertumbuhan publikasi yang signifikan, terutama sejak tahun 2022, dengan lonjakan tajam pada periode 2024–2025 yang mencerminkan akselerasi adopsi teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) dan otomasi dalam pendidikan vokasi. Tiga kluster tema utama teridentifikasi: (1) teknologi AI dan pendidikan vokasi sebagai inti penelitian; (2) kurikulum, pembelajaran digital, dan kompetensi guru; serta (3) desain penelitian berbasis human-subject. China, Indonesia, dan Malaysia menjadi negara paling produktif. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan perlunya reorientasi kurikulum TVET secara global, khususnya di negara-negara berkembang, untuk mengintegrasikan kompetensi teknologi Industry 5.0 secara sistemik dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat Pengaruh dari multimedia presentasi terhadap hasil belajar Informatika siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Batang Gasan, ditemukannya permasalahan seperti media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran Informatika kurang bervariasi sehingga siswa cepat merasa bosan saat belajar, rendahnya hasil belajar siswa yang belum mencukupi KKM 75. Jenis penelitian ini Adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan Kuasi Eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini Adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Batang Gasan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Teknik Simple Random Sampling, Dimana sampel pada penelitian ini Siswa Kelas VII A (Kontrol), Dan Kelas VII B (Eksperimen) masing-masing kelas terdiri dari 26 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes yang berupa soal objektif sebanyak 20 soal yang telah diuji validitas. Setelah diperoleh data terhadap hasil belajar, dilakukan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan dilanjutkan uji-t. hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai rata-rata siswa yang menggunakan multimedia presentasi yaitu 80,96 lebih tinggi dari kelas menggunakan media yang tersedia yaitu 74,04. Sedangkan dari perhitungan t-tes diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu, 2,3457 > 2,010 pada taraf signifikan α 0,05. Dengan demikian penerapan multimedia presentasi berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Batang Gasan.
