Abstract

Kata kunci: vernakular, Kampung Ciboleger, Baduy, pola tatanan massa ABTRACT Vernacular architecture (also called architecture without architect) is an architectural form based on the ancestors. The development comes from the traditional village customs and prevailing philosopy around it. The traditional village in Indonesia, especially Baduy tribe, still clings to the tradition of their ancestors in managing the pattern and the ordering principles of the buildings. This study aimed to research about the association between the pattern of mass order Ciboleger village, based on the Sundanese village philosophy. This research uses qualitative analysis with data - collecting techniques, literatures and field studies. Abstract

BACKGROUND: Some of colorectal cancers (CRCs) are familial, however, heterozygote relatives have approximately 80% lifetime risk of cancer. Risk assessment of CRC’s family could be calculated by direct measurement of mRNA gene expression and Bayesian theorem which is modifying initial background of pedigree risk with additional conditional information. This application has not been reported.METHODS: The cross-sectional translational sequential studies were performed: (1) adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) and MutS homolog (MSH)2 mRNA quantitative RT PCR gene expressions in tissue and whole blood CRC patients; (2) gene expression was determined in matched controls; and (3) pedigree and Bayesian analysis was calculated in the patient’s family of Proband.RESULTS: Fourty CRC and 31 control subjects were enrolled. The mean blood APC level control’s group was 13,261±670 fold-change (fc) and blood MSH2 level was 12,219±756 fc. The cut-off points for hereditary APC was 12,195 fc and MSH2 was 11,059 fc. The mean APC blood level in CRC subject was 11,578±2,638 fc and MSH2 blood level was 11,411±2,912 fc. There were significant differences APC and MSH level between tissue and blood level in CRC. Eight of 40 CRC subjects had a history of familial CRC. Four patients and 10 Probands were available for recurrence risk evaluation of pedigree analysis, RNA PCR quantitative and Bayesian calculation.CONCLUSION: There was determined a cut-off point of hereditary mRNA quantitative expression. The APC and MSH2 levels in CRC subjects were significantly lower than controls. Bayesian analysis allowed for the calculation of relative risk in CRC family members and considered in clinical practice.KEYWORDS: hereditary CRC, APC gene, MSH gene, Bayesian analysis

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study is concerned with writing, focusing on the abridging sentences ofprécis writing used in Aesop Fables. This study was conducted by using descriptivequalitative design. There are ten fables of Aesop in this study taken from The Book ofAesop (Townsend: 1869). There were 103 forms. The result of data analysis showed thetotal number in types of abridging were: by reducing a clause to a phrase 55.34 %, byreducing a phrase to a word 10.68 %, change the direct speech to indirect speech 16.5%, and by reducing a clause to a word 17.48 %. It means that by reducing a clause to aphrase is the dominant types of abridging sentences used in Aesop fables. It is 52.7 %.The reason why abridging sentences by reducing a clause to a phrase is dominantbecause in all ten of the fables use many long clauses that can be reducing to phrases. There are many clauses which can be reducing to a simpler term of phrases. And theresult based on the context of the form were: human 9.2 %, animal 73.55 %, thing 5.75%, and situation 11.5 %. It means that the context of animal is the most dominantcontext. Then it is found that the ten fables are dominantly use the type of abridging byreducing a clause to a phrase in the context of animal. Keywords: Writing, Précis writing, Abridging Sentences*Graduate

Abstract

Ultramafic complex in Sulawesi have many potential from mining to environmental aspects. The process of weathering and tectonic is a key factor in understanding how to utilize these potential. Tectonic geomorphology by using morphometric indices and field observation has proven to be a beneficial method in distinguishing the topography and morphogenetic development of a region due to the complex interaction between erosional processes and tectonic movements. IAT measurement of 71 sub-basins shows that tectonic activity in the research area are divided into 4 classes with values ranging from 1,5 – 2,6. Field observation shows that morphologically the research area are faulted hills consist of peridotite, dunite and pyroxenite with various degree of weathering. The effect of weathering also reveal on the shape of sub-basins and drainage density in the research area. Tectonic activity present in the form of intensive joint on some parts, with no clear correlation with IAT Class. keyword: tectonic geomorphology, carbon capture storage, ultramafic, east Sulawesi ophiolite, morphometric indices

Abstract

Climate change and sustainability have become critical global issues, prompting companies to enhance their Corporate Sustainability Performance (CSP). However, many companies have yet to optimally integrate CSP into their business strategies, which can influence investors' decision-making. This study aims to explore investors' perspectives on CSP through the lens of stakeholder theory and analyze how these perceptions affect investment decisions. A literature review approach was used to summarize and analyze relevant literature on CSP and stakeholder theory from various national and international journals. The findings indicate that investors highly value high CSP and use sustainability reports as tools for evaluating risks and opportunities. Good CSP can enhance a company's reputation, add value, and provide a competitive advantage. Despite increasing awareness of the importance of sustainability, many companies still fail to fully integrate CSP into their business strategies. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating CSP into business strategies to meet stakeholder expectations and achieve sustainable long-term performance. The theoretical and managerial implications of this research highlight the importance of transparency and accountability in sustainability reporting to enhance investor trust. The limitations of this study include the use of secondary data and a literature review approach. Future research is recommended to employ empirical methods with primary data collection to gain deeper insights.
