Abstract

Aims: Electronic medical records (EMRs) are information systems used to store and manage patients' medical information electronically. Despite being a well-established technology, their implementation often faces resistance, particularly in terms of users' readiness to adapt to new technologies. This study aims to evaluate the acceptance of EMRs among healthcare professionals in the inpatient installation of RSUD Tegal. Methods: The study employed a Quantitative Pre-Experimental method with a One group Pre-test Post-test experimental design. It assessed changes or differences in user acceptance by examining attitudes and behavioral intentions of users before and after learning through video-based instruction. Pre-test and post-test questionnaires were used for data collection. Results: Data analysis revealed an Asymp.Sig. value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that Ho (the null hypothesis) is rejected, suggesting a difference in the average results of the Pre-test on the six variables related to user acceptance of EMRs. Similarly, the Friedman Test Post-test yielded an Asymp. Sig. value of 0.000, also less than 0.05. This further supports the rejection of Ho, indicating a difference in the average results of the six variables. Additionally, the influence of video-based learning on behavioral intentions to use EMRs was determined with a Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test, resulting in an Asymp.sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Conclusion: The study found that there is an increase in behavioral intentions to use EMRs after learning through video-based methods.

Abstract

Uncontrolled population growth is a significant challenge for societies and governments, particularly in the healthcare sector. Indonesia as the world's fourth most populous country, faces this issue with a Total Fertility Rate (TFR) of 2.45, falling short of the intended target of 2.1 for achieving balanced population growth. Furthermore, Central Java Province, one of the most populous regions, records a TFR of 2.27, which is also below the target. It's crucial to note that even a slight decrease in TFR in a populous province can have a significant impact on the national TFR. This research investigates the determinants of fertility preference among women aged 15-49 in Central Java Province, using 2022 Family Life Survey data from the National Population and Family Planning Board 2022. The results of bivariate analysis using the Chi-square test (α=5%) indicate that fertility desires had a significant association with age at first marriage, education, occupation, and health insurance participation, but not related to contraceptive use. Multiple logistic regression (α=5%) reveals that women of reproductive age who married at 21 or older (AOR=0.791; 95% CI:0.786; 0.796) and employed women (AOR=0.798; 95% CI:0.793;0.803) were less likely to desire more than two children. On the other hand, women with health insurance subscriptions were more likely to desire more than two children (AOR=1.129; 95% CI:1.121;1.137). These findings emphasize that promoting women's education and employment, enhancing adolescent reproductive health programs, and aligning healthcare and family planning policies are essential strategies to reshape fertility preferences among women of reproductive age in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze complications in pregnancy and childbirth caused by iron deficiency in pregnant women. The research method uses a literature review with a library approach using existing databases Pubmed, Google Scholar, and Portal Garuda. The research results show that the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia has not reached the target due to a lack of knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women about the importance of blood supplement tablets during pregnancy. In conclusion, efforts to consume fe tablets are influenced by factors that must be improved. Regular visits by health workers and assistance from the family are the most influential factors for improving health education for pregnant women. Abstract

Background: Low birth weight (LBW) remains a significant global health issue, leading to higher rates of infant and child morbidity and mortality. In 2022, Indonesia had a 12.58% rate, while in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan, the rate was higher at 16.30%. The Covid-19 pandemic, which severely impacted East Kalimantan also influenced LBW rates. Objectives: Analyzed the determinants of LBW incidence during the Covid-19 pandemic in Kutai Kartanegara. Methods: This population of 1265 mothers delivered in four public health centers with the highest cases of BBLR. This study used a case control design for 240 mothers, including 120 mothers who gave birth to babies with low birth weight and 120 mothers who gave birth to babies with LBW. Data were obtained from e-cohort data according to specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection occurred from August until October 2022 through interviews with structured questionnaires and maternal child handbooks. Data analysis was performed with logistic regression. Results: Determinant factors LBW were maternal nutritional risk (upper arm circumference <23.5 cm) (OR=2.800, 95% CI=1.237-6.340), history of anemia (OR=3.156, 95% CI=1.716-5.804), history of Covid-19 (OR=4.357, 95% CI=2.355-8.063), living with a smoker (OR=2.505, 95% CI=1.716-2.804), and not having health insurance (OR=2.744, 95% CI=1.435-5.247). Conclusions: Internal factors such as age, under arm circumference, anemia, Covid-19, birth spacing, and parity and external factors (such as living with smokers, not having insurance) were interconnected in contributing to the risk of LBW, the pandemic further influenced these determinant factors.

Abstract

Background: Adolescents experience significant sexual and hormonal development, which may lead to engagement in premarital sexual practices. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with premarital sexual practices among adolescents in the 2007, 2012, and 2017 survey periods and to describe the trends and relevant variables identified in each period.Method: This longitudinal study utilized secondary data from the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) on adolescent reproductive health. Respondents included unmarried adolescents aged 15–24 years who had completed the IDHS questionnaire. The sample sizes were 16,412 (2007), 16,998 (2012), and 19,970 (2017). Data analysis was conducted descriptively, followed by statistical analysis using logistic regression with a 95% confidence interval (CI).Result: The proportion of adolescents engaging in premarital sexual practices decreased slightly but not significantly: 5.8% in 2007, 5.4% in 2012, and 5.3% in 2017. Factors consistently associated with premarital sexual practices across all survey periods included sex, age, education level, knowledge of contraceptives, high-risk dating behaviors, and peer influence. Socialization through media and parental involvement are recommended strategies to prevent or delay premarital sexual practices.

Abstract

Covid-19 for three years has become an inseparable part of the lives of urban and rural communities. The impact occurs, such as the impact of Covid-19 on children. Children are a vulnerable part of society during a pandemic, about the conditions for their health, education, and protection. The role of the city in carrying out its duties as a public servant is important, where all stakeholders have an important role. Central Java, one of the provinces affected by Covid-19 has responded well with its adaptive programs. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach with a quantitative descriptive method, starting with an analysis of the role of stakeholders and programs related to Covid-19 prevention for children. The results of the analysis are continued by looking at the spatial pattern between cities and districts. Research data is taken from primary surveys through FGD and document review. The results of the study identify that not all city/district areas have a response to child protection during the Covid-19 pandemic, urban areas are more responsive to this condition. Increasing the role of protection for children during a pandemic is an important part of the process of returning to the new normal.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD) are a common issue among bank employees that can significantly impact their health and productivity. This research adopts a scoping review methodology, focusing on international journals related to the Analysis of Factors Associated with Bank Employees' Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). Data from various studies reveal that the body areas most frequently affected by MSDs in the banking sector are the neck, lower back, and shoulders. Factors such as non-ergonomic working postures, improper computer usage, job-related stress, repetitive tasks, and insufficient breaks play pivotal roles in elevating the risk of MSDs. In efforts to mitigate these risks, the implementation of ergonomic training stress management, as well as a proactive prevention and regular monitoring approach within the banking work environment, becomes imperative. These findings offer insights into the elevated risk of MSDs in bank workers, providing a foundation for initiatives to enhance their well-being and work quality.

Abstract

Background: Excessive waiting time for prescription services at the pharmacy can negatively impact a hospital's reputation. Exceeding the minimum service standard for prescription service waiting time may indicate bottlenecks in the process, leading to inefficient service delivery. Objectives: This research aimed to determine the average waiting time for the prescription services for social health insurance patients and identify external and internal factors that prolong the prescription process. Methods: The research employed a mixed-method approach using an explanatory sequential design. Quantitative data was collected by measuring prescription waiting times from the submission of the prescription sheet by the patient to dispensing medicine to the patients. Qualitative data was gathered through in-depth interviews. Results: The results of the analysis of 100 prescriptions (38 compound and 62 non-compound) showed that the average waiting time for compound prescriptions was 50.42 minutes and 41.03 minutes for non-compound prescriptions. The longest stage in compound and non-compound prescription processes was prescription review, averaging 19 minutes from all outpatient clinic prescriptions sampels. Results of in-depth interviews revealed that incomplete prescription information by doctors, the total number of medicine items, distraction from patients, inadequate staff skills, and a shortage of prescription pharmacists contributed to delays in prescription services. Conclusion: Duration of prescription services for social health insurance that exceeded the standard time was observed in non-compound prescriptions, with bottlenecks occurring during the prescription review. Therefore, pharmacy management should evaluate and improve prescription services to enhance the efficiency of service time.
