Abstract

Research was conducted to describe and analyze the implementation of discovery learning model of science learning in Indonesia. This research method uses qualitative methods with using secondary data. The sample in this research is 30 articles published in international and national journals. Based on the analysis of 30 articles on science learning using discovery learning model in Indonesia, it can be seen that the discovery learning model has a positive impact on student learning outcomes, it can improve students' critical thinking skills, students' science process skills, students' scientific literacy, aspects of problem solving skills, and also students' understanding of concepts. there are also several disadvantages of the discovery learning model, there are; it will be optimal if it combine with media or other methods, students will be confused if they do not get the instruction from the teacher, and it require a lot of preparation and learning duration. Based on the literature review of the implementation of the discovery learning model in 2012-2021 that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model has a positive impact on science learning.

Abstract

Abstact.This research is aimed at knowing the validity of learning media in reaction rate matter. The type of research method that is used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) but in this research is limited to Development step. The validation test was conducted by a chemistry lecturer from Unesa by filled the questionnare. The validity of learning media can be scored from construct validity and content validity. Based on the validation result, the construct validity score average is 4.39 which is categorized into very good. The content validity score average is 4.14 which is categorized into good. Based on the validation result, it can be concluded that the learning media was declared to be used as the reaction rate of learning media.Keywords: Learning Media, The Validity, Reaction Rate

Abstract

Abstract. The  aim of this research was to describe the Guiding Book which helps implementing assessment as learning. The research subjects were 29 students of Undergraduate Program of Chemistry Education, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The research methods were questionnaire and documentation method. Questionnaire method was to record student responses to the role of the Guiding Book which helps implementing assessment as learning. The documentation method was to record students’ activity in implementing of learning based on assessment as learning. The document used in this documentation method which was  assessment as learning based worksheet. The result showed that the percentage of students response was about 81% for the six items, which means that the Guiding Book played a very helpful role in the implementing  of learning based on assessment as learning. The result of observations on assessment as learning based worksheet showed that students implemented of learning based on assessment as learning by utilizing or being inspired the contents of the Guiding Book. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce science teaching materials based guided discovery for training science process skills. This study adapted to 4D (four D models) that consists define, design, develop, and disseminate, but the stage is done only to develop stage. Teaching materials include syllabus, RPP, worksheets, student books, and science process skill test. This research tested at SMPN 5 Pamekasan. Feasibility of teaching material from the aspect of validity, practicality and effectiveness. Descriptive data were analyzed quantitatively. The validity results showed that teaching material is very valid. Practicality of teaching material show with the value of implementation learning process is excellent category and is supported by the activity of science process skills that have been shown in the study. The effectiveness of the teaching materials obtained from the increase pretest to posttest results of students science process skills with high category N Gain score and as much as 98% of students responded positively to learning guided discovery model. Based on the results, we can conclude that teaching materials based guided discovery that has been developed has been qualified validity, practicality, and effectiveness so that it can be used to train science process skills.

Abstract

At this 21st century, thinking ability for students based on High Order Thinking Skills. This research was to analyze learning device requirement science education by Problem Based Learning to increase High Order Thinking Skills junior high school. This research method is using 4D model. Learning tools developed consist of syllabus, lesson plans, work sheet, and assessment sheets. The device was tested in class IX with a total of 20 students in one of the junior high schools Pasuruan. Data collection using the method of validation, observation, tests, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive methods. The findings of the research are: (1) the validity of the learning kit with an average syllabus component, lesson plans, worksheet, and assessment sheet obtaining a very valid category so that it can be used in teaching and learning. (2) the practicality of learning tools is obtained from the implementation of lesson plans from two observers with very good categories so that it can be concluded practically in learning activities and the obstacles encountered during learning activities can be overcome without the learning process experiencing significant disturbances. (3) effectiveness is indicated by the increase in HOTS characterized by n-gain results were 19 students as high and 1 student as moderate, while the students' responses to the learning component are happy, interesting and makes learning material easy to understand. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the natural science learning material based on PBL model is feasible to increase HOTS.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP pada materi bioteknologi. Perangkat pembelajaran dengan model inkuiri untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif jarang tersedia, proses pembelajaran hanya berpusat pada guru saja sehingga siswa tidak aktif dikelas, padahal keaktifan siswa selama pembelajaran sangat penting karena membuat keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa menjadi terlatih. Keterampilan berpikir kreatif merupakan skill yang penting dimiliki pada abad 21. Penerapan berpikir kreatif dalam inkuiri akan menghasilkan beragam gagasan/ ide yang bermanfaat dalam memecahkan masalah dan siswa menjadi aktif dalam pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Efektifitas yang diperoleh dari uji coba terbatas untuk mendapatkan skor N-gain dan uji sensitivitas. Metode penelitian menggunakan skor N-Gain berupa adatidaknya peningkatan nilai tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif pretest ke postest pada tiap indikator keterampilan berpikir kreatif yang meliputi kelancaran, keluwesan, keaslian dan kerincian. Metode penelitian ini juga menggunakan uji sensitivitas tiap butir soal tes mengandung indikator keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP YPM 1 Taman Sidoarjo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif pretes ke postes pada tiap indikator dan bernilai efektif. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA berorientasi model inkuiri mampu melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. This research is a development research that aims todetermine the effectiveness of the inquiry learning model to train junior high school students' creative thinking skills in biotechnology chapter because learning tools with the inquiry model train creative thinking skills are not available, learning is only teacher-centered so that students are not active in class, even though student activity during learning is very important because it makes students' creative thinking skills trained. Creative thinking skills are important skills to have in the 21st century. The application of creative thinking in inquiry will generate many useful ideas in solving problems and students become active in learning. The type of research using descriptive quantitative research with a one group pretest-postest design research design. The effectiveness obtained from limited trials to obtain N-gain scores and sensitivity tests. The research method using the N-Gain score in the form of an increase in the value of the pretest to posttest creative thinking skills test on each indicator of creative thinking skills which included fluency, flexibility, originality and ellaboration. This research method also uses a sensitivity test for each test item which contains indicators of creative thinking skills. The sample using students of class IX SMP YPM 1 Taman Sidoarjo. The results showed an increase in the value of the pretest to posttest creative skills test on each indicator and was effective. So it can be ignored that the inquiry model of science learning device can train students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

The research consist of two steps. The first step discusses about the development of physics teaching and learning materials of guided discovery model, in order to practice science process skills by adapting 4-D model. The second focuses on the implementation of the physics learning set developed by using one group pretest-posttest research design.It is done to 32 students on X C of SMAN 1 Pamekasan 2012/2013 which concern on the main topic Temperature and Heat, by four observers and without replication. The developed materials set is lesson plan (RPP), worksheets (LKS), students book, and form of assesment validated by three experts (validator). Those are categorized œgood and visiable to be used in the teaching-learning process. The result of this research is analized descriptively, namely: (1)the lesson plan (RPP)implementation is categorized œgood with implemented persentage 92,25%, (2)the most dominant of students learning activity is doing discovery activity to practice the students science process skills that is 32,91%, (3)the improvement of students science process skills through the result of 8 aspects observationclassically, (4)the result of students learning on THB product, science process skills, and psycomotoric individually have improvement and its classically categorized œcomplete, (5) students response positively and anthusiastically toward guided learning discovery in order to practice science process skills, and (6) the obstacles found on this field, students are not familiar with guided learning discovery model and doing scientific research to practice science process skill, so that the use of time often is not suitable with the lesson plan (RPP) due to the new discoveries that must be explanned to the students. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap. Tahap pertama mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika model penemuan terbimbing untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains dengan mengadaptasi model 4-D. Tahap kedua adalah implementasi perangkat pembelajaran fisika yang dikembangkan dengan menggunakan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Peneltian ini dilakukan di SMAN 1 Pamekasan dengam sampel 32 orang siswa kelas X C tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 pada materi pokok suhu dan kalor, dengan empat orang pengamat  tanpa replikasi. Perangkat yang dikembangkan berupa RPP, LKS, Buku Ajar Siswa, dan Lembar Penilaian telah divalidasi oleh tiga pakar (validator) dengan kategori baik dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif diantaranya, (1) keterlaksanaan RPP dikategorikan baik, dengan persentase keterlaksanaan 92,25%, (2) aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran yang paling dominan adalah melakukan kegiatan penemuan untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains siswa sebesar 32,91%, (3) hasil pengamatan 8 aspek keterampilan proses sains siswa secara klasikal meningkat, (4) hasil belajar siswa pada THB produk, keterampilan proses sains maupun psikomotor secara individu meningkat dan secara klasikal dikategorikan tuntas, (5) respon siswa positif dan antusias terhadap pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains siswa, dan (6) kendala/hambatan yang ditemukan di lapangan, siswa masih belum terbiasa dengan pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing, dan melakukan penyelidikan ilmiah untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains, sehingga penggunaan waktu kadang kurang sesuai dengan RPP karena banyak hal baru yang perlu dijelaskan pada siswa.

Abstract

The study aims at examming 1) the difference of cognitive leraning outcomes between students  who were taught by using cooperative learning model of Make a Match type and the ones taught by using The Power of Two type, 2) the difference of affective learning outcomes between students who were taught by using cooperative learning model of Make a Match type and the ones taught by using the Power of Two type 3) the difference of psychomotor learning outcomes between students who were taught by using cooperative learning model Make a Match type and the ones taught by using The Power of Two type of grade XI students at SMAN 1 Sungguminasa Makassar. The study was a quasi-experiment research which employed the static group pretest posttest design. The study used the experiment group I by implementing cooperative learning model of Make a Match type and the experiment group II by implementing cooperative learning model of The Power of Two type. The instruments of the study were the test of learning outcomes to measure the cognitive learning outcomes, observation sheet to measure affective and psychomotor learning outcomes of the students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistic analysis and inferential statistic analysis (uji t α = 0,05 ) supported by SPSS 17.0 for windows program. that the result using The Power of Two was higher than the one using The Power of Two.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match dengan kooperatif tipe The Power of Two pada siswa kelas XI SMAN. 1 Sungguminasa Makassar 2) Mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar afektif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match dengan kooperatif tipe The Power of Two pada siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Sungguminasa Makassar 3) Mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar psikomotorik siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match dengan The Power of Two pada siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Sungguminasa Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan The static Group Pretest Posttest Design. Instrumen penelitian berupa Tes Hasil Belajar (THB) untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif, dan lembar observasi untuk mengukur hasil belajar afektif dan psikomotorik siswa. Data dianalisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial (Uji t α = 0,05) dengan bantuan program SPSS 17.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) Hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran The Power of Two lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match 2) Hasil belajar afektif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Make a Match lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two 3) Hasil belajar psikomotorik siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Make a Match lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two.

Abstract

This study is aimed at teaching the ability of creative thinking and the comprehension of concept for students by developing science learning kit which mainly refer to guided discovery method. This is development research. The learning kit being validated by experts are syllabus, lesson plan, student work sheet, student learning book, mastering concept questions, and creative thingking questions. The learning kit was tested to 35 Grade X students in SMAN 1 Manyar. The design of study applies one group pretest-posttest with descriptive qualitative data analysis technique. The test results of learning kit are: the feasibility of lesson plan for three meetings has very good category; mastering concept ability, assessed from the mastery of indicators, reached  80% is in accomplished category; individual mastery reached70% is in accomplished category. Students creative thinking ability before the learning was 28,6%. It is categorized as less creative. After students having guided discovery in learning, students achieved 84,86% or creative category and the average of students conceptual comprehension is N-Gain > 0,70. This shows a high comprehension of concept on environment changes and waste recycling topic. Based on the test results, it is concluded that science learning kit developed is feasible, practical, and effective to teach creative thinking ability for students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengajarkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan penguasaan konsep siswa yang dilakukan dengan cara mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran sains dengan metode guided discovery. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pengembangan.Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan meliputi silabus, RPP, LKS, buku ajar siswa, soal penguasaan konsep, dan soal berpikir kreatif yang divalidasi oleh pakar.Ujicoba perangkat dilakukan pada 35 siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Manyar. Desain Penelitian menggunakan one group pretest-postest. Parameter yang diukur meliputi keterlaksanaan RPP, tes hasil belajar, kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan penguasaan konsep.Teknik analisis data deskriptif kualitatif.Hasil uji coba perangkat pembelajaran menunjukkan: keterlaksanaan RPP selama tiga kali pertemuan berkategori sangat baik, kemampuan penguasaan konsep dilihat dari ketuntasan indikator ≥ 80% dikategorikan tuntas, ketuntasan individu ≥ 75 dikategorikan tuntas. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sebelum pembelajaran adalah 28,6% dengan kategori kurang kreatif dan rata-rata perolehan siswa setelah pembelajaran 84,86% dengan kategori kreatif, rata-rata kemampuan penguasaan konsep setelah mengikuti pelajaran N-Gain ˃ 0,70, ini menunjukkan penguasaaan konsep yang tinggi terhadap materi perubahan lingkungan dan daur ulang limbah. Berdasarkan hasil ujicoba, disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran sains dengan metode guided discovery yang telah dikembangkan layak, praktis dan efektif untuk mengajarkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of meaning learning model in life organizational system material on learning feasibility, student activities, student responses, student learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and attitudes), and development character of discipline and responsibility. Subjects of the research are seventh grade students of SMP 2 Tanah Grogot, Paser district of East Kalimantan academic year 2014/2015. This is Pre-Experimental One Group Pre-test-Post Test Design research. Methods of collecting data in this research are observation, testing, and questionnaires. Technique of data analysis is using descriptive quantitative analysis. Based on the data analysis of the research obtain some findings:  a) developed learning materials are generally valid and well categorized, b) observation of study feasibility is well categorized, c) students activity during the learning is quite active, d) students response to all learning components are good and positive, e) students learning outcomes on knowledge has increased which can be seen from both individual learning outcomes, skill and attitude learning outcome after the teaching learning process are well done, f) based on the observation, discipline and responsibility character during the teaching learning process has increased well. It is concluded that the application of meaning learning models purport to improve learning outcomes, grow the discipline and responsibility character on seventh grade of junior high school students Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model  pembelajaran pemaknaan pada materi sistem organisasi kehidupan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.  Parameter penelitian yang diamati adalah keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, respon siswa, hasil belajar siswa (pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap) dan pengembangan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Tanah Grogot Kab. Paser Kalimantan Timur tahun ajaran 2014/2015.  Jenis penelitian  Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh beberapa temuan a) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan secara umum valid dan berkategori baik, b)  keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berkategori baik, c) aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran cukup aktif, d)  respon siswa terhadap seluruh komponen pembelajaran baik dan positif,  e)  hasil belajar siswa aspek pengetahuan terjadi peningkatan pada hasil belajar secara individual, hasil belajar aspek keterampilan dan hasil belajar aspek sikap  setelah mengikuti pembelajaran seluruh siswa tuntas, f)  pengamatan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab selama proses pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan dengan predikat baik. Simpulan hasil penelitian ini bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran pemaknaan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan menumbuhkan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa SMP kelas VII.
