Abstract

Tujuan PKM ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan pemahaman materi penilaian keterampilan proses sains peserta pelatihan, (2) mendeskripsikan kemampuan peserta pelatihan dalam menyusun instrumen penilaian keterampilan proses sains, (3) mendeskripsikan kemampuan peserta pelatihan dalam menerapkan penilaian keterampilan proses sains dalam pembelajaran di kelas, dan (4) mendeskripsikan respon peserta pelatihan terhadap kegiatan pelatihan penilaian keterampilan proses sains ini. Kegiatan pelatihan ini terdiri atas beberapa langkah: (1) Pembelajaran selama beberapa jam oleh tim PKM terhadap peserta pelatihan yaitu guru-guru MGMP Mapel Kimia SMA Kabupaten Banyuwangi dalam rangka penyegaran materi penilaian keterampilan proses sains, (2) Tim PKM menilai instrumen penilaian keterampilan proses sains yang dikembangkan peserta pelatihan, (3) Tim PKM melaksanakan kegiatan pemantauan selama guru melakukan penilaian keterampilan proses sains untuk mendapatkan data kemampuan guru menerapkan penilaian keterampilan proses sains dalam pembelajaran di kelas, dan (4) Tim PKM memberikan angket kepada peserta untuk mendapatkan data respon peserta terhadap pelaksanaan pelatihan penilaian keterampilan proses sains. Instrumen dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini meliputi (1) Tes tulis untuk mengukur pemahaman peserta tentang penilaian keterampilan proses sains, (2) IPKG 1 untuk mengukur kemampuan guru menyusun RPP berbasis penilaian keterampilan proses sains, (3) IPKG 2 untuk mengukur kemampuan guru menerapkan penilaian keterampilan proses sains dalam pembelajaran di kelas, dan (4) Angket untuk mengukur respon peserta terhadap pelaksanaan pelatihan penilaian keterampilan proses sains. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa œhasil pelatihan penilaian keterampilan proses sains di MGMP Mapel Kimia SMA Kabupaten Banyuwangi adalah baik, dengan didukung oleh fakta bahwa (1) Pemahaman materi penilaian keterampilan proses sains peserta pelatihan dalam kategori baik (66,7% peserta) dan kategori sangat baik (33,3%), (2) Kemampuan peserta pelatihan dalam menyusun RPP berbasis penilaian keterampilan proses sains dalam kategori sangat baik (rata-rata penilaian 88,1) untuk kelompok pertama dan sangat baik (rata-rata penilaian 87,6) pula untuk kelompok kedua, (3) Kemampuan peserta pelatihan dalam menerapkan penilaian keterampilan proses sains dalam pembelajaran di kelas dalam kategori sangat baik (rata-rata penilaian 91,2) untuk kelompok pertama dan sangat baik (rata-rata penilaian 89,3) pula untuk kelompok kedua, dan (4) Respon peserta pelatihan terhadap kegiatan pelatihan penilaian keterampilan proses sains menunjukkan respon positif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan berpikir kreativitas mahasiswa Jurusan PGSD FIP UNESA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah 50 mahasiswa Jurusan PGSD FIP UNESA yang memprogram mata kuliah Konsep Dasar IPA tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket keterampilan berpikir kreativitas, serta teknik analisis menggunakan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemahaman keterampilan berpikir kreativitas dari beberapa mahasiswa juga masih rendah, yaitu fluency (32%), flexibility (29%), dan originality (31%). Oleh karena itu, direkomendasikan pentingnya upaya meningkatkan penguasaan keterampilan berpikir kreativitas mahasiswa Jurusan PGSD FIP UNESA untuk menyiapkan kompetensi lulusan yang kreatif dan berkarakter.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran kimia berorientasi model inkuiri terbimbing dengan strategi mind mapping yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model Research Development (R D). Perangkat pembelajaran diujikan terhadap siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tuban Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 pada materi hidrolisis garam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) validitas teoritis terhadap rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, buku ajar siswa, lembar kegiatan siswa dan tes hasil belajar berkategori sangat baik; (2) keterlaksanaan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran berkategori baik; (3) aktivitas siswa menunjukkan nilai tertinggi pada kegiatan membuat rumusan masalah, membuat hipotesis sementara, mengumpulkan data dan berdiskusi dengan teman; (4) keterbacaan Buku Ajar Siswa (BAS) dan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) mudah dipahami oleh siswa (5) seluruh siswa mencapai ketuntasan hasil belajar dengan nilai tinggi (0,9); dan (6) respon siswa baik terhadap proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran kimia SMA menggunakan model inkuri terbimbing dengan strategi mind mapping pada materi hidrolisis garam layak sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: inkuiri terbimbing, pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran, strategi mind mapping.

Abstract

The meaning model is one of the models needed in the era of rapid globalization in building the character of students. This research was conducted to describe and analyze the implementation of the meaning learning model in Indonesia. The method applied in this research is a library study sourced from previous research that has been published in international and national journals. Based on an analysis of 20 learning articles using the meaning learning model in Indonesia, it can be seen that the meaning learning model has a positive impact on student responses, which can improve student learning outcomes, increase students' understanding of concepts and foster virtuous attitudes towards the surrounding environment. The application of the meaning learning model is able to transmit positive behavior and contains wisdom, this model requires structured planning to support the implementation of the meaning learning model.

Abstract

Students must have superior competencies to answer the demands of 21st century skills and the Industrial Revolution 4.0, one of which is creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to produce a Creative Attitude in Science Learning (CASL) learning model as a valid, practical, and effective product/product as an effort to improve creative thinking skills and positive attitudes towards PGSD Science students. The development research design used refers to the development model design according to McKenny, consisting of: (1) preliminary study phase, including needs analysis, literature study, and field survey; (2) the model design phase includes model design, validation, revision; and (3) the model testing phase. The research subjects were 3 classes of the Elementary School Teacher Education study program. The data collection method used a creative thinking skills test sheet. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the CASL model can be used to train the creative. thinking skills of elementary school teacher education students.

Abstract

The results of the literature study show that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Creative Problem Solving (CPS) models are proven to be able to improve students' creative thinking skills, but also have weaknesses that need to be improved. To complement the weaknesses of the application of the PBL Model and the CPS Model, it is necessary to develop an Innovative Learning Model that can improve students' creative abilities. The CASL (Creative Attitude In Science Learning) model is a learning model that integrates the CPS model with the PBL model in learning activities. The development of the CASL model is supported by the latest learning theories and the empirical foundation of the latest research. The CASL model has five phases, namely: (1) Generating positive attitudes as creative individuals, (2) Organizing creative learning, (3) Guiding creative investigations, (4) Forming positive attitudes in demonstrating scientific creativity, and (5) Attitude evaluation positive and scientific creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to create students’ worksheets based on guided inquiry which are valid, practical and effective to gain students' skill in creative thinking in acid-base materials. This study was a Research & Development (R&D) using the 4-D method (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The subjects implemented to this research were 29 students of class XI MIA MAN 4 Kediri. A design of one-group pretest-posttest without any comparison was used to conduct this research. Regarding the outcomes of the research, this can be summed up that 1). The validity of guided inquiry-based students’ worksheet obtained score of 89.60% with very valid criteria on content validation and 85.23% with very valid criteria in construct validation. 2). The practicality of guided inquiry-based students’ worksheet obtained values in the range of 70.96%-96.77% and on practical and very practical criteria. 3). The effectiveness of guided inquiry-based students’ worksheet obtained an increase in N-gain in four indicators of creative thinking skills of more than 0.7 with high criteria. It can be concluded that the students that used guided inquiry based worksheet enhanced student’s academic achievment in acid base materials.Keywords: Acid-base; Creative thinking skill; Guided inquiry; Student worksheet

Abstract

Produksi enzim dalam bentuk murni memerlukan biaya yang cukup tinggi, sehingga diperlukan alternatif dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya alam. Kecambah kacang kedelai adalah salah satu yang berpotensi sebagai sumber enzim amilase. Analisis saat ini yang melibatkan enzim amilase bebas memiliki kelemahan diantaranya hanya dapat digunakan sekali pakai, secara teknis sangat sulit untuk memisahkan enzim dan produk, sulit mendapatkan kembali enzim yang masih aktif di akhir reaksi. Solusi untuk mengatasi kelemahan penggunaan enzim ialah dengan menggunakan teknologi imobilisasi enzim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi amilase dari kacang kedelai (Glycine max L.) dan natrium alginat sebagai kisi matriks penyalut enzim terhadap efektivitas imobilisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi amilase dan Na-alginat mempengaruhi efektivitas imobilisasi. Diperoleh kondisi optimum imobilisasi amilase pada konsentrasi amilase 10% dan konsentrasi Na-alginat 5% dengan jumlah enzim terimobilisasi sebanyak 2,2453 mg/mL dan nilai persentase efektivitas sebesar 98,1653%. Aktivitas sisa penggunaan berulang amilase imobil hingga 6 kali dengan aktivitas sisa sebesar 50,7788%.Kata kunci : kedelai, amilase, imobilisasi, Na-alginat The production of enzymes in pure form requires a high enough cost so that alternatives are needed by utilizing natural resources. Soybean sprouts are a potential source of amylase enzymes. The current analysis involving free amylase enzymes has a disadvantage including that it can only be used once, technically it is very difficult to separate enzymes and products, it is difficult to recover enzymes that are still active at the end of the reaction. The solution to overcome the disadvantages of using enzymes is to use enzyme immobilization technology. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the amylase concentration of soybeans (Glycine max L.) and sodium alginate as an enzyme coating matrix on the effectiveness of immobilization. The results showed that the concentration of amylase and Na-alginate influenced the effectiveness of immobilization. The optimum conditions for amylase immobilization were obtained at 10% amylase concentration and 5% Na-alginate concentration with the amount of immobilized enzyme as much as 2.2453 mg / mL and the percentage of effectiveness was 98.1653%. Residual activity of repeated use of immobilized amylase up to 6 times with residual activity of 50.7788%.Key words: soybeans, amylase, immobilization, Na-alginate

Abstract

Abstrak. Diabetes mellitus tipe 2 merupakan penyakit gangguan metabolik pada kenaikan gula darah akibat penurunan sekresi insulin atau ganguan fungsi insulin. Kromium berfungsi untuk membantu masuknya glukosa ke dalam sel-sel tubuh karena adanya peningkatan hormon insulin. Yeast memiliki sumber mineral kromium yang cukup baik untuk kepentingan pengobatan seperti Diabetes mellitus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis Yeast terhadap kadar glukosa darah dan berat badan mencit, penelitian ini juga dibandingkan dengan perlakuan kontrol normal, negatif, danpositif. Rancangan penelitian menggunkan Post test Only Control Group Design. Yeast yang digunakan adalah Yeast beras putih, beras merah, dan beras hitam. Yeast diberikan kepada mencityang telah dibuat diabetes sebanyak 1 mL/hari dengan cara disonde selama 1 minggu, pengukuran berat badan menggunakan timbangan digital dan pengukuran kadar glukosa darah menggunakan glukometer. Hasil rata-rata penurunan kadar glukosa darah pada Yeast beras putih 112 mg/dL, Yeastberas merah 175 mg/dL, dan Yeast beras hitam 128 mg/dL, sedangkan hasil rata-rata pada pengukuran berat badan pada Yeast beras putih sebesar 5 gram, Yeast beras merah 7 gram, dan Yeast beras hitam 9gram. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa yeast berpengaruh terhadap penurunan kadar glukosa darah dan kenaikan berat badan mencit yang terindikasi diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Dengan Uji Kruscall Wallis terbukti bahwa ada pengaruh secara signifikan p<0.05 (p=0.002) pada kadar glukosa darah, dan pada berat badan p<0.05 (p=0.018). Penurunan kadar glukosa darah tertinggi adalah Yeast beras merah, sehingga memiliki potensi digunakan sebagai anti diabetes mellitus tipe 2.Kata kunci: Jenis Yeast, Kromium, Kadar glukosa darah dan Berat badan. Abstract. Diabetes mellitus type 2 is a metabolic disorder of increased blood sugar due to decreased insulin secretion or insulin function disorders. Chromium server to help entery of glucose into the body cells due to an increase in the insulin. Yeast has good source of the mineral cromium for medicinal purpose such as diabetes mellitus. This research aims to determine the effect of Yeast type on blood glucose levels and body weight of mice, this research was also compared with normal, negative, and positive control treatments. The research design used Post test Only Control Group Design. The yeast used are white rice, red rice, and black rice. Yeast is given to mice that have made diabetes as much as 1 mL through around for 1 week, weight measurement using a digital scale and measurement of blood glucose levels using a glucometer.The results of the average decrease in blood glucose levels in white rice Yeast 112 mg/dL, brown rice Yeast 175 mg/dL, and black rice Yeast 128mg/dL, while the average results on body weight measurements at White rice yeast is 5 grams, brown rice yeast is 7 grams, and black rice yeast is 9 grams.Yeast which has an influenced on decreasing blood glucose levels and weight loss of mice indicated by type 2 diabetes mellitus. With Kruscall Wallis test, it was proven that there was a significan effect of p<0.05 (p=0.002) on blood glucose levels, and p<0.05 (p=0.018) on body weight. The highest reductin in blood glucose levels is red rice yeast, so that it has the potential to be used as an anti diabetes mellitus type 2.Keywords: Type Yeast, Chromium, and Blood glucose Level and Weight

Abstract

Abstrak. Kebutuhan enzim sebagai biokatalis dalam bidang industri saat ini sangat tinggi. Jenis enzim yang bermacam-macam dan dari berbagai sumber telah banyak diteliti dan dikembangkan. Salah satu jenis enzim yang terus diteliti dan dikembangkan adalah lipase. Lipase adalah enzim golongan hidrolase yang mengkatalisis proses hidrolisis trigliserida menjadi gliserol dan asam lemak bebas.Lipase dapat ditemukan dalam berbagai sumber seperti pada mikroorganisme, hewan dan tumbuhan. Lipase banyak digunakan pada industri makanan, detergen, minyak, biodiesel dan farmasi. Artikel ini memaparkan beberapa aspek utama pada lipase yang berasal dari biji seperti reaksi-reaksi yang dikatalisis, karakteristik (suhu, pH, aktivator dan inhibitor), mekanisme katalisis oleh lipase serta contoh lipase biji yang telah diteliti karakteristiknya. Lipase ditemukan pada biji yang berkecambah yang berfungsi sebagai katalisator dalam proses mobilisasi lipid. Lipase memiliki kemampuan mengatalisis reaksi hidrolisis, esterifikasi, transesterifikasi, asidolisis, alkoholisis dan aminolisis dengan efisien dan stabil. Lipase dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi 3 golongan didasarkan pada kemampuannya dalam mensintesis ikatan ester yaitu lipase non spesifik, lipase spesifik 1,3 dan lipase spesifik asam lemak. Mekanisme katalisis oleh lipase melibatkan serangan nukleofilik pertama dari serin pada karbon karbonil ikatan ester menghasilkan enzim asil kovalen sebagai perantara dan melepaskan alkohol. Karakteristik biji-bijian yang telah diteliti karakteristik jenis lipase yang dihasilkan contohnya adalah African bean seed (Pentaclethra macrophylla Benth), Durian seed germination (Durio zibethinus L.), dan Biji karet (Hevea brasiliensis). Various types of enzymes and from various sources have been widely researched and developed. One type of enzyme that is being researched and developed is lipase. Lipase is a hydrolase group enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of triglycerides into glycerol and free fatty acids. Lipases can be found in various sources such as in microorganisms, animals and plants. Lipase is widely used in the food, detergent, oil, biodiesel and pharmaceutical industries. This article describes some of the main aspects of lipase derived from seeds such as catalyzed reactions, characteristics (temperature, pH, activator and inhibitor), the mechanism of catalysis by lipases and examples of seed lipases that have been investigated for their characteristics. Lipase is found in germinated seeds which functions as a catalyst in the lipid mobilization process. Lipase has the ability to catalyze hydrolysis, esterification, transesterification, acidolysis, alcoholysis and aminolysis reactions efficiently and stably. Lipases can be classified into 3 groups based on their ability to synthesize ester bonds, namely non-specific lipases, 1,3-specific lipases and fatty acid-specific lipases. The mechanism of catalysis by lipase involves the first nucleophilic attack of serine on the ester-bond carbonyl carbon producing covalent acyl enzymes as intermediates and releasing the alcohol. The characteristics of the grains that have been studied are the characteristics of the type of lipase produced, for example, African bean seeds (Pentaclethra macrophylla Benth), Durian seed germination (Durio zibethinus L.), and rubber seeds (Hevea brasiliensis).
