Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This research aims to determine the effect of applied animalia learning design with the model of experiential jelajah alam sekitar* on learning outcomes and activities of students class X MIPA in senior high school 1 Ungaran. This research is quasi experimental design and it using posttest only control group design. Sample of this research were class X MIPA 6 (experimental class) and X MIPA 7 (control class), taken by cluster random sampling. Independent variabel in this research is learning design with EJAS model on the topic of animalia, while depends variabel is learning outcomes and students activities. The result of t-test showed that mean posttest value of experimental class is higher than control class, with clasical completeness 92% (KKM ≥ 75). Based on the result the experimental class students activities analysis showed that highest activity is motor activities (92.35%), writing activities (92.12%), cooperation activities (91.90%), analysis avtivities (82.40%), and oral avtivities (80.20%) . In general, teacher and students gave a positive response to applied learning. Conclusion from this research is applied animalia learning design with EJAS model positive effect on learning outcomes and student’s activities.

Biology learning design development is an important matter for teachers to be prepared. It is for the sake of realizing the 21st education for the learners. Learning biology also involves the technology role and its implications to obtain innovative and beneficial products for broader people. This research aims to examine the validity and effectiveness of the development of integrated biology-entrepreneurship based on STEAM learning design on a material about the environmental changes to improve critical thinking skills and the entrepreneurial interest of the learners. The applied development procedures were ADDIE model. The developed learning design consisted of syllabus, lesson plan, learning source, worksheet, critical thinking test, and entrepreneurial interest. The findings showed that (1) the validity of the learning was deemed valid and practical by the expert judgment; (2) the effectiveness of the learning design was proven able to improve the learners’ critical thinking skills with a percentage of 84%, with a sufficient N-Gain category and high category of entrepreneurial interest average improvement with a score of 77. The paired sample t-Test shows that tcount > ttable. Thus, it could be concluded that there was a significant difference between the critical thinking skills and the entrepreneurial interest. Based on the findings, it could be concluded that the biology learning with a material about the environmental changes integrated by entrepreneurship based on STEAM had highly met the validity criteria. It could improve the critical thinking skill and the entrepreneurial interest of the learners.

Scientific literacy is one aspect of ability in facing the challenges of the 21st century. Efforts to train students 'scientific literacy skills include the use of teaching materials that can support students' scientific literacy skills in the form of STEM-based E-modules.. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of the use of STEM-based E-modules on learning outcomes and the ability of student science literacy. This research is an experimental research design with one group pre-test and post-test design. The research sample was taken using purposive sampling method with a total of 32 students. based on research results, the average student learning outcomes obtained a value of 70.9. The results of the N-Gain analysis with the medium category show that the STEM-based E-module is effective for improving students' scientific literacy skills.. The results of the analysis with the Paired Sample T-test showed that the probability value (sig) 0.000 <0.05 means that there is a difference in the value of scientific literacy between before and after using the STEM-based E-Module. Furthermore, for each aspect of scientific literacy it also shows an increase, namely science as the body of knowledge, science as a way to investigate, science as a way to think and the interaction between science, technology and society.. Thus, it can be concluded that the development of STEM-based E-Module for environmental pollution material is effective in improving student learning outcomes and scientific literacy skills of grade VII students at the SMP / MTs level.

The thing that biology teachers must pay attention to in educating students to be able to think at higher-order is the mastery of the teachers' knowledge in biology material, the teachers' higher-order thinking skills, and their ability to develop HOTS in the learning process. When the teachers possess them, the teacher can create and develop an effective HOTS learning class. The purpose of this study was to analyse the ability of knowledge (factual, conceptual, procedural, and metacognitive), higher-order thinking (analysing, evaluating, and creating), and activities to design HOTS-oriented evaluations for Madrasah Aliyah teachers in Pati Regency. This study uses a mixed-method approach with a sequential explanation method. The research population includes members of the MA Biology MGMP in Pati Regency, totalling 35 people. The results showed that 1) MA teachers in Pati Regency had high-level knowledge and thinking skills in ecosystem concepts in the sufficient category, and 2) the ability to compile a HOTS-oriented biology learning evaluation was in a good category.

Scientific learning can be realized with local wisdom-based learning that elaborates Biology learning materials with local wisdom in the school environment. The aim of this study was to analyze the perceptions of Biology teachers about the implementation of local wisdom-based learning on ecosystem materials. The research method was a Pre-Experimental Design approach with the type of One-Shot Case Study. The sample in this study were Biology teachers of grade 10 from three schools in Grobogan Regency.1) Biology learning devices based on local wisdom on ecosystem materials were stated to be very valid so that they could be used for research. Teachers have enthusiasm and interest in the implementation of local wisdom-based learning. The teacher's perceptions of biology learning tools based on local wisdom of ecosystem materials which were implemented in the learning process have very positive criteria. The teachers have enthusiasm for local wisdom-based biology learning to be implemented in biology learning in other materials. Teachers agree that local wisdom-based biology learning is very beneficial for the formation of students' characters and personalities. The teachers think that the integration of local wisdom in biology learning is very good even though there are technical obstacles experienced in the field. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that learning biology based on local wisdom has gained teachers’ attraction to implement in the learning process. More in-depth research is needed to define the types of local wisdom in Grobogan Regency that can be implemented in other biology learning materials.

This study aims to analyze the improvement and profile of students' conceptual understanding through a local wisdom-based inquiry model. This research used mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. The population in this study were all class 5 students from six elementary schools in Mayong Jepara. The selection of sample of this study used simple random sampling technique. The study has two sample of class 5 of SD Negeri 2 and SD Negeri 3 Mayong Lor with 27 student and 30 student as the sample, respectively. The first stage is a quantitative method in the form of a true-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test control group design type. Data collection was used test, to know the understanding of the student on heat transfer concept. Then completed using documentation and interview for qualitative stage. Then for data analysis was used n-gain test and description according to Miles and Hubermans models. Based on the conceptual understanding score shows the average score obtained by the experimental class student was increased from 51.48 to 77.41 and the control class obtained an average increase from 52.33 to 66.00. The results of the average difference test of students’ conceptual understanding show that the sig. (2-tailed) value generated is 0.001 < 0.05, it indicates H0 is rejected, which means that there is a difference in conceptual understanding between the inquiry class and the local wisdom-based inquiry class. The profile of concept understanding on each indicator of class 5 students on the theme of heat and its transfer through the inquiry model as a whole is included in the good category with a percentage of 79.32 and the results of the interviews showed that students are easier to understand the material conveyed through direct observation to the roof tile manufacturing company.

The purpose of this study was to improve the activity and cognitive learning outcomes of students using the NumberT Together Learning Model (NHT) Cooperative. The research methodology used is quantitative pre-experimental research with research design using a one-time case study. The data obtained in this study were data from pretest and posttest. The data analyzed to see the score of the test results. Then the test results are calculated on average and calculate the N-Gain between the pretest and posttest. The learning process using cooperative learning model Number Head Together (NHT) seen from the results of pretest 67.142 and posttest results 77.142 shows a 10% increase in student learning outcomes in the medium category with N-Gain value 0.304. While based on the results of the learning done, the cooperative learning model Number Head Together (NHT) increases student learning activities by 30% from 55% to 85%.
