Absract : This study aims to improve the learning process and improve the student’s mathematical problem solving skill (MPSS) by applying Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Type of this research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. This research conducted of class VII D SMPN 10 Tapung on first semester of academic year 2018/2019 wich consists of 32 students. The instruments used in this research were learning instruments and the instruments of collecting data. The learning instruments used include syllabus, lesson plan, and student work sheets. While the instruments of collecting data were observation sheets and MPSS test. Observation sheets were used to find out the data of students and teacher activity during learning process with techniques in this study are descriptive narrative analysis of qualitative data. MPSS test were used to collect the student’s MPSS data which would analyzed quantitatively. After analysis of implementing the PBL model on students and teacher activity, during the learning process student’s participation in learnig more active at each cycles. The MPSS test data of analyzed students’ activity shows an improvement. The mean of the student’s learning achievement for scores early 47,03 increase in cycle I which is 67,14 had improved to 78,13 in cycle II. Improvement of stundent’s learning achievement four each indicator of MPSS identifying for problem, planning problem solving, implement plan to solve the problem, and check results and solusion. This study concludes that the implementation of PBL can improve learning process and student’s MPSS at class VII D SMPN 10 Tapung.Key Words: problem based learning, mathematical problem solving skill, learning process

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase mathematics achievement with applied the learning model of Problem Based Learning. The subject of this research is student of class VIII.2 SMPN 4 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2014/2015, which amounted to 34 students, consist of 13 boys and 21 girls. The research consisit of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. At the end of every cycle the quiz will be implemented. Data collection is done by observation and tests in the form of quiz. The result of research shows that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle II according with planning of improvement after reflection cycle I. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process, such as while they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to quiz I and II. The number percentage of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria on basic, quiz I and II are respectively 67,65%, 79,41% and 79,41%. Results of this research indicates that appication of the learning model of Problem Based Learning can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class VIII.2 SMPN 4 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2014/2015. Abstract : This research is the action research that aims to improve the students learning outcomes of the fifth grade of SDN 15 Pinggir. This research was conducted in the first semester of the academic year 2013/2014. The subjects were the fifth grade class of SDN 15 Pinggir. The total students is 35 people. This study was conducted in two cycles, by prepare three instrument, there are silabus, RPP, and LKS. Collecting activity data by using observation sheet and daily test. Analysis of the data used is describes the activities of teacher and students, analysis of learning outcomes and succesful measurements. From analysis research, increasing the number of students who achieve at UH KKM in every end of each cycle compared to the number of the students who achieve a schore of KKM on basic score. The result of this study explanations that through the application of cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve the students learning outcomes of the fifth grade of SDN 15 Pinggir.Keywords: Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subject of this research is students in VIIA SMP Negeri 1 Rengat Barat in academic years 2018/2019, which amounted to 27 students. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative descriptive, while the students mathematic tests were analyzed in statistic quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process from before the action to the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process, such as while they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning.The results of this research showed the number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria for knowledge increase from the basic score (40,74%) to (59,25%) at the first test and to (77,77%) at the second test. For the skills, the increase from the basic score (37,04%) to (51,85%) at the first test and to (77,77%) at the second test. The results of this research showed that appication of PBL can improve learning process and increase mathematics outcomes for students in VIIA SMP Negeri 1 Rengat Barat in academic years 2018/2019 for the subject matter algebra operations and functions.Keywords : Mathematics Outcomes, Problem Based Learning

Abstract: This research is based on mathematics learning achievement on Circle topic of students VIII.2 of Junior High School 8 Pekanbaru which shows that 28 of 40 students still have scores which stand under KKM that has been settled by the school that is 78. This research aims to improve learning process and students’ mathematics learning achievement by applying Discovery Learning (DL) model. This research is a classroom action research with two cycles. The research instruments used are mathematical learning instruments and data collecting instruments. The mathematical learning instruments are Syllabus, Lesson Plans, and Activity Sheets. The data collecting instruments are Observation Sheets and Students Mathematic Tests. Analysis techniques that used are descriptive narrative on qualitative data and descriptive statistics on quantitative data. Subject of this research are students of VIII.2 Junior High School 8 Pekanbaru in second semester of academic year 2017/2018, which consist of 16 males and 24 females with heterogeneous abilities. Based on the analysis of students and teacher activities after implementation of the DL model, it can be concluded that there is an improvement of learning process. On knowledge competence, in Cycle I with percentage 37,5% and 42,5% in Cycle II. On skill competence, the number of students who can reach KKM in Cycle I with percentage 62,5% and 67,5% in Cycle II. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the implementation of DL model can improve the learning process and the students’ mathematics learning outcomes at class VIII.2 of Junior High School 8 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Mathematics Learning Achievement, Discovery Learning Model, Classroom Action Research

The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative descriptive, while the students mathematic tests were analyzed in statistic quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process from before the action to the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process, such as while they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning.The results of this research showed the number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria for knowledge increase from the basic score (33,33%) to (44,44%) at the first test and to (77,78%) at the second test. For the skills, the score increase from (58,33%) at the first test, to (80,56%) at the second test. The results of this research showed that appication of PBL can improve learning process and increase mathematics outcomes for students in VII 8 class of SMPN 25 Pekanbaru in academic years 2017/2018 for the subject matter Circumference and Area Quadrilaterals Triangles.Keywords : Mathematics Outcomes, Problem Based Learning

Abstract : This research was motivated by the result of learning mathematics of VII.3 students of SMP Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru which is still under the KKM with percentage 52.00% on subject matter of algebraic forms. This research aims to improve the learning process and improve student learning achievement by applying cooperative learning model with structural NHT approach. This type of research is a classroom action research with two cycles. The subject of this research is the students of class VII.3 of SMP Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru second semester of academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 25 students with heterogeneous academic level. The data was collected by doing observation of teachers and students activities and formative test. The results showed that there was a better improvement in the learning process from cycle I to cycle II. This is seen in students who have participated actively and work together in the learning process. In addition, the number of students who achieved KKM on the basic score, formative test I (first cycle), formative test II (second cycle) were 52.00%, 56.00%, and 72.00%, respectively. The percentage of achievement of this KKM also shows improvement from before action to after action so that it can be said that student learning achievement also increase. The results of this research indicate that cooperative learning model with structural NHT approach can improve the learning process and improve the learning achievement of mathematics students VII.3 SMP Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru second semester of the academic year 2017/2018.Key Words: Math Learning Achievement, Cooperative Learning Model With Structural Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Approach.

Abstrack: The background of this study is students low in mathematical of VII grade at SMP Negeri 4 Mandau. The aimed of study is to find out whether there is significant effect of using “problem based learning model” toward students mathematical of VII grade at SMP Negeri 4 Mandau. The study employed the pre-experimental research focus on the static group comparison study design. The sampling of technique was purposive. The samples were two classes that have been purposive sampling after normality test and homogeneity test with the class as an experimental class and control class as a class. There were two sampling in this study; the experimental class was using “problem based learning model” and the control class with scientific approach learning. Data analysis technique used was t-test . Based on the final results of data processing obtained t > t table (1.714 > 1.666) meaning that the application of methods of problem based learning affect learning outcomes in mathematics class VII SMP Negeri 4 Mandau on the material algebra. The finding of this research showed experimental class better than control class (78.13 > 71.13). So, it can be concluded there was significant effect of using problem based learning model toward student’s mathematical of VII grade at SMP Negeri 4 Mandau on the first semester academic years 2016/2017 on the material algebra.Key Word : The result of mathematical, problem based learning model, pre-experimental research.

AbstractThe research was classroom action research that aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes with applied cooperative learning model of type Team Games Tournament. The subject of the research is students of class VIII.A in SMP Negeri 10 Tapung in the first semester academic years 2013/2014. There are 24 students in the class, consist of 12 boys and 12 girls who have heterogeneous academic ability. The research are two cycles. Each a cycle has four stages, the stages are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each end of the cycle of daily test tournament carried out. The success of action was characterized by learning process that was better and the improvement of the number of students who reach minimum completeness criteria on a daily test tournament at the end of each cycle compared to the number of students who reach minimum completeness criteria on score basic.The results of this research showed an improvement in the learning process of each meeting and each cycle. In addition, the results also showed an improvement of the number of students who reach minimum completeness criteria on Tournament I and Tournament II compared the number of students who reach minimum completeness criteria on score basic. Thus , this research shows that the application of cooperative learning model of type Team Games Tournament can improve mathematics learning outcomes of the studentsof class VIII.A in SMP Negeri 10 Tapung.Key Words : Mathematics Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning, Team Games Tournament, Classroom Action Research

This type of research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The research was conducted in class VIII SMP Negeri 03 Rokan IV Koto in second semester of the 2015/2016 academic year with the subject of 34 students. The research instrument consists of learning tools and instruments to collect data. This study used syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets. Data collection instruments used in this study is the observation sheet and students’ test. Data analysis technique used are analysis descriptive narrative of qualitative data and descriptive statistical analysis of quantitative data. Based on the results of the study, the learning process has improved and students' mathematics learning outcomes also increased after applying cooperative learning with Numbered Heads Together structural approach. Thus, cooperative learning with Numbered Heads Together structural approach can be implemented as an alternative to learning, because learning approaches can improve the learning process and improve student learning outcomes.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Structural Approach Numbered Heads togheter, Learning Process, Learning Outcomes.
