Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate students' mathematical communication skills in grades VIII-9 at MTsN 1 Bukittinggi. The approach used was descriptive quantitative, with implementation on May 6, 2024, and involving 32 students through purposive sampling techniques based on information from teachers regarding their low abilities. The data collection instrument was a descriptive test with 4 questions that reflected three indicators: connecting objects with mathematical concepts; expressing mathematical ideas, situations, and relationships; and expressing events or ideas in mathematical symbols. The results of the analysis showed that in general, students' mathematical communication skills were in the "sufficient" category, with an average score of 57.81. A total of 18 students (56.25%) were classified as "good", 8 students (25%) were in the "sufficient" category, and 6 students (18.75%) were in the "poor" category. In terms of indicators, students are best at connecting visual objects to mathematical ideas (average score of 81.25), followed by the ability to convey ideas through mathematical language or symbols (average score of 61.72), while the lowest results are in the indicator of explaining mathematical ideas (average score of 44.14).

Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnant women is a serious health issue that increases the risk of complications such as hemorrhage, preterm birth, and low birth weight. Poor nutritional status is a significant risk factor for anemia in pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in the working area of Bajayau Health Center. Methods: This case-control study with a involving a sample of 57 pregnant women registered at the Bajayau Health Center in 2024, including 19 anemic pregnant women (case group) and 38 non-anemic pregnant women (control group). Data were collected from health records and analyzed using Chi-Square test with SPSS. Results: A significant relationship was found between nutritional status and anemia incidence in pregnant women with p=0.000 and an Odds Ratio (OR) of 19.950, indicating that pregnant women with poor nutritional status were 19 times more likely to experience anemia. Conclusion: Nutritional status is closely associated with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in the working area of Bajayau Health Center, highlighting the need for improved nutritional monitoring and education to prevent anemia. Abstrak Latar belakang: Anemia pada ibu hamil merupakan masalah kesehatan serius yang dapat menambah risiko komplikasi selama kehamilan, seperti perdarahan, kelahiran prematur, dan bayi berat lahir rendah. Status gizi yang buruk dapat meningkatkan risiko kejadian anemia pada ibu hamil. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara status gizi dengan kejadian anemia pada ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bajayau. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain case-control dengan pendekatan retrospektif, melibatkan sampel sebanyak 57 ibu hamil yang tercatat di Puskesmas Bajayau pada tahun 2024, yang terdiri dari 19 ibu hamil dengan anemia (kelompok kasus) dan 38 ibu hamil tanpa anemia (kelompok kontrol). Data dikumpulkan melalui catatan kesehatan dan dianalisis dengan uji Chi-Square menggunakan SPSS. Hasil: Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara status gizi dengan kejadian anemia pada ibu hamil dengan nilai p=0,000 dan Odds Ratio (OR) 19,950, yang menunjukkan ibu hamil dengan status gizi kurang berisiko 19 kali lebih besar mengalami anemia. Kesimpulan: Status gizi berhubungan erat dengan kejadian anemia pada ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bajayau, sehingga diperlukan upaya peningkatan pemantauan gizi dan edukasi bagi ibu hamil untuk mencegah anemia. Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini tentang penggunaan media papan jurang angka dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa. Yang mana diharapkan dengan penggunaan media papan jurang angka ini siswa dapat termotivasi dalam belajar sehingga siswa dengan mudah memahami materi pembelajaran saat mengikuti proses pembelajaraan di kelas. Metode pelaksanaan diawali dari tahapanpersipan, pembekalan dan pelaksanaan. Penggunaan media papan jurang angka pada pembelajaran matematika dengan materi bilangan cacah sampai 100.000 dapat membantu menumbuhkan, meningkatkan, mendorong motivasi siswa untuk semangat dalam belajar matematika. karena media papan jurang angka bukan hanya sekedar media pelajaran yang menarik tetapi juga bisa sebagai permainan yang menyenangkan, meningkatkan ketertarikan dan antusias siswa dalam belajar matematika. Jadi, penggunaan media papan jurang angka dalam proses pembelajaran matematika sangat dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Meskipun pelaksanaan penerapan media ini masih belum maksimal, tetapi ini merupakan salah satu trik untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang menyenangkan dan menarik.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan strategi guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika kelas IV SDN 07 Mudiak Lawe Kecamatan Sungai Pagu Kabupaten Solok Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data penelitian menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar bervariasi, seperti strategi pembelajaran kontekstual (CTL), strategi pembelajaran berbasis permainan, serta pemberian penghargaan baik secara verbal berupa pujian maupun non-verbal berupa hadiah. Strategi pembelajaran yang diterapkan guru dalam pembelajaran Matematika terbukti dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran dan antusias siswa selama mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran yang bervariasi dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 07 Mudiak Lawe pada mata pelajaran Matematika.

Abstract

Abstract This research discusses the implementation of the salam contract in the candlenut sale and purchase transaction, with a focus on the problems that arise from the seller's non-compliance with his obligations. The cases in this study include receiving goods that are not as ordered and defective, which results in unwillingness and loss on the part of the buyer. This study aims to understand the implementation of the salam contract in the sale and purchase of candlenuts and to find solutions to problems that arise during the transaction process. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a field research design and data collection techniques through interviews. The results of the study revealed two cases related to the implementation of the salam contract that did not meet the standards. Defective goods and buyer's unwillingness are the main problems in cases of implementation of contracts that do not meet the standards. The findings provide valuable insights to improve the implementation of the salam contract in candlenut trading, emphasizing the need to improve the quality of order preparation and enforcement of transaction standards. Keywords: Salam Agreement, Khiyar, Disputes, Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas pelaksanaan akad salam dalam transaksi jual beli kemiri, dengan fokus pada permasalahan yang timbul seiring ketidakpatuhan penjual terhadap kewajibannya. Kasus dalam penelitian ini mencakup penerimaan barang tidak sesuai pesanan dan cacat, yang mengakibatkan ketidakrelaan dan kerugian pada pihak pembeli. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pelaksanaan akad salam dalam jual beli kemiri dan mencari solusi terhadap permasalahan yang muncul selama proses transaksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian lapangan dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara. Hasil penelitian mengungkap dua kasus terkait dengan pelaksanaan akad salam yang tidak sesuai standar. Barang cacat dan ketidakrelaan pembeli menjadi masalah utama pada kasus pelaksanaan akad yang tidak sesuai standar. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga untuk meningkatkan pelaksanaan akad salam dalam jual beli kemiri, dengan menekankan perlunya peningkatan kualitas persiapan pesanan dan penegakan standar transaksi. Abstract

This study was motivated by problems found in Grade VIII of SMP N 1 Sasak Ranah Pasisia, West Pasaman Regency, namely the low self-confidence of students in learning. This could be seen during the teaching and learning process, where only a few students took the initiative to present their work in front of the class. Students’ low mathematics learning outcomes were also evident from their daily test scores. The research problems in this study were: (1) how students’ self-confidence develops during the learning process using the cooperative learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type, and (2) whether students’ mathematics learning outcomes taught using the STAD cooperative learning model are better than those taught using conventional learning. This research employed a pre-experimental approach with the Static Group Comparison Design. The sample was determined randomly after conducting tests of normality, homogeneity, and equality of means on the population data. The sample consisted of students from class VIII.2 as the experimental group and class VIII.1 as the control group. Students’ self-confidence data were collected through a questionnaire, while learning outcomes were obtained from a test administered to students. Based on the results of the analysis, the percentage of students’ self-confidence was 76.18%, categorized as high. The mathematics learning outcome test was analyzed using the t-test at a significance level of α = 0.05, yielding tcount > ttable (2.96 > 1.67) and P-value = 0.008 < α = 0.05. Therefore, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It can be concluded that students’ mathematics learning outcomes using the STAD cooperative learning model are better than those using conventional learning in Grade VIII of SMP N 1 Sasak Ranah Pasisia, West Pasaman Regency.

Abstract

The low mathematical problem-solving abilities of eighth-grade students at SMPN 6 Pariaman served as the background for this study. One method that can be used to improve students' problem-solving skills is the Buzz Group learning method. The research problem in this study is whether there is a significant effect of the Buzz Group method on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of eighth-grade students at SMPN 6 Pariaman in the 2022/2023 academic year. The purpose of this study is to determine the significant effect of the Buzz Group method on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of eighth-grade students at SMPN 6 Pariaman in the 2022/2023 academic year. The hypothesis of this study is "there is a significant effect of the Buzz Group method on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of eighth-grade students at SMPN 6 Pariaman in the 2022/2023 academic year." This study is a pre-experimental research with the research design of The Static Group Comparison Design: Randomized Control-Group Only Design. The population of this study includes all eighth-grade students at SMPN 6 Pariaman in the 2022/2023 academic year. To obtain the sample, random sampling was used, followed by normality test, homogeneity test, and average equivalence test. The class chosen as the experimental class was VIII.4, while the control class was VIII.2. The instrument used was a problem-solving ability test, which was given to both sample classes. The data analysis technique used in this study was the t-test. Based on the test results, the average score of the problem-solving ability test for the experimental class students was 73.95, while the average score for the control class was 53.89. After conducting the hypothesis test using the t-test with α = 0.05 and a 95% confidence interval, the obtained t_calculated (3.38) > t_table (1.67), so the decision is to reject H0 and accept H1, which means there is a significant effect of the Buzz Group method on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of eighth-grade students at SMPN 6 Pariaman in the 2022/2023 academic year.
