Abstract

ABSTRAKKesiapan kerja menjadi isu penting bagi fresh graduate dalam menghadapi persaingan dunia kerja yang semakin kompetitif. Fresh graduate pada umumnya memiliki pengetahuan akademik terbaru juga semangat kerja yang masih tinggi. Pernyataan tersebut didukung survei awal terhadap 38 fresh graduate yang menunjukkan bahwa 97,4% percaya diri siap untuk bekerja. Akan tetapi, optimisme ini bertentangan dengan realitas pasar kerja yang menuntut kompetensi tambahan selain pengetahuan akademik, serta keterampilan yang relevan dengan kebutuhan industri saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh self-efficacy, soft skill, dan motivasi kerja terhadap kesiapan kerja lulusan baru di Universitas X. Studi kuantitatif ini melibatkan 105 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik non-probability sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring dan dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa soft skill dan motivasi kerja memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja, sementara self-efficacy tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa pengembangan soft skill dan motivasi kerja merupakan faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan kesiapan kerja lulusan baru. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya lembaga pendidikan tinggi untuk memprioritaskan pengembangan soft skill dan motivasi kerja melalui kurikulum dan program pendampingan karier yang terstruktur. ABSTRActWork readiness is an important issue for fresh graduates in facing the increasingly competitive world of work. Fresh graduates generally have the latest academic knowledge and high work enthusiasm. This statement is supported by an initial survey of 38 fresh graduates showing that 97.4% are confident that they are ready to work. However, this optimism is contrary to the reality of the job market which demands additional competencies in addition to academic knowledge, as well as skills that are relevant to current industry needs. This study aims to analyze the effect of self-efficacy, soft skills, and work motivation on the work readiness of new graduates at University X. This quantitative study involved 105 respondents selected through non-probability sampling techniques. Data were collected through online questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS 26 software. The results of the study showed that soft skills and work motivation had a significant influence on work readiness, while self-efficacy did not show a significant influence. The results of this study indicate that the development of soft skills and work motivation are key factors in improving the work readiness of new graduates. The implication of this study is the need for higher education institutions to prioritize the development of soft skills and work motivation through a structured curriculum and career mentoring programs.

Abstract

Kualitas tenaga kerja sebuah rumah sakit adalah hal yang paling utama untuk keberhasilan secara keseluruhan. Peneliti akan meneliti bagaimana kinerja perawat dapat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan kerja dan efektivitas kepemimpinan seorang pemimpin. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei online dari sampel acak yang terdiri dari 75 perawat, yang diambil dari populasi sebanyak 295 orang. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi berganda untuk menentukan dampak faktor-faktor ini terhadap kinerja. Hasilnya diperoleh adanya relasi dan dampak yang kuat antara kinerja perawat dan baik kualitas lingkungan kerja maupun efektivitas kepemimpinan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rumah sakit harus memprioritaskan program pengembangan berkelanjutan untuk para manajer, mendorong hubungan interpersonal yang kuat antar staf, mendorong perawat untuk mencapai potensi tertinggi mereka, dan berupaya untuk mencapai keunggulan dalam perawatan pasien. Inisiatif ini sangat penting untuk mengembangkan tenaga kerja yang sangat kompeten, sehingga memungkinkan rumah sakit untuk mencapai tujuan strategisnya.

Abstract

Pada era VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity) saat ini khususnya setelah pandemi covid-19 yang menyebabkan kondisi lingkungan serta industri terus berubah dengan cepat, penuh ketidakpastian juga pesatnya pekembangan teknologi, mendorong organisasi perlu bertransformasi dan meningkatkan kinerjanya. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk melihat pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan disruptif (X1), transformasi organisasi (X2) dan budaya organisasi (X3) terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y) PT. X di era VUCA. Metode Analisa yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda. Analisa diolah dengan menggunakan program SPSS versi 20. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui survey secara daring kepada 46 orang karyawan PT. X. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan disruptif, transformasi organisasi dan budaya organisasi berpengaruh simultan terhadap kinerja karyawan, sedangkan secara parsial melalui uji T ditemukan bahwa seluruh variabel tersebut memiliki pengaruh positif tapi tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. X.

Abstract

Today's business environment characterized is by faster technological development, shorter product life cycle, and more intense global competition. To achieve better performance and sustainable competitive advantage, firms need to optimize interdependent activities to generate and sustain capability heterogeneity among firms. By integrating the competitive and NK model of interdependency, this paper discusses a review concerning the importance of interdependencies among firms productive activities and its effect on firm and industry performance to explain the heterogeneity in capabilities among firms.Keywords: interdependency, firm profitability, industry profitability, sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a term describing a company's obligations to be accountable to all of its stakeholders in all its operations and activities. It is increasingly recognised as a source of competitive advantage, and thus a significant corporate resource, as well as an important part of how competitive relationships operate. Corporate has to give serious consideration to the society as non-commercial responsibilities. It implies that besides owners, investors and any shareholders, the concepts of business ethics and the importance of stakeholders should be considered by management. This approach is inextricably linked to the Triple Bottom Line through which the standard line of prosperity (or profit) should now be considered along with the bottom lines of planet (or environment) and people (or society).Keywords: corporate social responsibility, triple bottom line, competitive advantage.

Abstract

This paper reviews the role of intangible assets as source of competitive advantage and how to manage their assets in innovation based competition era. Innovation based competition has radical consequences on organizational management practices; in other word innovation has become ever more central to firms competitiveness. In today's business competition, organizations are highlighting the importance of intangible assets as source of competitive advantage. It is represent significant values drivers for organization such as human capital, customer capital, information database, software, brand, patent, and business processes. In other the balance the investment between physical and intangible assets, organization have to able to identify and to calculate the value of their intangible assets. One way to manage intangible assets is through knowledge management. And the most important factor to be considered is aligning the organization intangible assets management strategy with its vision, values, organization strategy and culture, so that management will be able to reap the reward from its most valuable assets.Keywords: intangible assets, innovation-based competition, intangible asset management framework, competitive advantage.

Abstract

Contingency Model of Leadership Effectiveness introduced by Fried E. Fiedler arose in response to limitations in the two major questions focused on in leadership study at that time; what the personality factors are which make someone a leader; and what the personality traits are which make them effective. It shows the relationship between the leader's orientation or style and group performance under different situational conditions. The leadership style variable is measured using an instrument called least preferred coworker (LPC). The model is based on determining the orientation of the leader (relationship or task), the elements of the situation (leader-member relations, task structure, and leader position power), and the leader orientation that was found to be most effective as the situation changed from low to moderate to high control. Acccording to Fiedler's Model, task oriented leaders is more effective in low and moderate control situations, while relationship oriented leaders were more effective in moderate control situations. The model and its supporting researches were evaluated from empirical, methodological, and theoretical perspectives and indicated that the hypothesis of the model was not conclusively supported, numerous methodological shortcomings were pointed out, and when the theoretical scheme underlying the model was analyzed, and a new scheme was proposed. This article is a literature reviews on contingency model of leadership effectiveness's critics and it's relevance in todays research's issue on leadership effectiveness.Keywords: contingency model, task oriented, relationship oriented, situational conditions, least preferred coworker

Abstract

Expectancy theory has emerge as the dominant process theory of motivation, originally developed by Vroom is a theory explaining the process individual use to make decision on a various behavioral alternatives. The motivational force for a behavior, action, or task is a function of three distinctive perceptions: expectancy, instrumentality, and valance. The theory contains of two models: for the precition of valance of an outcome, and the other for the prediction of force toward behavior. It provides a general framework for assessing, interpreting, and evaluating employee behavior in learning, decision making, attitude formation, and motivation.Keywords: expectancy theory, expectancy, instrumentality, valance

Abstract

The need of communication in today’s business competition is continually changing. The advancement of information technology and the changing in managing organization has altered the way that many organizations communicate. The information technology is a tool to communicate with many different groups. The communication process should be managed effectively since not all managers and individu in an organization have good communication skills abd there is an obvious need for training to ensure that they are able to choose the most appropriate communication method to get the message across clearly understood by the receiver and on the other hand, the receiver should be able to supply some feedback.
