Abstract

Prophetic education is a process of transferring knowledge and values ​​which aims to get closer to God and nature while understanding them to build an ideal social community (khaira ummah). The pillar of transcendence is an important milestone for building oneself to strengthen one's faith (tu'minu billah) in Allah SWT. The goal of transcendence is to cleanse oneself from the flow of hedonism and restore human nature to return to God. This research method uses a qualitative method, namely in the form of data described through words, not through numbers. Meanwhile, the technical data analysis used is the literature study method or literature study. Recognition of the existence of a transcendental structure interprets the reality of the existence of pure ideas, the source of which is outside the human self, has far and wide implications for life.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain data on smoking behavior among female students of FIS State University Jakarta. To get a clear picture of smoking behavior and the factors that cause female students to smoke at the Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Jakarta, researchers used a descriptive approach. Several data collection techniques were carried out with semi-structured interviews, participant observation, document analysis and field notes. This research was conducted for five months from January to June 2024. The results of the study concluded that there are two factors behind the behavior of female students to smoke. Internal factors are from within oneself and from the family. Relieving stress is the reason from within them to smoke. While the family is their support for smoking because family members who smoke encourage students to smoke. External factors also influence female students to smoke, namely from friends and cigarette advertisements themselves. Then there is a deviation of differential association because the process of female students to learn to smoke comes from family and friends, which proves that deviation can be done from the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the words included in code mixing in the Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap film by Bene Dion. This film is set in Batak culture and uses the original Batak language because it was recorded in an area that is still heavily influenced by Batak culture, especially the area around Lake Toba. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The free listening method and data recording procedures using speech from the Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap film were used to collect data for this study. The results of this study found 16 words included in code mixing and there were 3 slogans from the Ngeri-ngeri sedap film. Code mixing in the Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap film became the source of research data. Recording and listening techniques were used to collect data. Learning slogans to improve language comprehension and proficiency is one way to learn Indonesian that has consequences.

Abstract

This study aims to prove the effectiveness of using Google Sites in teaching poetry writing to class XI students at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Unismuh Makassar. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method, specifically a pretest-posttest control group design. The data collection techniques used were written tests in the form of multiple choice and essays. The results showed that the average pretest score of the experimental class was 67.33 and posttest was 80.20, while the control class had an average pretest of 64.33 and posttest of 72.42. These results indicate a significant difference in learning outcomes, suggesting that Google Sites is effective in improving students' poetry writing skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengelolaan piutang pada Koperasi Simpan Pinjam Bina Artha Mandiri (KSP BAM) Unit Natar. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian dipilih secara purposive, yakni tiga individu yang memiliki keterkaitan langsung dengan isu yang diteliti. Proses analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan, dan dilengkapi dengan analisis rasio piutang, yaitu Rasio Perputaran Piutang (RTO), Rata-rata Waktu Penagihan (ACP), Rasio Tunggakan, dan Rasio Penagihan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pengelolaan piutang di KSP BAM Unit Natar telah menerapkan prinsip kehati-hatian melalui pendekatan 5C, meskipun belum tertulis secara formal. Penetapan syarat kredit dituangkan dalam akad kredit, dan penagihan dilakukan rutin melalui kunjungan lapangan dua kali dalam seminggu. Kendala pengelolaan piutang meliputi penyalahgunaan data oleh karyawan, kurangnya ketelitian survei calon debitur, debitur kesulitan membayar angsuran piutang dan perpindahan tempat tinggal tanpa pemberitahuan. Upaya penyelesaian dilakukan melalui penagihan secara intensif, pengecekan lapangan dan penagihan ulang, serta pemberian sanksi administratif dan pemutihan piutang jika diperlukan. Berdasarkan analisis rasio keuangan, pengelolaan piutang dinilai cukup baik, meskipun rasio tunggakan masih tinggi dan pencapaian rasio penagihan belum optimal. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perbaikan dalam penagihan dan pengendalian tunggakan untuk menjaga kesehatan keuangan koperasi.

Abstract

The background of this research is that to carry out teaching and learning activities in a school, an educator is needed. Educators are the main determinants of the success of the learning process carried out. The performance of a teacher can be well reflected if the results of the teacher's performance can be well appreciated. Compensation is one of the external factors that can improve teacher performance. One of the things that can improve teacher performance is the provision of compensation in the form of salaries, bonuses, types of allowances and other facilities. The provision of compensation is one of the means of stimulants in growing enthusiasm and enthusiasm for work. By building a good compensation system, teacher performance can be improved. Therefore, educational institutions need to pay attention to the compensation system as an effort to improve teacher performance which can have an impact on improving educational services for students. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with the type of research used is a case study. With data collection procedures using: in-depth interviews, and observation. Data analysis used is data collection, data presentation and conclusion drawing.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' difficulties in solving word problems in the Indonesian language subject for fifth-grade students at UPT SDN Inpres 163 Bontopanno, Takalar Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of 20 fifth-grade students. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that students' ability to solve word problems is still not optimal. Students experience several difficulties, including difficulties in understanding the content of the text, identifying the main idea, determining the message of the text, and expressing answers clearly and systematically. The factors causing these difficulties consist of internal and external factors. Internal factors include low reading interest, limited vocabulary mastery, and lack of self-confidence. Meanwhile, external factors include less varied teaching methods and the suboptimal use of learning media. Based on these findings, improvements in the learning process are needed through the use of more innovative teaching methods, enhancement of reading literacy activities, and continuous practice to improve students' ability in solving word problems effectively.

Abstract

This community service program is an international initiative aimed at increasing public awareness of the importance of language politeness in environmental campaigns, particularly in efforts to reduce plastic waste. The program was carried out through collaboration between Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, Politeknik Besut Terengganu Malaysia, and the Geng Plastik Ija Terengganu community. The activities were conducted at Bukit Keluang Beach using a participatory approach that actively involved community members in the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of the program. The activities included training on polite communication, simulations of persuasive language use in environmental campaigns, and direct practice of plastic waste reduction campaigns for the surrounding community. Through these activities, participants gained a better understanding of the importance of using polite and effective language in delivering environmental messages to society. The results showed an improvement in participants’ communication skills in environmental advocacy, increased public awareness regarding plastic waste reduction, and greater community participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness. Furthermore, this international collaboration also strengthened cross-cultural communication competencies and institutional cooperation in implementing community service activities oriented toward environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low ability of eighth-grade students at SMP Swasta Cenderamata to write expository texts, particularly in understanding text structure, developing logical arguments, and using effective language. This study aimed to analyze students’ expository text writing ability through the implementation of a practice-based learning method. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a field research design, involving all eighth-grade students at SMP Swasta Cenderamata as participants. Data were collected through observations of the learning process, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of students’ written work, and were analyzed using an interactive analysis model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that implementing a practice-based learning method significantly improved students’ expository text writing ability, as reflected in their progress in formulating a thesis, developing arguments, and writing reiteration in accordance with the structure of expository texts. In addition, students’ engagement and motivation in writing instruction increased because they were directly involved in each stage of the writing process, from planning to revision. Nevertheless, several challenges remained, including limited vocabulary, difficulties in developing ideas in depth, and mechanical errors in writing. This study concludes that a practice-based learning method is effective and relevant for improving students’ expository text writing skills, and it underscores the importance of practice-oriented writing instruction to enhance the quality of Indonesian language learning processes and outcomes.
