Abstract

The research is focused on developing VR Cardboard as a tool for accessing physical learning media through virtual reality. Virtual reality-based media has been advancing over the past decade, requiring additional devices for an optimal learning experience. The research included data collection, design, development, validation, and revision. The VR Cardboard design follows the template provided by the open-source Google Cardboard platform, using cardboard cut to a predetermined design. The VR Cardboard received a validation score of 79%, indicating its suitability for use. The validator recommends adjusting the focal distance of the biconvex lens by 45 mm for clearer observation of 3D objects. Additionally, it is recommended that the VR Cardboard be packaged in a container resistant to wetness, fire, and pressure to ensure its longevity.

Abstract

Penggunaan smartphone dalam pembelajaran fisika memberikan dampak positif dan menimbulkan masalah lain, salah satunya adalah penyalahgunaan gawai untuk kegiatan lain, seperti bermain game. Hal ini menyebabkan pembelajaran menjadi kurang efektif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan aplikasi berupa buku digital berbasis augmented reality dan gamifikasi untuk pembelajaran fisika untuk materi medan magnet. Penelitian ini mengikuti langkah-langkah pengembangan model ADDIE, yang meliputi analisis, desain, dan pengembangan. Data untuk pengembangan dikumpulkan melalui analisis konten fisika, media pembelajaran, dan analisis perangkat lunak yang terkait dengan augmented reality dan permainan Maze Chase. Lima orang pakar melakukan validasi terhadap media ajar yang dihasilkan. Setelah dikembangkan, media pembelajaran medan magnet berbasis augmented reality dan gamifikasi dihasilkan menjadi buku digital. Berdasarkan hasil validasi pakar, nilai CVR untuk semua aspek yang tervalidasi adalah 5, yang lebih besar dari CVR kritis yaitu 4. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran yang dihasilkan valid dan layak untuk mendukung pembelajaran fisika SMA tentang medan magnet.

Abstract

Objective:  This study aims to develop interactive video learning media that integrates rigid body equilibrium material in the context of Boranan Lamongan Dance, in order to improve students' understanding of abstract physics concepts while introducing local culture. Method: This study uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development) development method and was conducted at the high school level involving 3 physics teachers and 21 students.  At the analysis stage, the need for learning media that is relevant to the material and local context was identified. The design stage includes the creation of an interactive video that presents an explanation of rigid body equilibrium through Boranan Dance visualization. At the development stage, the video was tested on a limited basis to obtain feedback. The assessment in this response observation gform uses a Likert scale score. Results: The results of the study showed that this media was effective in improving understanding of the material with a percentage score of 84.57%, which indicates that this learning media is very effective according to the responses of teachers and students. In addition, this video also succeeded in integrating local wisdom, increasing students' learning motivation, and introducing local culture in an interesting way. Novelty: The uniqueness of this study lies in the combination of local cultural elements with physics material that is often considered abstract, as well as the use of interactive video as a fun and participatory learning tool. This research contributes to the development of technology-based learning media that prioritizes the preservation of local culture.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to train the making of alternative energy kits to support the learning of the Merdeka curriculum, especially for grade X for physics teachers in Nganjuk district. Physics learning in the Merdeka Curriculum requires students to think critically and innovatively through a discovery process using a project-based learning model (PjBL). One of the applications of the PjBL learning model in physics is in the alternative energy material for grade X phase E. Based on observations, there is still a lack of supporting kits to support the chapter Alternative Energy. This Community Service activity is divided into several stages, namely: identification of problems and partner needs, Community Service preparation, Community Service implementation, training in making Alternative Energy kits, and evaluating the results of Community Service activities. All participants were very enthusiastic in participating in the activity. Even from the results of the response questionnaire using Google Form which was distributed to participants, it appears that the training material provided is relatively new, interesting, and inspiring. The results of the questionnaire also showed that the training material was relevant to the needs of teachers. Participants hope that similar activities can also be improved with technology-based learning media training.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan efektivitas pembelajaran, berbasis kegiatan laboratorium pada materi pokok alat optik melalui hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pre Experimental Design dengan Randomized One Group Pretest-Posttest. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-A, VIII-B, VIII-C, VIII-G dan VIII-H SMP Negeri 6 Surabaya dengan sampel penelitian adalah (VIII-A, VIII-B, VIII-G) sebagai kelas eksperimen. Hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa semua kelas berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata gain yang dinormalisasi untuk kelas eksperimen I ialah <0.83>, kelas eksperimen II ialah <0.90>dan kelas eksperimen III ialah <0.80>menunjukkan berkategori tinggi; pengelolaan pembelajaran menunjukkan berkategori sangat baik; dan persentase psikomotor serta afektif menunjukkan berkategori sangat baik. Dan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa >80% memberikan respons positif terhadap pembelajaran berbasis kegiatan laboratorium.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peran analisis tugas dalam Group Investigation terhadap aktivitas siswa dan pemahaman konsep. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah one group pre-test post-test design, dengan sampel yang digunakan sebagai subyeknya adalah kelas X-1, kelas X-2, dan kelas X-10 di SMAN 15 Surabaya. Hasil pre-test dianalisis dengan uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Langkah selanjutnya siswa diberikan post-test, dari hasil nilai pre-test dan post-test dilakukan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis statistik uji-t dua pihak untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil rata-rata nilai pre-test dan post-test. Dari hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil pre-test dan post-test di ketiga kelas berbeda. Sehingga menunjukkan bahwa hasil post-test lebih baik dari hasil pre-test. Hubungan hasil analisis tugas dengan hasil pemahaman konsep ditunjukkan dengan regresi Y= 209.64-1.607X dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 96%. Hubungan hasil analisis tugas dengan hasil aktivitas siswa ditunjukkan dengan regresi Y=X dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 100%. Hubungan hasil aktivitas siswa dengan hasil pemahaman konsep ditunjukkan dengan regresi Y= 11.579+0.7895X dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 16%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) dengan media cerita bergambar terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pesawat sederhana. LKS dalam bentuk cerita bergambar dipilih karena cerita bergambar merupakan salah satu media visual yang populer dan mampu mengembangkan daya imajinasi siswa. Siswa dapat mempelajari percobaan-percobaan sederhana dari tokoh di dalam cerita bergambar kemudian mempraktikkannya sendiri secara langsung. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pembelajaran siswa di sekolah menjadi lebih bermakna. Populasi penelitian terdistribusi normal adalah 191 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 12 Surabaya dan sampel yang homogen diambil dari populasi sejumlah 35 siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasi regresi sederhana. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan LKS dengan media cerita bergambar berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dengan persentase pengaruhnya tergolong kuat yaitu sebesar 52,9%. Penerapan LKS dengan media cerita bergambar juga berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan persentase pengaruh yang tergolong kuat pula yaitu sebesar 67,7%.

Abstract

There is a lot of research related to the development of learning media that utilizes technological advances, one of which is 3D animation-based learning media. However, it is different from the TITANICS learning media. This is because the TITANICS learning media developed is able to train students' cognitive thinking levels from level C1 (remembering) to C4 (analyzing) by utilizing 3D animation in the form of a combination of video and interactive PPT (PowerPoint). This research focuses on analyzing the validity of the TITANICS learning media which has been developed using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) development research model. Media validation is carried out by three validators who are expert lecturers in the field of learning media. Media validity is reviewed from four aspects, namely media appearance, language used, suitability and media operation. The research results showed that the validity scores obtained in these four aspects were 91.66%, 91.66%, 90.27% and 89.58%. Thus the average validation score percentage obtained for TITANICS learning media was 90.79% in the very valid category. So, it can be stated that the TITANICS learning media is suitable for use as a learning media to train students' cognitive thinking levels from level C1 (remembering) to C4 (analyzing) in learning physics on thermodynamics material. Abstract

Sustainability is a major challenge in the 21st century that must be managed by physics learning. This study aims to explore students' sustainability literacy in the context of energy conservation and transformation through physics questions created with an environmental approach. This study uniquely integrates local pesantren contexts into physics education to address sustainability literacy, offering a novel contribution to science education by incorporating cultural and contextual relevance. With a descriptive exploration of 30 grade X students from senior high school Nurul Jadid, the research was conducted using tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The results on the knowledge dimension showed that students performed very well at low cognitive levels, but higher-order thinking skills, especially evaluation and creation, were still low. In the skill dimension, students' ability to solve problems was moderate, with weaknesses in the aspects of evaluation and reflection. Although students responded well to the contextual problems, many had difficulty in drawing energy transformation schemes. These results indicate the need for more practical and contextualized learning to strengthen sustainability literacy in physics learning.

Abstract

Objective:   This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the development of TITANICS media (Three-Dimensional Interactive Animation of Thermodynamics) in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes. This is based on the need for future innovative learning strategies that integrate digital technology into educational institutions. Method: This research uses a development approach using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The sample consisted of 28 students from class XI Science 1 at Trensains Tebuireng High School, selected through purposive sampling. Results:Based on the data and analysis conducted, it can be concluded that the TITANICS learning media (Three-Dimensional Interactive Animation of Thermodynamics) is effective in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes in thermodynamics. Novelty: This study presents the development of digital media featuring 3D animation, formed into interactive videos that include educational content and quiz questions contextualized with real-life applications of thermodynamic concepts.
