Abstract

This study discusses bureaucratic reform in improving public services at the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises (DISPERINDAGKOP UKM) of Paser Regency, East Kalimantan. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, aiming to understand the role of bureaucratic reform in creating more effective, efficient, and transparent public services. A sample of 15 people was taken for this study. The research findings indicate that bureaucratic reform at DISPERINDAGKOP UKM contributes to improving service quality, strengthening human resource capacity, utilizing technology, and increasing community participation. However, there are several obstacles, such as limited human resources, regulations, and adequate infrastructure. Strategic steps, such as developing a reform roadmap, strengthening institutional structures, and implementing a meritocracy system, have been undertaken to address these challenges. This study emphasizes the importance of bureaucratic reform in supporting SME growth, enhancing competitiveness, and improving public trust in local governments.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence has the potential to revolutionize education by enhancing teaching and learning experiences. By integrating AI technology, SD Muhammadiyah Kebumen can optimize its teaching methods and improve the overall learning outcomes for students. However, successfully integrating AI technology into education requires addressing specific challenges and considerations. These challenges include the profit-oriented nature of current AI applications in education, the lack of pedagogical knowledge among AI developers, and the need for teachers' input and collaboration in the development process. This paper explores the potential of integrating AI technology to optimize SD Muhammadiyah Kebumen's learning. The method of this research is a mix of methods, combining both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The quantitative approach will involve analyzing data on the current teaching methods and learning outcomes of SD Muhammadiyah Kebumen. The qualitative approach will include conducting interviews and surveys to gather insights and perceptions from teachers regarding the use and effectiveness of AI technology in their classrooms. The results show that integrating AI technology in teaching can improve the quality and effectiveness of instruction, enhance student engagement and personalized learning experiences, and provide teachers with valuable insights and data to inform their teaching practices. The score is approximately 3.78, suggesting a somewhat positive attitude towards AI among the respondents. Current use of technological tools: This category scored the highest, with a mean score of around 4.12, indicating that the current use of technological tools is favorable among the participants. Perceived benefits of AI integration include improved student outcomes, increased efficiency in teaching, personalized learning experiences, enhanced engagement, and access to valuable data for informed decision-making. The study found that integrating AI technology in teaching can potentially optimize learning for SD Muhammadiyah Kebumen

Abstract

Student discipline is one of the most influential factors in the success of the educational process at school, especially at the junior high school (SMP) level, which represents an important transitional phase in students’ development. At this stage, students often experience physical, emotional, and social changes that can affect their disciplinary behavior. Therefore, Guidance and Counseling (BK) services hold a strategic position in helping students to understand, adapt, and comply with the norms and rules that apply in school. This study aims to examine in depth the role of BK services in improving student discipline in junior high schools through various programs and approaches implemented by BK teachers. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques that include in-depth interviews with BK teachers, observation of student behavior, and documentation studies of disciplinary records and BK programs in schools. The results show that BK services make a significant contribution to shaping disciplined behavior through several forms of services, such as basic services (orientation, information, and content mastery), responsive services (individual and group counseling), individual planning services, as well as system support involving collaboration with homeroom teachers, subject teachers, and parents. BK teachers also play a role in providing education about the importance of discipline, helping students develop self-control, and offering problem-solving approaches that are tailored to each student’s condition. In addition, BK services have proven effective in creating a conducive school environment by preventing indiscipline such as tardiness, violations of school rules, and low academic responsibility. BK programs that are designed sustainably and adapted to students’ developmental needs can increase their motivation, awareness, and commitment to school regulations. Thus, it can be concluded that BK services have a vital and effective role in improving student discipline.

Abstract

The leadership of the Village Head is crucial for the success of the community empowerment program and for creating social balance in the village. This study is motivated by the need to understand the leadership role of the Tonusu Village Head, particularly in social and religious development. The purpose of this study is to assess the leadership of the Village Head from the perspective of the community and religious leaders in the church, who are an important part of the influential community in the village. The approach used in this study is qualitative, with in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, which are then analyzed through documentation and qualitative descriptive analysis. This study uses four indicators proposed by Hamalik (2001:166) which include the Village Head as a Catalyst, Facilitator, Problem Solver, and Communicator.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kinerja karyawan dan kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan masyarakat di Puskesmas Tonusu, kecamatan pamona puselemba. Kinerja karyawan dan kualitas pelayanan adalah dua faktor utama yang mempengaruhi kepuasan masyarakat, yang sangat penting untuk pengembangan sektor kesehatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang dimana melakukan observasi langsung, wawancara dengan petugas dan pasien, serta studi dokumen terkait standar operasional pelayanan.Hasil analisis berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan penelitian, observasi lapangan, serta wawancara dengan tenaga kesehatan di Puskesmas Desa Tonusu, diperoleh gambaran bahwa kinerja pelayanan kesehatan secara keseluruhan berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Hal ini terlihat dari ketertiban alur pelayanan, kedisiplinan petugas, kualitas manajemen internal, serta kemampuan puskesmas dalam merespons kebutuhan kesehatan masyarakat secara cepat dan tepat. Setiap unsur pelayanan berjalan sesuai dengan tugas pokok dan fungsi (tupoksi) masing-masing, baik pada layanan administrasi, perawatan, pemeriksaan medis, maupun kegiatan program kesehatan masyarakat. Kepatuhan terhadap SOP dalam setiap prosedur pelayanan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh tenaga kesehatan memahami dengan baik peran dan tanggung jawabnya.Dari sisi manajemen, Puskesmas Desa Tonusu menerapkan pola koordinasi yang sistematis dan berkesinambungan antar-unit layanan. Berbagai unit seperti poli umum, KIA/KB, gizi, imunisasi, farmasi, dan kesehatan lingkungan menjalankan tugasnya berdasarkan jadwal kerja yang terstruktur dengan baik. Kepala puskesmas secara berkala melaksanakan supervisi terhadap tenaga kesehatan, mengevaluasi mutu layanan, serta memastikan semua perangkat pendukung seperti obat, alat kesehatan, dan dokumen administrasi tersedia dengan memadai. Koordinasi ini diperkuat dengan adanya rapat internal bulanan yang bertujuan menyamakan pemahaman mengenai target program, capaian indikator, serta langkah tindak lanjut atas permasalahan yang muncul.Kepuasan masyarakat sebagai penerima layanan kesehatan menjadi indikator utama keberhasilan Puskesmas Tonusu. Respon masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa kinerja karyawan yang baik dan kualitas pelayanan yang tinggi berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kepercayaan dan kepuasan. Penelitian ini memberikan dasar empiris bagi Puskesmas Tonusu untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dan kinerja karyawan, sehingga dapat memberikan pelayanan kesehatan yang optimal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the administrative capabilities and performance of the Tonusu Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) management in facilitating the effective management of village business units. As a crucial element for local economic development, BUMDes is expected to have professional and transparent management. The method used in this study was qualitative through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document collection during Field Experience Practice (PPL). The findings of this study indicate that BUMDes management does not receive compensation, but still demonstrates quite good performance due to intrinsic motivation driven by moral responsibility and social engagement. On the other hand, several challenges are faced, including administrative deficiencies, limited transportation facilities, a shortage of management personnel, and low community discipline in the food security program. This situation affects the effective management of the chair, tent, and gas rental business unit, which generates an annual turnover of approximately IDR 500 million. This study concludes that the success of BUMDes is influenced not only by local economic potential but also heavily dependent on administrative capabilities, the quality of management performance, and community participation. These findings suggest that the village government should improve management, oversight, and human resource capacity to ensure the effective continuity of BUMDes operations.

Abstract

Keterlibatan masyarakat desa dalam proses politik merupakan salah satu indikator terciptanya demokrasi yang sehat. Namun, rendahnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang politik seringkali menghambat partisipasi aktif dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Luku, Kecamatan Dolo Barat, Kabupaten Sigi dengan tujuan memberikan pendidikan politik yang bersifat praktis dan aplikatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif dalam bentuk kegiatan pelatihan yang berisi pemberian pengetahuan, diskusi kelompok, dan simulasi musyawarah desa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terkait hak dan kewajiban politik, kesadaran kritis terhadap isu-isu pemerintahan, serta partisipasi aktif dalam forum musyawarah desa dan diharapkan partisipasi aktif dan sikap kritis mereka terhadap Pemilu dan Pilkada. Dengan demikian dapat dikemukakan, kegiatan pendidikan politik terbukti efektif dalam mendorong terciptanya masyarakat yang partisipatif, kritis, dan berdaya dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara.
