Abstract

Poetry is one of the literary works that has the principle of free expression. Through poetry, one can express many things by focusing on language as a meaning that can represent many things. One of them is Emha Ainun Nadjib's poetry, which is collected in the poetry anthology Rahman Rahim Cinta. The research conducted is on the author's worldview and social piety. It was found that there are five author's worldviews and also four social piety that have strong meaning in the process of creating works. This research was conducted through heuristic and hermeneutic data analysis and the study of literary sociology which is essentially a discipline that connects sociology with literature that has similar objects, namely humans in society, used as an approach, which is strongly supported by the theory of genetic structuralism in the search for meaning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat mengenai pentingnya literasi media dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran antara guru dan siswa di jenjang sekolah dasar. Guru memiliki akses terhadap berbagai jenis media pembelajaran yang beragam, sehingga mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik dan mendorong semangat serta pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan. Dalam hal ini, peran guru sebagai pendidik sangat vital dalam mengimplementasikan gerakan literasi media di sekolah. Guru tidak hanya bertugas menyampaikan materi, tetapi juga bertanggung jawab dalam membentuk karakter dan perilaku positif peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Melalui penerapan literasi media dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, siswa memperoleh kemudahan dalam memahami materi, menjadi lebih antusias dalam belajar, serta terasah kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreativitasnya.

Abstract

Down syndrome merupakan gangguan kelainan fisik dan mental yang berpengaruh pada kemampuan kognitif dan linguistik. Hal tersebut mempengaruhi pada komunikasi verbal dan komunikasi nonverbal. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk meneliti terkait kemampuan komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal dengan kajian psikolinguistik yang berfokus kepada anak down syndrome yang berkategori mampu latih serta mencakup kesanggupan leksikal dan gramatikalnya.. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik simak catat dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa anak penderita down syndrome mengalami keterlambatan dalam kemampuan leksikal dan gramatikalnya, seperti tidak mampu melafalkan kata dengan sempurna dan tidak mampu membentuk sebuah frasa, klausa, dan kalimat dengan tepat serta menitikberatkan peranan orangtua dalam pemberian stimulus yang baik pada anak penderita down syndrome. Sering melakukan komunikasi dan latihan-latihan pengucapan kata akan membantu proses kemampuan keterampilan berbahasanya. Hal ini berpengaruh pada kemampuan komunikasi verbalnya. Namun dalam kemampuan komunikasi nonverbal anak penderita down syndrome cenderung mampu memahami bahasa tubuh atau gestur dalam setiap interaksi.

Abstract

This article aims to assist elementary school teachers in teaching poetry writing skills. Writing poetry is often perceived as a challenging process that requires considerable time to implement. Moreover, writing instruction in general is frequently seen as complex due to the various cognitive demands it places on students. One of the main challenges lies in the stigma that the creative writing process must integrate both linguistic and non-linguistic elements to contribute to the cohesion of a text in an academically sound manner. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, focusing on the use of visual media in poetry writing instruction through a literature review. The use of images can support students, particularly at the elementary level, by offering a more engaging and innovative learning experience. Based on the analysis of 10 literature sources, visual media significantly enhance students’ poetry writing abilities. Therefore, this method may serve as an effective alternative for teachers in the instructional process and as a means to cultivate literary appreciation.

Abstract

This research focuses on examining the social values ​​in the poem Sujud by K.H. Ahmad Mustofa Bisri, or Gus Mus. In the poetry anthology Negri Meat, this research aims to describe the forms of social values ​​in Sujud poetry. The data collection method in this research uses descriptive qualitative using a sociological approach, especially in the social value aspect. The aim of the qualitative descriptive approach is to obtain information about the appropriate social values ​​in Sujud poetry. In this research, data analysis is used as a content analysis method. Data collection techniques were analyzed using heuristic and hermeneutic analysis. In the analysis of this study, results can be drawn from social values, responsibility, concern, religion, protest and justice. Meanwhile, the form of political values ​​is about struggle, persuasion, protest and struggle.

Abstract

Women are often used as symbols of life, but often experience violence and injustice, and are considered second-class creatures after men. The problems inherent in women actually make them a source of inspiration in literary works, because women have two contrasting sides. Literary works become a medium that can describe various aspects of women's lives. This research was conducted with a literature study method using a qualitative descriptive approach. Literature study is a research method that aims to obtain data and information through literature review, recording, and reviewing various reference books and other written sources. The purpose of this study is to identify the image of women and forms of gender injustice in the novel. The results show that the image of women can be described as meek, caring, tough, brave, easy to worry, responsible, and independent. Meanwhile, the forms of gender injustice found include marginalisation, subordination, stereotyping, and violence. In literary works, women are often used as main characters with various images reflected through their daily lives. The image of women is an interesting study because it reflects a diverse personality and is a source of inspiration. Gender injustice itself is a form of discrimination against men and women, but in reality, women are more often the victims, because there is still an assumption that women are weak creatures.

Abstract

This research uses a literature study method with a qualitative descriptive approach, in which the sources analysed are selected based on their relevance to the topic under study. Anthropology is understood as a science that examines human behaviour and culture in various aspects of life. In literary studies, anthropology is one of the approaches that focuses on analysing the cultural elements contained in a literary work. Literary work itself is a medium of expression used to convey feelings, emotions, ideas, and thoughts of the author through writing. Therefore, literature can be considered as a reflection of the social and cultural reality of society in a certain period. Although the anthropological approach to literature is still relatively new, it allows us to understand the various cultural values contained in a literary work. Literary anthropology studies how the culture of a society is represented in literary texts, including the values, traditions, customs, and social changes that occur in a particular community. Through literary anthropological analysis, we can understand the relationship between literary works and their socio-cultural context. Literature is not only a means of entertainment, but also has an important role in documenting and preserving cultural heritage. Literary works often illustrate how a society views the world, both in terms of belief systems, norms, and patterns of social interaction. Based on the results of the literature study obtained, the anthropology contained in literary works reflects a culture and life in a particular society and generation. Thus, anthropological studies in literature help reveal the dynamics of culture that continue to develop in human life.

Abstract

Semiotics is a branch of literary sciences that focuses on the study of signs. In literary works, poets often use signs and signifiers to enhance the beauty of their creations, making them more enjoyable for readers and listeners. However, the meanings and messages conveyed in these works can sometimes be difficult to understand, leaving the audience confused. Semiotics, as a discipline, helps simplify the process of interpreting a literary work, though it serves as only a foundational tool for understanding literature. Semiotics itself is the science that examines the signs within literary works, ensuring that readers and listeners grasp the true message intended by the poet. Studying these signs through semiotic analysis involves various methods, such as the descriptive method, which presents the objects and subjects under study as they are; the qualitative method, which is closely related to the descriptive method and involves collecting, organizing, and analyzing qualitative data; and the literature study method, which requires gathering relevant data or documents for research purposes. In conclusion, to fully comprehend the signs and derive the true meaning of a literary work through semiotic analysis, one must first understand these three methods, as explained by experts in the field.

Abstract

This research proposes the use of role-playing as an alternative method for teaching drama skills in elementary schools, employing a literature review methodology. The concept of role-playing is grounded in proven educational theories, particularly Lev Vygotsky's emphasis on social interaction in learning. Constructivist approaches and Jean Piaget's child development theory also provide relevant foundations for developing drama skills through role-playing. Drama skills play a crucial role in shaping students' characters, boosting confidence, and instilling moral values. Implementation challenges for teaching drama skills in elementary schools include teachers' lack of understanding, resource limitations, academic pressure, and concerns related to assessment. Nevertheless, the role-playing method offers significant potential in engaging students, enhancing creativity, and improving communication skills. By incorporating these aspects, role-playing emerges as an effective and efficient method for teaching drama skills at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This research aims to foster awareness of the deep meaning contained in the poem "Jeritan Perempuan yang Melawan" by Nolinia Zega regarding the figure of women portrayed in physical, psychological, and social aspects. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with heuristic and hermeneutic techniques to focus the analysis on the image of women. The results of this study show that the image of women described in this poem can be seen from three aspects, namely physical, psychological, and social aspects. In the physical aspect, women are always reviewed from their appearance set by society. On the psychological aspect, women often feel depressed and unhappy due to the demands of life that are not in accordance with their desires. In the social aspect, women are portrayed as always bound by norms and stigmas that require them to fulfill certain roles.
