This article examines thoughts of Prof. Dr. Mujamil Qomar, M.Ag. which expressly states that the success of Islamic education in the level of realityexpectations one of which is determined by the management of Islamic education that serves the task of advancing the implementation, implementation or application of Islamic education institutionally. Among Qomar's thoughts on the management of Islamic education that is pithy and deserves an in-depth study is the nature of Islamic education management and its implications, philosophical objects and praxis as well as the dimensions of Islamic education management, the characteristics and characteristics of Islamic education management, the difference between Islamic education management and education management , as well as about the existence and constraints of Islamic education management. Thought Qomar can be explored clearly in three works, namely Manajemen Pendidikan Islam: Strategi Baru Pengelolaan Lembaga Pendidikan Islam (Management of Islamic Education: New Strategy Management of Islamic Education Institutions), Dimensions of Management of Islamic Education, and Strategy of Islamic Education, as well as other works that are not directly related to the discussion of Islamic education management.Â

Abu Daud is a famous Islamic scholar in hadis field who has collected hadis in his book called Sunan Abi Daud. In addition, he also released many written works that we are now still able to read and study parts of them. Abu daud has got many appreciations from Islamic scholar either in the form of comment or praise because of his hadis books which are considered having good standard and quality. Some Islamic scholars, however, criticize his book for including several daif hadis.

Sayyed Hossein Nasr is one of the Muslem intellectuals who had been grown up in two condition, Islam classic and western. This condition had made the accumulations of his intellectual and integraty. In other side, intellectual as the effect of western educations had contributed to the values of his life. Nasr argued that human life must be based on the balance principle such as the balance of fulfilling bodily and spiritual needs. The true beattitude could not be fulfilled simply by bodily needs and conversely. Facing the globalization era, the Sufism offered which will not make any sense by offering the classical Sufism tradition. The values must be developed, adapted, reformulated, or reconstructed in current time. But it is still based on Sufism elements of humanity and transcendental. Sufisme is in esoteric dimension and the spiritual Islam tradition is expected to be particularly compatible and relevant to anyone who is in imperishable.

Taha Husain was an intellectuals figure who was very controversial with his ideas. He disclosed some reform idea that was considered “strange” and irrasional. According to him, to advance the moslem world, secularizing the education and religion must be implemented. The old Egypt and modern West must become role model how to develop moslem world. Religion could not be mixed with politic. religion must be separated from politic. To be the enlightened nation, the people who live in the country must be educated with standardized education. According to Taha Husain, Western education was a good model of education which can be implemented.

Murtada Muthahhari is a modern Moslem thinker who has progressive ideas. Beside he was so concern with religious disciplines; he also paid attention to modern thought. His interesting idea deals with historical materialism. In his analysis, he criticized the idea of Karl Marx that considered historical dynamic was determined by economic power, class determinism, and products advancement. According to Muthahhari, Islam views the objective and fate of history together with its evolution as the last struggle on the unbelief. The verse of al-Quran dealing with violence does not mean to settle the universal principles. Those verses do not describe the historical dynamic nor historical mechanism. Muthahhari was on the opinion that history was not only materalism but non materialism as well

Discourse on whether this universe was created from nothing (creatio ex nihilo) or from already existing material, has been a polemic along with the history of human civilization. This article is trying to present the process of creating the universe based on modern science and from the perspective of Muslim philosophers, particularly on emanation theory. According to Muslim philosophers, this universe was created from prime matter through the process of divine ta’aqqul, which later created reasons to manage materials of the universe. Emanation theory presents that God, the most sacred, has no direct relation to matters. God merely delegates to His reasons (emanation) to run the universe mechanism.

Sayyid Abu al-A’la Maududi was a prominent leader and important figure in Islamic resurrection in the 20 century. His Islamic thought became the keypoint of Islamic thought development. His works greatly influenced many scholars in many countries. Maududi had idea to make Islam as state ideology based on tauhid foundation. The sovereignity according to him absolutely belongs to God, people are just the executor of the sovereignity. Through this system, there will be the balance of life either in economic or sosio-politic. Economical system in Maududi’s thought must be balanced and aimed at making prosperity in society while the political system must refer to syariah.

Di tengah isu global, ternyata Islam semakin mampu mengukuhkan dirinya sebagai agama dan kekuatan ideologi yang patut diperhitungkan. Besarnya jumlah umat Islam di Prancis merupakan bukti nyata bahwa Islam merupakan agama universal yang dapat diterima oleh siapapun, tidak dibatasi oleh suku dan ras. Meski demikian, tantangan utama Islam di Prancis juga tidak kalah dahsyatnya, terutama datang dari mereka yang merasa terancam, baik dari aspek politik, ekonomi maupun budaya.

Lukman al-Hakim merupakan tokoh yang membuat konsep pendidikan dasar berdasarkan Al-Qur’an dan Hadits. Implikasi pendidikan Luqman al-Hakim meliputi unsur dan pendekatan pendidikan. Kedua faktor tersebut tidak terlepas dari aktivitas pendidikan, tujuan yang bersifat ukhrawi dan duniawi, serta penerapannya tidak ada perbedaan. Kepentingan ukhrawi maupun duniawi sama-sama penting, sehingga keduanya harus diwujudkan. Pendekatan pendidikan yang meliputi pendekatan filosofis, psikologis, dan religius terdapat dalam pendidikan Luqman al-Hakim yang memiliki peranan penting dalam mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan. Ketiga pendekatan itu memiliki dasar dan akar yang sangat kuat sebagai salah satu aspek yang harus menyertai proses pendidikan. Kisah Luqman al-Hakim memiliki implikasi yang positif terhadap dunia perkembangan pendidikan modern.

Religious awareness is one of core values that human being has to posses. It is because, through this awareness, human being can build the mutual understanding between the adherents of religion. In fact, many adherents cannot live together and in harmony. They get conflict due to religion they believed. They are very intolerant to see the diversity. It seems to something ignored or destroyed. This writing discloses some facts how religion potentially become conflict if it is not well understood or organized. Besides, this article also gives some solution how to overcome the conflict.
