Abstract

Abdurrahman Wahid, as stated by Greg Berton was a new modern thinker of modern Islam who pionered the Islamic movement based on cultural genuine. He who was popularly called Gusdur has ever become the president of Indonesia and abolished a number of racial desrcimination. According to him, Islam highly appreciates the difference among human being, as a part of sunnatullah. In his opinion, two schools of Islamic movement such as progressivism and traditionalism must be mixed in a good harmony.

Abstract

Islam had been spread out in South Kalimantan 180 years before M. Arsyad al-Banjari was born. It slowly developed because there is no ulama who pionered the Islamic development and spreading.  Morever Islam in that time was aculturated with local culture due the most people adhered Hindu, anismism, dynamism and “kaharingan”. This former religion or ism very influenced and coloured social life. It was reflected in their daily life.  Observing this fact. Al-Banjari feels responsible on this situiation. He made effort to improve the belief and ritual practice in Moslem community by spreading Islamic mission. Some ways were implemented among others; making Majelis Ta’lim, writing books, preaching and cadre preparation

Abstract

Ahmadiyah is one of theological schools in Islam. Its theological thinking controversy impacts on religious attitude of the society in common. Thus, they declare Ahmadiyah is deviant teaching and reject Ahmadiyah's concepts claiming that Ghulam Ahmad is a prophet, revelation acceptor, and Messiah as well as al-Masih al-Mau'ud. For this reason, Ahmadiyah has been undergoing many obstacles to spread its mission. in spite of rejecting its thelogical concept and mission movement, people in South Sulawesi do not reject the existence of Ahmadiyah's people and they also refuse to have physical violence to them. They, indeed, consider that Ahmadiyah's people should be protected and given their right to life. These amicable and tolerant attitudes are due to its core value of the cultures. Therefore Ahmadiyah could live well together with other communities in South Sulawesi.

Abstract

Ima>m al-Turmuz}i is a famous Islamic scholar in hadits area who has collected hadits in his book called Sunan al-Turmudzi. In addition, he also released many written works that we are still able to read and study parts of them for the moment. Imam al-Turmuzi has got many appreciations from Islamic scholars either in the form of comment or praise because of his hadits which are considered having good standard and quality. Some Islamic scholars, however, criticize his book for including several d}a>if hadits. Imam al-Turmu>z}i wrote terminology abwa>b and ba>b in its collation methodology.  He also introduced the terminology hadits hasan in his book al-Ja>mi.

Abstract

The research focuses on examining the dynamics of variants of Islamic thought in Muhammadiyah, especially progressive Islamic thought and conservative Islam. The main objective of this research is to identify how the contestation model of the two variants strengthens its hegemony. To achieve this goal, library research was carried out using qualitative-descriptive-analytical methods and utilizing two approaches, namely historical perspectives and sociological knowledge. Based on the available literature, it is found that two tendencies of thought in Muhammadiyah, namely Progressive Islamic thought and Conservative Islam, contradict each other in areas which in the context of Muhammadiyah are closely related to the ideological dimension, namely the methodology of thought and thought construction. Contestation in this aspect has implications for the emergence of a more practical contestation, namely the efforts to market their ideas and beliefs through organizational structural and cultural channels outside the organizational authority.

Abstract

Proses dari masa dewasa menjadi tua menyebabkan gangguan kognitif kepada kemampuan daya ingat lansia. Sebagai upaya untuk mengatasi kemunduran fungsi kognitif pada lansia yang dapat dilakukan tenaga keperawatan yaitu dengan melakukan terapi non farmakologis yaitu senam otak. Senam otak merupakan sejumlah gerakan sederhana yang dapat menyeimbangkan setiap bagian-bagian otak, dapat menarik keluar tingkat konsentrasi otak dan sebagian jalan keluar bagi bagian-bagian otak yang terhambat agar dapat berfungsi dengan maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh senam otak terhadap peningkatan fungsi kognitif pada lansia.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan rancangan penelitian pre eksperimental design menggunakan pendekatan one group pretest and posttest design dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling, maka ditentukan jumlah sampel yaitu 7 lansia dari 14 populasi yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipakai menggunakan kuesioner MMSE. 7 lansia diberikan intervensi senam otak 3 kali dalam seminggu dalam 2 minggu. Analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat dan teknik analisis yang digunakan Uji Paired Samples t-test.Hasil penelitian didapatkan dari hasil pengujian dengan analisis SPSS menggunakan data numerik yang diuji normalitas kemudian Uji Paired Samples t-test telah menunjukkan bahwa fungsi kognitif sebelum dan setelah diberikan senam otak, berdasarkan hasil uji Paired Samples T-Test diperoleh p value =,000 (p <0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara senam otak terhadap peningkatan fungsi kognitif pada lansia. Senam otak yang dilakukan lansia akan menstimulus bagian otak agar fungsi otak yang menurun dapat diregenerasi kembali sehingga   sel otak bisa bekerja dengan baik. Peningkatan fungsi kognitif dapat mencegah kemunduran menyeluruh fungsi intelektual, kognitif dan emosional lansia.

Abstract

Ibnu Miskawaih dijuluki sebagai bapak etika Islam. Ia telah mampu merumuskan dasar-dasar etika di dalam kitabnya Tahdzib al Akhlaq wa Thathir al A‘raq (PendidikanBudi dan Pembersihan Akhlak ). Sumber filsafat etika Ibnu Miskawaih berasal dari fisafat Yunani, peradaban Persia, ajaran syariat Islam dan pengalaman pribadi. Dalam pemikirannya mengenai etika, ia memulainya dengan menyelami jiwa manusia. Ia memandang bahwa ilmu jiwa memiliki keutamaan sendiri dibandingkan dengan ilmu-ilmu jiwa lainnya. Ajaran etika Ibnu Miskawaih berpangkal pada teori jalang tengah. Intinya menyebutkan bahwa keutamaan akhlak secara umum diartikan sebagai posisi tengah ekstrem kelebihan dan ekstrem kekurangan masing-masing jiwa manusia. Dengan demikian, menurut Ibnu Miskawaih bahwa akhlak merupakan keadaan jiwa yang mengajak sesorang untuk melakukan perbuatan tanpa dipikirkan dan diperhitungkan sebelumnya. Sehingga akhlak dapat dijadikan fitrah manusia dengan melakukan latihan-latihan yang terus menerus hingga menjadi sifat diri yang melahirkan akhlak yang baik.

Abstract

This paper reveals in-depth the concept of mahabbah based on Ibn 'Arabi's perspective. The type of research used in this paper was library research. This research revolved on studying the concept of Mahabbah according to Ibn 'Arabi by adjusting the qualitative research. The research method used by the author was descriptive with a philosophical approach. The Philosophical approach could also examine the structure of the basic ideas (fundamental ideas) formulated by the thinkers. Primary data sources were the works of Ibn 'Arabi, both in the form of books and papers. Secondary data sources were data in the form of books, papers, and articles relevant to the concept of Ibn 'Arabi, from various writings with the knowledge and concern about Ibn 'Arabi's thoughts, especially in the field of Sufism. The technique used by the author in collecting the data was the citation technique, which refers to quoting part or all of the data from various readings that relate to the problem studied. The writer carried out the data analysis. After collecting the data, the writer analyzed it based on the type, then connected one data to another. Next, interpreted the data based on the research principles, and described it using deductive and inductive thinking techniques. Based on Ibn 'Arabi's perspective, the results showed that mahabbah (love) could not be defined; love is difficult to understand. Love can only be found and lived in the deepest depths of the heart. However, it is undeniable that everyone can feel the beauty of love even if they cannot make an analogy of its ultimate. God loves His creatures as a form of manifestation of His al-wadud, al-rahman, al-rahim attributes. Love is the reason and motive for the universe's creation; It cannot separate Ibn' Arabi's theory about love from the doctrine of wahdat al-Wujud as the center of his Sufistic doctrine. It asserted that there are no lovers and beloved except Allah because all entities in nature are the manifestations (Tajalliyat) of the magnificence of Allah. Ibn 'Arabi said that the basis and cause of all love is magnificence. God loves his creatures because the creatures are magnificent. Meanwhile, humans love God because they see God’s magnificence. God is the great and the source of all fineness.

Abstract

The involvement in theological thought (kalam) during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia can be summarized into three groups. First, fatalism is the understanding of a society that believes that everything in this world is the totality of destiny and is the decree of Allah SWT. The second understanding is free will, believing in a person's freedom to choose between different plans and actions rather than waiting for fate to befall him. The third one is a central axis theology. Religious moderation can be understood as a view, attitude, or action that always takes the middle, fair, and non-extreme path in religion. Religious moderation should be understood as a balanced religious attitude between the practice of one's own religion (exclusive) and respect for the religious practices of other religions (inclusive).

Abstract

Pluralism is an understanding of mutual respect and understanding of differences in people's lives. Nurcholish Madjid's thoughts are considered relevant for discussion. As a figure to be reckoned with in Indonesia, his existence is considered to represent the rise of reform thinking in the archipelago. His thoughts on pluralism are considered a necessity associated with the condition of religious communities in Indonesia. The statement is based on the Indonesian population's condition of religious pluralism. If the pluralism of religions adhered to is not glued together with a pluralistic perspective, then the plurality of religions has the potential to trigger conflict. This research aims to find out the thoughts of Kalam Nurcholish Madjid on Pluralism. The method used is literature study by taking references from various sources such as printed and digital books, as well as research-related journals. The results of the study show that there are three approaches used by Nurcholis Madjid in formulating the concept of Pluralism, namely first, the Tawheed approach, namely the return of human dignity and status back to its position as a creature of Allah. Humans look up "up" only to God, to fellow human beings must look in a series of equality. Second, the Philological Approach, namely the redefinition of the meaning of Islam or more precisely the expansion of the definition of Islam as an attitude of surrender, submission, and obedience to God Almighty. The third is the Historical Approach, which is the value or spirit contained in that history. In this case, every adherent of religion needs to take as an example the values of openness of the people of Medina at that time, not to take the form of the government of the Prophet Muhammad in Medina to be applied today.
