Abstract

Banana is one of the commodities that have nutritional value and high economic value. In order to produce a nice fruit and a high economic value, these plants must grow well. The Factors that can cause the plant to grow well, one of them is water. Water is used by plants, to grow root, stem, leaves and also maturation the fruit. When the plant doesn’t have water, growth will be stunted even death. In addition to deficiencies, excess water on the plant can also cause spoilage. Therefore, needed a tool which can watering plants, especially banana plant. The tool can be made using Arduino. Arduino is brand platform microcontroller that can control various sensors from soil moisture sensor, humidity sensor even it can apply the concept of the Internet of Things. The purpose of this research is to create a prototype automatic watering tool uses concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) to find out the condition of banana plant in real-time. The results obtained, the automatic watering tool successfully built and functional according the design, starting from the arduino that can control the soil moisture sensor to read current soil moisture, insert the data into the database, and the pump doesn’t on, because the moisture didn’t under 41% or in dry condition during the research. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai Technology Contribution Coefficient (TCC) dan nilai kontribusi komponen teknologi yang meliputi technoware, humanware, infoware, dan orgaware di PT Z dengan komoditas utama kopi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengamatan terhadap perusahaan dan wawancara kepada 10 orang karyawan dan 4 orang trainee. Pengolahan data menggunakan metode Teknometrik didukung metode SMART (Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique) dan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai TCC PT Z adalah 0,7255. Berdasarkan nilai TCC, PT Z termasuk klasifikasi sangat baik dan berdasarkan tingkat teknologi memiliki tingkat teknologi modern. Nilai kontribusi komponen teknologi orgaware mempunyai kontribusi yang paling tinggi (0,9444), kemudian infoware (0,8241), humanware (0,6283), dan terkecil technoware (0,4954). Hasil diagram posisi analisis SWOT komponen technoware, infoware, orgaware pada kuadran I, sedangkan komponen humanware pada kuadran II. Hasil penilaian kontribusi teknologi ini dikaitkan dengan pilihan strateginya bahwa sekalipun perusahaan kopi, dalam penerapan teknologi perlu siaga menyesuaikan kecepatan perubahan teknologi yang cepat. Upaya penyesuaian ini sangat dibantu dengan sangat terbukanya ketersediaan informasi teknologi. Keadaan ini bisa menjadi rujukan bagi perusahaan sejenis.Kata kunci: analisis SWOT, Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique, Technology Contribution Coefficient, teknometrik AbstractThis study aims to determine the value of Technology Contribution Coefficient (TCC) and the value of the contribution component technologies include technoware, humanware, infoware, and orgaware in PT Z where coffee becomes a commodity business. The research method used is an in-depth observation of the company and interviews with 10 employees and 4 trainees. Data processing used technometric supported by the SMART method and SWOT analysis. Based on the research results the Value of TCC PT Z was 0.7255. Based on the value of TCC, PT Z includes good classification and based on the level of technology has a modern technology. The value of orgaware contributes the highest (0.9444), infoware (0.8241), humanware (0.6283) and the smallest technoware (0.4954). SWOT analysis of the diagram position, technoware, infoware, orgaware in quadrant I, meanwhile humanware in quadrant II. The result of this technology contribution assessment associated with the chosen strategy that even coffee companies, in the application of technology need to be alert to adjust the speed of rapid technological change. This adjustment effort is greatly assisted by the high availability of information technology. Abstract

Currently, Indonesia is exporter of the moringa seed. Moringa seed is a plant which is contain a vegetable oil with many benefits, especially for health. In addition to the utilization of moringa seeds used as vegetable oils, the seeds of this moringa as a natural coagulant, supported by its antioxidant is suitable combined in its use as a natural coagulant on tofu. The analytical method used in the antioxidant content testing using DPPH method is an easy, fast and sensitive method using DPPH free radical (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrilhidrazil). In antioxidant analysis required materials of extract, which high yield and purity consisting of extraction method of multilevel maceration extraction with 3 solvents (n-hexane, 70% of acetone and 96% of ethanol) 1: 3 solvent and solvent ratio and Ultrasonic Assisted Extraction (UAE). The result of the research showed that the extraction process using multilevel maceration extraction with high yield and purity. Determination of extract concentration for IC50 calculation measured by using a spectrophotometer so that the percentage of inhibition is 722,01 which concentration needed to 50 % can inhibit free radical in antioxidants analysis. The impact of research results is utilized optimally on extract moringa seeds with many benefits especially for health.

Abstract

This research aims to identify current condition and rules of lean manufacturing (LM) implementation in Agro- Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The current condition aspects are identification of waste, LM techniques and methods, the reason and barriers on LM implementation in SMEs. Exploring the behavior of SMEs on implementing LM which supporting to generate productivity and efficiency on production system are important to be identified. Initially, LM concept are implemented in manufacturing industry especially in automotive industry. Nowadays this concept has been implemented by other sector included Small and Medium-size Enterprise. However, it has still a few number of Agro-SMEs implementing LM concept. The data from Indonesia Statistic revealed that the proportion of SME- agro based are in the total of SME in Indonesia. It insinuated that Agro-SMEs has a significant potency for national economic if their productivity increase. LM providing chance to improve productivity and efficiency in. Many research had conducted to explore LM implementation in various sector. Unfortunately, Research on LM implementation in Agro-SMEs has still a few number.  Research was conducted in 12 Agro-SMEs around Sumedang and Bandung. Selected SMEs referring to the use of horticulture and plantation commodity as a raw material. The data collected by field observation and deep interview to the owner, management-level, and employer. The data presented through description of qualitative and quantitative analysis. The result shows that the motion becomes a dominant waste in SMEs at 30%, while over production activity contributes waste at 22%, waiting aspect at 17%, inventory at 13 %, defect and transportation at 9%. Motion generates negative impact to work productivity and effectivity, for instance increase of time consume unimportant activity at work, WIP of product, cost for labor, and cost production.  In terms of Method and techniques implemented in Agro-SME, Continuous improvement (Kaizen) and 5 S outnumbered to other methods and techniques at 50%. Other method and techniques such as Teamwork and 5Why had contributed at 41.6%, TQM and Work standardization at 33.33%, and Jidoka at 16.67% as well as Kanban system, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and SMED 0%. In terms of the reason on implementing LM, Improving the quality of product becoming a larger proportion which affecting the LM implementation at 36%. In other hand, knowledge outnumbered to others aspect. It contributes 35% as the most barrier factor on LM implementation.

Abstract

Small Medium Enterprises (SME) in food was contributed 13,15% on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) 2013. However, SMEs in food had the problems in the management organization that could affect the product competitiveness. The local SMEs in food is less competitive compared with the similar foreign overseas product. In order to anticipate the negative impact of the broader market, the competitiveness measurement was needed to be conducted on understanding the strength of SMEs in food. Competitive measurement can be done by creating web application to reduce measuring process. This research using Designing methods (system engineering) using diamond porter model as competitiveness measurement method of SME in foods. Web application functioned as SME in foods grading, competitiveness weighing, SME in foods index measurements and City SMEs index measurements. Index value that were yielded grouped into three categories which were high, medium, and low. There was a color indicator on index value display that functioned to classifying competitiveness index value. ID was needed to access this web application, those things intended to guard the safety of data contained in this web application.

Abstract

As a producer of lettuce plants, the company X (as a case object)  needs to improve the information system more effectively and efficiently in order to support the increase of production. Therefore, it is necessary to build a management information system that provides information quickly and accurately. The implementation of this research using Waterfall Method. This research begins with the analysis of the needs of all users, then designing data flow diagrams, designing databases using SQL, entity relationship diagrams, normalization, the latter is the design of information structures including user interfaces. After that done programming activities using PHP programming language. This app is verified and validated. The information needs of the company are as follows: There are four parties as users of the information system; Information should be submitted and accessible as soon as possible; The manager can view the information of each division; To each division and vice versa; Managers can monitor the service level of marketing division and division of production; Each division can manage data; There needs to be model information about the agenda of each division. The app provides a shared menu for admins and users. Users are managers, marketing divisions, production divisions, and home packaging divisions. Each user has the same menu ie homepage, schedule, and reports. As for the manager plus menu monitoring. The final application prototype gives users satisfactory results. Each user is also given a menu to manage the database with features: inserting, searching, editing, and deleting data. The database comes with a dynamic and flexible user interface as a medium of data exchange and information between relevant divisions and media support in decision-making at the managerial level. Keywords— lettuce production,  lettuce production database, production information system

Abstract

Information and communication technology (ICT) can improve productivity and reduce costs / expenses in the agricultural sector and rural development. Jatinangor is one of sub-district on Sumedang with the highest economic growth, where the agricultural sector ranks third in contributing the economy. The use of ICT for farmers in Jatinangor it was not known the degree to which capable of being applied, then need to know the level of use of ICT by Jatinangor farmers. Method used in this research was descriptive method that described the data to determine size of the ICT usage level. Data is formulated into index numbers of ICT usage level or Information and Communication Technology Usage Level Quotient Index which was obtained by formulating an operational definition of variable using analysis of UNDP index calculation and Location Quotient analysis. The results of the study showed that the measurement of the ICT usage level covering by 4 indicators: farmers characteristic, farmers environment, ICT characteristic, and farmers behavior. Farmers group has the highest of the ICT use in Jatinangor is Harapan I, in Bina Karya Mandiri, Cileles Village with an index of 1,1380, and ICT absorption level of 50 %. Farmers group has the lowest of the ICT use is Jeruk Mipis, in Mulya Jaya, Cipacing Village with an index of 0,9156, and ICT absorption level of 36 %.

Abstract

Saat ini Indonesia menjadi salah satu negara pengekspor biji kelor. Terkait manfaatnya yang besar di pasaran, minyak kelor memiliki harga jual yang tinggi terutama di pasar bebas internasional. Nilai ekspor minyak biji kelor sebesar 129.839 ton dan mengalami pertumbuhan rata-rata 15% setiap tahunnya. Selain pemanfaatan biji kelor yang dijadikan minyak nabati, bagian biji dari tanaman kelor ini juga dapat dimanffaatkan sebagai bahan koagulan alami yang membantu proses koagulasi. Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemanfaatan biji kelor sebagai koagulan alami dengan nilai tambah antioksidan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengujian aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode DPPH dengan metode ekstraksi maserasi menggunakan tiga pelarut berbeda. Metode ekstraksi ini dipilih karena memiliki tingkat kemurnian ekstrak yang sangat tinggi. Perlakuan yang diberikan berupa perbedaan kosentrasi koagulan. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan nilai IC50, maka didapatkan nilai IC50 tertinggi adalah sampel D dan nilai IC50 terendah adalah sampel B ( B < A < C < D). Nilai IC50 yang rendah menunjukkan bahwa sampel tersebut memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang tinggi, nilai IC50 yang paling rendah adalah sampel B, yaitu 722,01 ppm sehingga dapat dikatakan jika sampel B memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang paling tinggi dibandingkan dengan ketiga sampel lainnya. Sampel B adalah tahu yang dibuat dengan konsentrasi biji kelor 50 % untukproses koagulasi tahu.Kata Kunci: antioksidan, DPPH, biji kelor

Abstract

Suhu dan kelembaban relatif (RH) adalah variabel penting dalam budidaya tanaman di rumah kaca, serta dapat dikendalikan melalui proses pendinginan evaporatif dengan menggunakan pompa fog cooling system, tetapi prosesnya masih dilakukan secara manual. Penelitian ini adalah merancang alat pengendali suhu dan RH secara otomatis, merancang sistem monitoring melalui website, dan dapat menurunkan suhu dan meningkatkan RH. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode rekayasa. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa alat pengendali suhu dan RH dapat menyalakan pompa fog cooling system secara otomatis. Website dapat menampilkan data monitoring. Jika intensitas cahaya matahari di luar rumah kaca (So) lebih besar dari 800 Wm-2, suhu dapat diturunkan di bawah 35 oC dan RH dapat dinaikkan di atas 60%. Jika So 400 Wm-2 – 800 Wm-2 dan lebih kecil dari 400 Wm-2, suhu tidak dapat diturunkan dibawah 30 oC, tetapi RH dapat dinaikkan di atas 60%.Kata kunci: Fog Cooling System, Monitoring, Pengendalian Iklim Mikro, Rumah Kaca, Website

Abstract

Pakar perancangan elektrifikasi bangunan pertanian belum tersedia, karena itu perancangan system pakar diperlukan. Penelitian yang berfokus pada perancangan perangkat lunak system pakar (FABEL) untuk merancang system elektrikasi dalam bangunan pertanian pra-panen dan pascapanen seperti untuk pengairan pencahayaan dan pendinginan. Metode rekayasa digunakan untuk membuat FABEL yang menyimpan pengetahuan basis dalam format teks dengan ekstensi*.clp dan bersifat open source dan diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan CLIPS. Hasil rancangan adalah sistem pakar Shell yang bersifat open source. Penggunaan elektrifikasi dalam bangunan pertanian merupakan cara yang efektif untuk meningkatkan produksi pertanian. Pengetahuan dalam perancangan elektrifikasi dan bangunan pertanian merupakan hal penting untuk membangun sebuah bangunan pertanian. Untuk merancang sebuah bangunan pertanian dan elektrifikasinya dibutuhkan seorang pakar, tetapi sulit untuk ditemukan. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pembangunan FABEL, sebuah perangkat lunak sistem pakar yang digunakan untuk merancang elektrifikasi dalam bangunan pertanian. Dalam bangunan pertanian pra-panen, FABEL digunakan untuk merancang elektrifikasi untuk pencahayaan, pendinginan dan pengairan, sedangkan dalam bangunan pertanian pasca panen digunakan untuk merancang elektrifikasi untuk pendinginan. Akuisisi data untuk membangun basis pengetahuan dilakukan oleh perekayasa pengetahuan. Basis pengetahuan tersebut disimpan dalam format teks dengan ekstensi *.clp. Sistem pakar FABEL diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan CLIPS yang merupakan shell sistem pakar yang bersifat open source. Kata kunci: Sistem pakar, Bangunan pertanian, Elektrifikasi, CLIPS
