Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ideology of the Muhammadiyah movement as a normative and operational foundation in conducting da‘wah, social activities, and organizational management amid the dynamics of modern society. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research. The findings indicate that the ideology of the Muhammadiyah movement is rooted in the principles of tawhid, amar ma‘ruf nahi munkar, and tajdid, which affirm Muhammadiyah’s character as a modernist and progressive Islamic movement. This ideology is not merely normative in nature but also functions as a practical framework for the development of charitable enterprises in the fields of education, health, social services, and community empowerment. Furthermore, Muhammadiyah’s ideology is dynamic and adaptive to contemporary challenges, including globalization, value disruption, and technological advancement. However, the study also identifies challenges in the internalization of ideology, particularly related to cadre formation and the strengthening of ideological commitment at the grassroots level. Therefore, the reinforcement and revitalization of Muhammadiyah’s ideology through sustainable cadre development are considered strategic necessities to ensure the continuity and relevance of the movement in the future.

Abstract

This research discusses “The Zakat Fund Management System at the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Palu City.” The main problems are divided into several subtopics: (1) how the zakat collection system is implemented by BAZNAS Palu City, (2) how zakat distribution is carried out in Palu City, and (3) what obstacles and efforts are made by BAZNAS Palu City in managing zakat. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources consist of primary and secondary data, while data analysis is conducted through stages of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to produce systematic findings. The results show that zakat fund management by BAZNAS Palu City has been carried out effectively by the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) and its distribution through various programs such as Palu Sejahtera, Palu Cerdas, Palu Bertakwa, Palu Sehat, and other initiatives. In its implementation, BAZNAS Palu City faces several challenges but continues to make efforts to overcome them. It is recommended that BAZNAS Palu City enhance its efforts to raise public awareness about the importance and benefits of paying zakat through various media, such as social media, the official BAZNAS website, and direct outreach activities, as well as expand the scope of its programs to increase the number of beneficiaries in Palu City.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an indoor air quality monitoring device that includes particulate matter (PM1, PM2.5, PM10), carbon monoxide (CO), and carbon dioxide (CO2) based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The device is designed to detect particle and gas concentrations accurately and in real-time, thereby helping users improve indoor air quality. The research method involves developing the device design using particulate matter sensors PMS5003, gas sensors MQ-7 and MH-Z19, temperature and humidity sensors DHT11, and ESP8266 microcontroller to process data. The data from sensor measurements are displayed visually using graphs on the ThingSpeak dashboard. The results show that the developed monitoring device can detect particle and gas concentrations with measurement deviation percentages of 16.34% (PM2.5), 7.71% (PM10), 24.90% (CO2), 3.40% (temperature), and 5.67% (humidity). Meanwhile, for CO gas measurement, further calibration of the used sensor is required
