Abstract

ABSTRACT According to the World Health Organization (WHO), perineal wounds in childbirth affect 2.7 million cases worldwide, a number projected to rise to 6.3 million by 2050. In Indonesia, 75% of mothers who give birth vaginally experience perineal rupture. Among 1,951 spontaneous births, 57% of mothers require perineal sutures due to episiotomy or spontaneous tears. The healing of perineal wounds can be supported by non-pharmacological therapies, one of which is the use of red betel leaf gel. The purpose of this research was to prove the effect of red betel leaf gel on perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent groups design. The sample consisted of 30 postpartum mothers with second-degree perineal wounds, selected through simple random sampling. The participants were divided into two groups: an intervention group received red betel leaf gel treatment and a control group treated with 10% Povidone-Iodine. Perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers was assessed using the REEDA score. The statistical test used in this study is the Mann-Whitney test. Giving red betel leaf gel has an effect on perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers. There is a difference in REEDA scores between the administration of red betel leaf gel compared to Povidone Iodine 10% treatment with p-value 0,000. Red betel leaf gel has an effect on perineal wound healing in postpartum women. It is suggested that postpartum mothers should use red betel leaf gel regularly according to the recommended dose. Keywords: Perineal Wound, Post Partum Mothers, Red Betel Leaf Gel.  ABSTRAK Luka perineum pada ibu bersalin menurut World Health Organization (WHO) terdapat 2,7 juta kasus yang diperkirakan akan meningkat menjadi 6,3 juta pada tahun 2050. Abstract

ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by elevated blood glucose levels due to impairedinsulin secretion or insulin resistance. In addition to physiological factors, psychological conditions such as stress canalso contribute to increased blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. One approach toreducing stress and controlling blood glucose levels is through relaxation therapy. The innovation of a Muscle Relaxer Massage (MRM)device equipped with a blood glucose sensor was developed as a relaxation therapy that provides a massage effect while simultaneously monitoring blood glucose levels in real time. This study aimed to determine the effect of using the Muscle Relaxer Massage device and the combination of Muscle Relaxer Massage with Progressive Muscle Relaxation on reducing stress levels and blood glucose levels in patients with type 2diabetes mellitus. This study used a Research and Development (RD) method with a Pre-Post Test with Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 66 respondents who were divided into three groups: the Muscle Relaxer Massage (MRM) group, the Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) group, and the combination group of MRM and PMR. The intervention was conducted for two weeks with a frequency of three sessions per week, each lasting 30 minutes.Stress levels were measured using the DASS-42 questionnaire, while blood glucose levels were measured using the Easy Touch GCU glucometer. The results showed that all groups experienced a decrease in stress levels and bloodglucose levels after the intervention with p  0.05, indicating a significant difference between pre-test and post-test values. The most optimal reduction occurred in the group receiving the combination of Muscle Relaxer Massage and Progressive Muscle Relaxation. In conclusion, the sensor-based Muscle Relaxer Massage is effective in reducing stress levels and blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and has the potential to be used as a complementary therapy in the management of the disease. Keywords: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Muscle Relaxer Massage, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Stress, Blood Glucose Level.

Abstract

The identification of diseases in betta fish based on visual symptoms remains a challenge, particularly for beginners who lack experience in recognizing disease characteristics. This study aims to implement an image-based MobileNetV2 architecture as a diagnostic support system to detect dropsy and popeye diseases in betta fish that have already exhibited visual symptoms. The dataset used in this study consists of 600 betta fish images divided into three classes: healthy, dropsy, and popeye, with 200 images in each class, collected from the internet. Data preprocessing was conducted through image ratio adjustment, normalization, and data augmentation to increase data variability. A transfer learning approach was applied by freezing most layers of the MobileNetV2 feature extractor and fine-tuning several of the final layers. Model evaluation was performed using 5-Fold Cross Validation to ensure experimental stability and reproducibility. The best model from each fold was then combined using an ensemble method based on average probability to improve prediction performance on the test dataset. Experimental results show that the average 5-Fold Cross Validation accuracy reached 74.71% with a standard deviation of ±4.57%, while the Macro-F1 score achieved ±74.43%. The ensemble approach produced a test accuracy of 85.56% with balanced classification performance across all classes. Grad-CAM visualizations indicate that the model is able to focus on image regions relevant to disease symptoms. These findings demonstrate that the MobileNetV2 architecture is effective as an image-based diagnostic support tool for betta fish diseases.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG), launched by the Indonesian government in 2025, has generated diverse public responses on social media, particularly on YouTube as an open digital discussion space. This study aims to analyze public perception of the MBG program through sentiment classification of YouTube comments using the Multinomial Naïve Bayes algorithm combined with Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) weighting. The dataset consists of 1,082 comments categorized into three sentiment classes: negative, neutral, and positive. The data distribution reveals significant class imbalance, with negative sentiment dominating at 70.61%. The baseline model achieved an accuracy of 70.67% with a macro F1-score of 27.60%, indicating bias toward the majority class. To address this imbalance, Random Oversampling (ROS) and Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) were applied. Although overall accuracy decreased to approximately 51% after resampling, the macro F1-score improved to 36.24% (SMOTE) and 37.09% (ROS), indicating enhanced performance in detecting minority classes. In the context of public policy evaluation, improved sensitivity to minority sentiment is considered more representative than high but biased accuracy. These findings highlight the importance of handling class imbalance in social media–based sentiment analysis for public policy monitoring.

Abstract

Digital transformation in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) holds a specific urgency as these institutions face the challenge of integrating administrative governance modernization with the preservation of salaf traditions, a dilemma rarely found in general formal education. Resource limitations and preference differences among leaders and administrators often trigger strategic deadlocks. This study aims to determine sustainable digitalization strategies at Pondok Pesantren YPMI Al-Firdaus Semarang by integrating the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and Borda Count. The TOPSIS model is utilized to objectively evaluate the technical feasibility of seven criteria, while BORDA facilitates quantitative deliberation to accommodate the preferences of five decision-makers. The analysis results indicate that alternative A1 (Digitalization of Administrative Management) becomes the main priority with a relative closeness value of 0.738 and a BORDA consensus score of 8.7664. This figure significantly outperforms other alternatives, proving that the improvement of basic administration is the most urgent and mutually agreed-upon foundation before the pesantren advances to more complex digitalization. Although this study is on a local scale, the integration of these methods proves effective in mapping social and technical compromises, and can be adapted by other pesantren with similar characteristics.

Abstract

Perineal wounds following vaginal delivery are common and may lead to pain, infection, and delayed healing, reduced maternal quality of life. Green betel leaves (Piper betle L.) possess antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant that may promote wound healing, while spray gel formulations offer hygienic application and improved drug distribution. This study compared the effectiveness of green betel leaf spray gel and conventional gel in promoting perineal wound healing. A true experimental pretest-posttest study was conducted using 36 female Mus musculus with induced perineal wounds randomly allocated to spray or conventional gel groups (n =18 each). Perineal wound healing was assessed using REEDA scores on days 1, 3, 5, and 7. Data were analyzed using Friedman and Mann–Whitney U tests. Both formulations significantly improved wound healing over time. However, the spray gel demonstrated significantly greater improvement than the conventional gel, with a higher mean ∆REEDA score (5.28 ± 0.575 vs 4.67 ± 0.840, p = 0.020), indicating greater reductions in wound severity.  Green betel leaf spray gel was more effective than conventional gel in promoting perineal wound healing in mice. Its hygienic, non-contact application and superior healing performance support its potential as a topical intervention for postpartum perineal care, warranting further clinical evaluation.
