Abstract

This study aimed to determine the implementation of learning, students' cognitive learning outcomes, and students' responses after implementing Heyzine Flipbook-based digital teaching materials on poultry-based dishes at SMKN 4 Bojonegoro. This quantitative study employed a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design (pre-experimental) involving 36 students from Class X Culinary 1 and 35 students from Class X Culinary 2. Data were collected through observation, tests, and questionnaires, and analyzed using quantitative/statistical analysis, the N-Gain test, and the Paired Sample t-Test. The results showed that the learning implementation was categorized as very good. The average score increased from 70.00 to 75.00 in Class X Culinary 1 and from 60.00 to 85.00 in Class X Culinary 2. The Paired Sample t-Test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of <0.001, indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. Students' responses ranged good. Therefore, the implementation of Heyzine Flipbook-based digital teaching materials supported the improvement of students' cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine of implementing STEM-based instructional videos on students’ cognitive learning outcomes at SMK Negeri 1 Dlanggu. This study employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection included observations, learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest), and student response questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of learning based on the observation of teacher activities reached 97.03% and student activities reached 98.44%, both categorized as very good; (2) students' cognitive learning outcomes improved, as indicated by the increase in the average pretest score from 70.88 to 88.24 in the posttest, with an N-Gain value of 0.58 (moderate category), and the Wilcoxon test showed a significance value of 0.000, indicating a significant effect; and (3) students' responses to the implementation of STEM-based learning videos reached 92.24%, categorized as very good

Abstract

Jam is a semi-solid product made from sugar and fruit. California papaya has the potential to be developed into jam due to its abundant availability, sweet taste, soft texture, and pectin content, which aids in gel formation. Papayas have a short shelf life and spoil quickly, especially if California papayas remain unsold for too long due to their higher price compared to other varieties; therefore, they need to be processed into jam with the addition of bilimbi as a source of citric acid and to impart a distinctive flavor. One innovation to prevent papaya waste is to process it into jam by adding bilimbi as a source of citric acid and to provide a distinctive aroma and flavor. This study aims to determine the effect of adding bilimbi (Averrhoa bilimbi) on the acceptability of California papaya (Carica papaya) jam in terms of taste, aroma, color, and bilimbi fruit added. Data analysis was performed using the Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney tests, with results indicating that the addition of bilimbi had a significant effect on the acceptability of the color, aroma, and taste of California papaya jam, whereas it had no significant effect on consistency.
