Abstract

Pemuda memiliki peran strategis dalam pembangunan masyarakat, termasuk melalui keterlibatannya dalam organisasi Karang Taruna. Di Kelurahan Tenggilis Kauman Surabaya, Karang Taruna aktif dalam melestarikan seni hadroh al-banjari, namun menghadapi tantangan seperti lemahnya kepemimpinan dan manajemen organisasi. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas manajerial dan kepemimpinan anggota Karang Taruna melalui pelatihan yang dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR). Pelatihan mencakup materi teori, simulasi organisasi, dan praktik penyusunan rencana kerja. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terhadap prinsip dasar manajemen dan kepemimpinan, yang tercermin dari struktur organisasi yang lebih terarah dan program kerja yang sistematis. Pelatihan ini menjadi langkah awal dalam penguatan peran Karang Taruna sebagai agen perubahan sosial serta pelestari seni budaya lokal.

Abstract

The implementation of UMKM labeling to provide taste or interest by looking at the labels that have been prepared by the service teams for UMKM Rowo Gempol Village Pasuruan, using the ABCD (asset based communities development) method, seeing from the sales location is quite crowded and from several markets are very interesting and many opportunities because es jaran sellers are very rarely sold by UMKM. The implementation of this labeling took place at the Ngopak Market, Lekok District, Pasuruan, with the aim of further increasing the development of UMKM in Pasuruan. Great opportunities are actually wide open for UMKM Rowo Gempol Village if the promotion strategy is carried out properly. Developing a distribution network, both locally and internationally, can be one way to expand the market. The implementation of the promotion strategy through the creation of product banners and stickers has had a significant impact on increasing the visibility and competitiveness of UMKM in Rowo Gempol Village. , the evaluation conducted after the activity showed that the use of visual promotional media such as banners and stickers had a positive long-term impact. Rowo Gempol Village's UMKM products are now better known, not only locally but also among consumers from outside the region who are interested in the unique and quality products from this village

Abstract

Perawatan jenazah adalah tindakan yang perlu untuk dipelajari karena dalam agama islam hukumnya adalah wajib apabila tidak terdapat orang yang melaksanakan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang perawatan jenazah secara teori dan meningkatkan pemahaman tentang perawatan jenazah secara praktek di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Mushofa Desa Tambak Lekok dan MTs Darun Najah Desa Tampung Lekok Pasuruan. Riset dasar aktivitas pengabdian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa santri di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Mushofa Desa Tambak Lekok dan siswa MTs Darun Najah Desa Tampung Lekok Pasuruan meningkat pemahaman tentang perawatan jenazah teori serta praktek.

Abstract

In Ngaresrejo Village, TPQ Al-Ikhlas managed to overcome the challenge of a limited number of teachers by using the Iqro' method which is not only interesting but also adapted to the characteristics of students. By utilizing the ABCD (Asset Based Communities Development) approach model in community development, TPQ Al-Ikhlas is able to maximize potential by focusing on its assets, namely the significant number of students. The TPQ learning program has the main objective of improving religious understanding, and the results are seen through the students' increased insight into Arabic writing, recitation of Hijaiyah letters, as well as memorization of daily prayers, short letters, and prayer recitations. By successfully implementing this method, TPQ has not only overcome the limited number of teachers, but also made a positive contribution to improving the religious knowledge and practical skills of its students.

Abstract

Problem Based Learning adalah suatu pendekatan pembelajaran dimana siswa belajar melalui proses penyelesaian masalah yang nyata dan kompleks. Penelitian ini berlatar belakang di SMAN 1 Waru Sidoarjo. Ketika proses pembelajaran di kelas, banyak siswa yang kurang memperhatikan guru dan mengantuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran guru dalam implementasi pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan dampaknya terhadap minat belajar siswa di SMAN 1 Waru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, serta analisis dokumen terkait perencanaan dan pelaksanaan Problem Based Learning. Pembelajaran berbasis masalah terbukti dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian peran guru PAI dalam meningkatkan minat belajar antara lain relevansi, variasi dalam metode pengajaran, memberikan motivasi, mengajak siswa tidak hanya berfikir materi yang ada dibuku saja. Peran guru PAI dalam implementasi Problem Based Learning sebagai fasilitator yang mengarahkan siswa dalam proses pemecahan masalah, menyediakan sumber belajar dan mendorong kolaborasi antar siswa. Minat siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah antara lain mereka lebih kritis dan mereka lebih semangat dalam menggali permasalahan disekitar mereka. Siswa banyak yang menunjukkan minat yang besar dalam mencari informasi dari berbagai sumber seperti buku, artikel atau internet, minat siswa dalam diskusi dan kerja kelompok juga meningkat

Abstract

This paper critically examines the book Marriage Guidance for Prospective Brides and Grooms published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia by highlighting the absence of integration of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the construction of family education. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach based on content analysis of the substance of the book's material. The results of the study indicate that the book emphasizes administrative, psychological, and reproductive health aspects, but does not yet present a systematic framework for family education based on PAI values. The concept of family education, both the relationship between husband and wife, wife and husband, and both towards children, is not formulated as a continuous pedagogical process. In fact, from an Islamic perspective, the family is the first madrasah (al-madrasah al-ūlā) for the formation of children's faith, worship, and morals. In addition, the book does not include procedures, stages, or strategies for resolving family conflicts that are structured as an effort to achieve a sakinah family. The absence of this normative-educational framework has implications for weak theological and pedagogical foundations in building a family oriented towards Islamic values. Therefore, it is necessary to reconstruct the guidance materials for prospective brides and grooms by integrating the Islamic Religious Education paradigm as the basis for family education. This ensures that the family is understood not only as a social institution but also as an educational institution for faith, morals, and civilization.

Abstract

The development of social media in the digital era has influenced the lives of teenagers, including communication patterns and social behavior. However, the use of social media without an understanding of ethics can lead to various problems such as the spread of hoaxes, cyberbullying, hate speech, and behavior that is inconsistent with moral values ​​and Islamic teachings. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to instill an understanding of social media ethics among Muslim teenagers through the Pondok Ramadhan activity at SMAN 20 Surabaya. The method used is the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which includes the stages of discovery, dream, design, define, and destiny. The activity was carried out for four days and involved students of SMAN 20 Surabaya, teachers, and a team of Master of Islamic Education students from Sunan Giri University Surabaya. The material was delivered through an active learning method in the form of material delivery, interactive discussions, case studies, reflections, and questions and answers related to social media ethics from an Islamic perspective. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding and awareness of the importance of maintaining digital ethics, verifying information before sharing it, avoiding hate speech, and utilizing social media for positive activities. Thus, PkM activities through Pondok Ramadhan are considered effective in strengthening the moral values ​​and digital literacy of Muslim youth in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

Education aims to enhance the quality of individual lives and provide an understanding of the meaning of life. Studying the reasons and strategies for living a good life makes education a means for individuals to fulfill their responsibilities as stewards on earth. Character education encompasses the application of character values that include aspects of knowledge, will, awareness, and action. The presence of teachers, particularly Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, significantly influences the success of character formation in students at school. This research aims to determine the implementation of competencies of PAI teachers in shaping student character and the supporting and inhibiting factors in this process. The type of research conducted is qualitative descriptive, with the research subjects consisting of three students, one Guidance and Counseling (BK) teacher, and two PAI teachers at SMA Wahid Hasyim II Taman Sidoarjo. The data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation, with instruments in the form of observation sheets and interview sheets. In data analysis, the researcher performed data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis indicate that PAI teachers at SMA Wahid Hasyim II Taman Sidoarjo have implemented four competencies, namely pedagogical competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence. In addition, there are two factors that influence the formation of students' religious character and discipline, namely internal factors (will, customs/habits, and personality of the students) and external factors (education and environment). This research is expected to serve as a reference for future researchers interested in analyzing the role of teachers in the formation of student character.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of assertive communication and the pedagogical competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers on student learning outcomes. Assertive communication is defined as the ability to express desires, expectations, thoughts, and feelings honestly and clearly, while still respecting others’ preferences. Meanwhile, pedagogical competence encompasses a teacher’s knowledge, skills, and attitudes in designing and implementing effective instruction. This research used a quantitative approach with a population of 65 students at SMA Jati Agung Taman Sidoarjo. Data were collected using questionnaires, and data analysis involved instrument testing, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing using SPSS version 26. The results show that the pedagogical competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers has a significant effect on student learning outcomes (significance value 0.000). However, the assertive communication variable did not show a significant effect (significance value 0.472). The conclusion of this study is that enhancing teachers’ pedagogical competence directly contributes positively to students’ academic achievement, whereas assertive communication has not been shown to have a significant impact in this context. The implications of these findings point to the importance of strengthening teachers’ pedagogical capacities and suggest the need for further studies to explore the relationship between communication styles and learning success in the classroom.
