Abstract

By and large, patrilineal societies still experience the unsolved problem of women’s property disinheritance. This article attempts to examine the role of legal education on female inheritance in transforming society regarding the issue in question. Based on a qualitative inquiry in Besemah society and two prominent universities in Palembang, South Sumatera, Indonesia, this article suggests that although the state laws have protected the rights of women to inheritance in various enactments, university students and society must be educated on the laws, the society’s rights in general and the law of inheritance in particular. Universities have the potential to influence society through the socalled three devotional services of highermeducation, namely education, research, and community services. As seen in campus curricula, students can be educated through classroom education, and society can be educated through community services. Debates at the academic level on inheritance problems in society should have been seen in academic journals, as there is a considerable gap between theories in classrooms and practices of society. Unfortunately, as shown in their curriculum and publications, universities in South Sumarera do not pay enough attention to property inheritance because it is not in students’ interests. In community service activities, universities have not advocated inheritance law to enhance people’s awareness of just inheritance practices, whereas universities are traditionally known as an agent of change. Thus, in this case, universities do not change society but are changed by society.  Artikel ini menunjukkan kurangnya pendidikan hukum mengenai waris perempuan menyebabkan tidak terpecahkannya persoalan waris Perempuan pada masyarakat patrilineal. Berdasarkan penelitian kualitatif pada Masyarakat Besemah dan dua universitas besar di Palembang, Sumarera Selatan, Indonesia, artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa walaupun negara sudah melindungi hak-hak waris perempuan dalam berbagai undang-undang, mahasiswa dan masyarakat perlu diberi pendidikan mengenai hukum, hak-hak masyarakat pada umumnya dan hukum waris pada khususnya. Universitas memiliki potensi untuk mempengaruhi masyarakat melalui Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi, yaitu pendidikan, penelitian, dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Sebagaimana terlihat dalam kurikulum kampus, mahasiswa dapat dididik melalui pengajaran di ruang kelas dan masyarakat dididik melalui pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Perdebatan di tingkat akademik tentang persoalan waris di masyarakat semestinya terlihat di jurnal-jurnal ilmiah mengingat adanya kesenjangan yang dalam antara teori-teori yang diberikan di kelas dengan praktek-praktek masyarakat. Sayangnya, sebagaimana terlihat pada kurikulum dan publikasi mereka, universitas di Sumatera Selatan tidak menaruh cukup perhatian terhadap kewarisan karena tidak menjadi minat mahasiswa. Dalam program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN), universitas tidak mengadvokasi hukum waris untuk meningkatkan kesadaran Masyarakat mengenai praktek waris yang adil, padahal universitas secara tradisional dikenal  sebagai sebuah agen perubahan. Jadi, dalam hal ini universitas tidak mengubah masyarakat, melainkan diubah oleh masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the differences in TikTok and Instagram user behavior, useful for marketing strategy planning, consumer behavior research, and content creation suitable for TikTok and Instagram platforms in the Company X account. The results of this study are expected to make a positive contribution to the understanding of the role of social media and how differences in user behavior can shape further transformation in the evolving digital ecosystem. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method that compares two advertising contents uploaded on Tik Tok social media and Instagram social media. The objects contained in this study include TikTok, Instagram, and users of both social media platforms. From this research it can be concluded that content creation for TikTok and Instagram requires several different treatments due to differences in user behavior, both for the promotion, education, entertainment, and event categories.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the listening ability of seventh-grade students at MTs Nurul Hidayah Al-Falah before using the Take and Give cooperative learning model. This study also aims to determine students' listening skills during the implementation of the Take and Give model, as well as to determine the effectiveness of this model in improving students' listening skills. This study used a quantitative research method with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The study population included all students of MTs Nurul Hidayah Al-Falah, with a research sample of 29 seventh-grade students selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection methods included pretest, posttest, and observation. Data analysis techniques included validity and reliability tests, T-tests, and N-gain analysis. The results showed that the average pretest score of students' listening ability was 61.4, which increased to 83.5 in the posttest, indicating a significant increase. The implementation of the Take and Give model effectively improved students' listening ability, evidenced by the N-gain score of 0.5915 which was categorized as quite effective. Statistical analysis shows tcount = 2.193 > ttable = 2.05183, which confirms significant effectiveness. Therefore, the Take and Give model has a positive impact on Arabic language learning in the context of listening skills.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keterampilan menyimak peserta didik kelas VII di MTs Nurul Hidayah Al-Falah sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif Take and Give. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan menyimak peserta didik selama implementasi model Take and Give, serta untuk mengetahui efektivitas model ini dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mendengarkan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain pra-eksperimental satu kelompok pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian meliputi seluruh peserta didik MTs Nurul Hidayah Al-Falah, dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 29 peserta didik kelas VII yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi pretest, posttest, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data meliputi uji validitas dan reliabilitas, uji T, dan analisis N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor pretest kemampuan mendengarkan peserta didik adalah 61,4, yang meningkat menjadi 83,5 pada posttest, menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan. Penerapan model Take and Give secara efektif meningkatkan kemampuan mendengarkan peserta didik, dibuktikan dengan skor N-gain sebesar 0,5915 yang dikategorikan cukup efektif. Analisis statistik menunjukkan t count = 2,193 > t table = 2,05183, yang menegaskan efektivitas yang signifikan. Oleh karena itu, model Take and Give memiliki dampak positif pada pembelajaran bahasa Arab dalam konteks keterampilan menyimak.
