Abstract

This research focuses on developing and analyzing the qualifications, effectiveness, and reactions of e-module users on optical devices to improve critical thinking skills. The advantage of this e-module is that it contains material descriptions, videos, webtoons, and evaluation questions that can be accessed online. The research method uses research and development of the ADDIE model, with five stages: investigating student needs, designing learning media using pixton.com, canva.com, and the Flip PDF Professional application, and developing e-modules that are validated by media expert validators and material, amounting to two people. , product implementation to users, and evaluation of e-modules by teachers and students. Indicators of critical thinking skills tested include interpreting, analyzing, evaluating, and inferring skills. The feasibility of the e-module turned out to be valid by experts in the media and material obtained from the validation questionnaire. The results of the effectiveness of the e-module in improving critical thinking skills showed that the effectiveness was tested on 26 class X SMK students and user responses, namely teachers and students, were very positive.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kualitas implementasi model Discovery Lerning, peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa dan literasi lingkungan siswa pada topik energi bagi siswa VII SMP PGRI O2 Singosari. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP PGRI 02 Singosari dengan subjek penelitian kelas VII yang berjumlah 33 orang. Jenis dan metode yang di gunakan adalah jenis pendekatan kualitatif dan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi RPP, Lembar Observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan soal prestasi belajar (20 soal) Dan angket literasi lingkungan (10 pernyataan). Pada siklus I dan II pembelajaran di lakukan dengan menggunakan model Discovery Learning. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan, Pertama, penggunaan Model Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari hasil persentase kualitas keterlaksanaan pembelajaran siklus II sebesar 75,62%. Kedua, penggunaan Model Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan nilai prestasi belajar pada siklus II meningkat dari siklus I 77% menjadi 81,60%. Ketiga, model Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan literasi lingkungan siswa. Hal ini dapat di buktikan hasil persentase literasi lingkungan siswa meningkat dari persentase siklus sebelumnya yaitu 78% menjadi 83,71%. Dari penelitian tersebut dapat di simpulkan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning sangat membantu siswa dalam belajar sehingga bisa meningkatkan prestasi belajar dan literasi lingkungan siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menciptakan produk dalam rupa buku saku digital berbasis Android terhadap materi usaha dan pesawat sederhana. Buku saku ini sudah diuji kelayakkan, kepraktisan, dan kefektifannya untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik. Adapun penilaian kelayakkan dari ahli materi serta ahli media mempunyai perolehan nilai dengan jumlah total skor 3,38 termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik”. Hasil penilaian tes lapangan operasional kepada 20 siswa di dapatkan skor 3,37 dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Untuk rata rata skor peningkatan prestasi belajar dari 20 siswa sebesar 0,5 tergolong dalam kategori “Sedang”. Dapat di simpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan prsetasi belajar pada siswa, dari data tersebut bisa dilihat bahwa pengembangan media buku saku digital yang berbasis android efektif digunakan meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik pada materi usaha dan pesawat sederhana. Rata-rata skor penilaian kepraktisan media oleh guru sebesar sebesar 3,9 dan oleh murid sebesar 3,39 termasuk dalam golongan “sangat baik”, maka dari itu kesimpulannya bahwa buku saku digital berbasis android praktis di gunakan sebagai sumber bahan belajar siswa. Implikasi penelitian ini yaitu pemilihan media pembelajaran yang sesuai sangat berpengaruh pada proses pencapaian prestasi siswa. Di dalam materi Usaha dan Pesawat Sederhana terdapat perbedaan prestasi belajar menggunakan buku saku digital berbasis Android dengan menggunakan modul biasa. Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce STEM-based learning media in the form of learning videos that have been tested for feasibility , practicality and effectiveness to improve students' critical thinking. The research model used is ADDIE, namely: 1) initial needs analysis to determine student needs; 2) initial media design and creating research instruments; 3) video development using the Canva and Animeker applications , as well as validation by media, material and language experts; 4) small-scale limited trials on 30 class VIII students; 5) evaluation from users, namely students and subject teachers. The results of media, material and language expert data analysis state that STEM-based learning media is suitable for use. Based on the feasibility assessment from media experts, a score of 93.75% was obtained, material experts obtained a score of 82% and language experts obtained a score of 90% in the "very valid" category. The results of the small-scale test assessment on 30 students obtained a score of 0.56, which is included in the "medium" category. So it can be concluded that STEM-based learning media on rectilinear motion material is suitable for use by students as learning media to improve students' critical thinking skills. The results of this research show that the use of STEM-based learning media in the form of learning videos can improve students' critical thinking skills, because videos can present information in the form of text, images, sound and can clarify abstract concepts. Abstract

Problem-solving is one of the abilities students must master when learning physics. Teachers must try to find solutions to improve their students' problem-solving abilities. This research aims to explore students' problem-solving abilities regarding work and energy concepts and determine improvements and differences in students' problem-solving abilities regarding work and energy material by applying the Hybrid Problem-Based Learning model with formative assessments. This research method uses a mixed-method approach with an embedded experimental design. The research sample consisted of 35 high school students. Qualitative and quantitative data were analyzed simultaneously. Qualitative data was analyzed using open coding and generalization, while quantitative data was analyzed using the n-gain score test. The results of the quantitative analysis show that students' problem-solving abilities increased from an average of 38.74 to 80.65. Calculating the n-gain value obtained a score of 0.68, which indicates that hybrid problem-based learning with formative assessment effectively improves students' problem-solving abilities regarding the concepts of work and energy. The results of the qualitative analysis revealed students' difficulties in solving problems. Some of the challenges found include 1) students needing help translating test items into graphic representation, 2) students needing help determining the specific application of physics, and 3) some students still needing help carrying out mathematical procedures. Teachers can use the findings of this research as a basis for designing and planning learning in the classroom to improve student's problem-solving abilities

Abstract

Pengembangan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik (student centered) salah satunya adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri. Model inkuiri dapat memicu keterlibatan peserta didik melalui pemasalahan yang ada dan efektif untuk meningkatkan berbagai kemampuan peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji pemahaman yang dapat dikuasai oleh peserta didik dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri pada pembelajaran fisika. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Systematic Literture Review (SLR) dengan metode PRISMA. Database yang digunakan adalah Scopus dan didapatkan 65 artikel yang berkaitan. Berdasarkan kajan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, model pembelajaran inkuiri dapat meningkatkan: (1) Pemahaman konseptual dan pengalaman belajar, (2) Kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif, (3) Motivasi dan efikasi diri pada pembelajaran fisika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempertegas dan memperjelas bahwa penelitian menggunakan model PjBL-STEM memberikan dampak positif dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian menggunakan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dimana peneliti mengkaji atau mereview 72 artikel dari beberapa jurnal melalui database Scopus dengan rentangan tahun 2018-2022. Pengambilan data melalui teori Inklusi dan Eksklusi sehingga hasil akhir artikel yang didapatkan sebanyak 40 artikel open access dengan database scopus. Model PjBL yang dipadukan dengan pendekatan STEM merupakan langkah inovatif dalam pembelajaran yang memberikan kesempatan peserta didik untuk merencanakan proses pembelajaran secara kolaboratif dan menghasilkan suatu produk tertentu yang digunakan sebagai sumber belajarnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PjBL-STEM memiliki dampak positif dalam dunia pendidikan. Diantaranya melalui PjBL-STEM mampu meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, mampu meningkatkan literasi, mampu meningkatkan self-efficacy, mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik serta membuat peserta didik tertarik dalam menuju karir dan profesi STEM karena peserta didik belajar dengan menyenangkan dan pembelajaran yang disampaikan bermakna (meaningful learning). Kemampuan dari dampak positif inilah yang nantinya sebagai bekal peserta didik dalam mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21.   Systematic literature review: Project-based learning integrated with STEM   Abstract: The study aims to emphasize and clarify that research using the PjBL-STEM model has a positive impact on learning. The research method uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR) where researchers study or review 72 articles from several journals through the Scopus database with a range of years 2018-2022. Data collection was done through inclusion and exclusion theory so that the final results of articles were obtained from as many as 40 open-access articles with Scopus databases. The PjBL model combined with the STEM approach is an innovative step in learning that gives students the opportunity to plan the learning process collaboratively and produce a specific product that is used as a learning resource. Among them, PjBL-STEM can improve problem-solving skills, can improve literacy, can increase self-efficacy, is able to improve the learning outcomes of pupils, as well as make pupils interested in the direction of careers and STEM profession because pupils learn with fun and learning delivered meaningful (meaningful learning). The ability of this positive impact will be the future supply of students in developing the skills of the 21st century.

Abstract

This study investigates common misconceptions among students regarding Newton's First Law, specifically their naive impetus, a term used to describe incorrect or incomplete understandings of force. These misconceptions can significantly hinder students' comprehension of key physics concepts. The research explores the various beliefs that contribute to students' naive impetus and examines how their understanding changes before and after the implementation of guided inquiry learning combined with formative assessment. A mixed-methods approach was employed, integrating both quantitative and qualitative data from 30 high school students. The findings revealed four primary misconceptions: the notion of impetus in circular motion, the concept of impetus generated by pulling, the idea of the loss of impetus, and the belief that impetus fades over time. An additional misconception related to the influence of centrifugal force in circular motion was also identified. Following the intervention, students' misconceptions about naive impetus decreased from 76.7% to 33.4%. These results suggest that formative assessments can significantly enhance students' understanding of Newton's laws, particularly in reducing naive impetus and improving academic achievement. The study demonstrates that guided inquiry, combined with formative assessment, is an effective tool for improving students' conceptual understanding. Future research should explore students' misconceptions regarding Newton's Second and Third Laws and examine their relationship with the First Law.
