Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the work environment and quality of work life on individual work productivity among Generation Z, with mental health serving as a mediating variable within the structural model. Generation Z, as a demographic cohort increasingly dominating the labor force, exhibits distinctive psychosocial characteristics that necessitate adaptive managerial approaches, particularly concerning psychological well-being in the workplace. The sample comprised 161 respondents employed across various industrial sectors in Indonesia, selected using a sampling technique based on Lemeshow’s formula for populations lacking explicit definition. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach to assess causal relationships among constructs and to validate the proposed theoretical model. Empirical findings reveal that both the work environment and quality of work life exert a positive and statistically significant influence on mental health. Furthermore, these two variables also directly contribute to enhanced work productivity. In addition, mental health is demonstrated to be a significant mediator in the relationship between the independent variables and productivity, thereby reinforcing their indirect effects. These results underscore the importance of organizational policy formulation that strategically positions mental health as a core element in human resource management systems. Accordingly, well-being-based workplace interventions not only enhance productivity but also foster a sustainable work ecosystem for the current and future workforce.

Abstract

Employee performance at Pontianak City's public health center (Puskesmas) has recently revealed a gap between the goals outlined in the Health Department's Performance Agreement and actual results.  Emotional intelligence is one of the internal characteristics that may impact performance, as indicated by this condition.  Results from earlier research on the connection between employee performance and emotional intelligence have been mixed.  Furthermore, only a small number of studies—especially in Pontianak City—have positioned job satisfaction as a mediating variable in the context of basic healthcare services.  This study uses job satisfaction as a mediating variable to examine how emotional intelligence affects Puskesmas employees' performance in Pontianak City.  225 Puskesmas employees who were chosen through purposive sampling were given questionnaires as part of a quantitative approach.  Using the SmartPLS software, structural equation modeling, or SEM, was used to analyze the data.  The findings demonstrate that emotional intelligence significantly and favorably affects employee performance as well as job satisfaction.  Additionally, it was discovered that a significant mediating variable in the association between performance and emotional intelligence was job satisfaction.  These results emphasize how crucial it is to enhance job pleasure and cultivate emotional intelligence as calculated measures to boost worker performance.  The practical implication is that in order to improve the quality of public health services in a sustainable manner, Puskesmas management and the Health Department should focus more on the psychological aspects of their workforce.

This study employs a quantitative methodology. The employed sample approach is purposive sampling. This research's population comprises 151 millennial respondents from West Kalimantan. The study employs Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) analysis utilising SMARTPLS 4 software. The research findings indicate that work-life balance adversely and significantly influences turnover intention. Occupational stress exerts a favourable and substantial influence on turnover intention. The equilibrium between work and personal life positively and significantly influences the work environment. Occupational stress adversely and substantially impacts the work environment. The work environment adversely and substantially influences turnover intention. The work-life balance adversely and significantly influences turnover intention via the work environment. Work-related stress exerts a favourable and substantial influence on turnover intention via the work environment. This research indicates that increased employee stress correlates with a heightened propensity to resign. A supportive and cheerful workplace can mitigate the adverse effects of work-related stress and enhance work-life balance, hence decreasing the propensity to resign.

Abstract

Investors primarily rely on the stock’s return as the primary indicator to evaluate the profitability of their investment in a company and how the company's performance affects the value of their investment over time. Investors conduct fundamental analysis and look at macroeconomic factors to obtain high returns before investing in a particular company. The aim of this research is to investigate how profitability, dividend policy, and leverage influence stock returns, and to assess how inflation may moderate this relationship. This study's population consists of twenty corporations listed on the LQ45 stock market index in Indonesia between 2018 and 2022. Multiple linear regression analysis is utilized, with inflation as the moderating variable. The study also includes a literature review on agency theory and the importance of investors obtaining comprehensive information about potential returns and risks before investing in a company. The study's findings can provide valuable insights for investors in analyzing these factors before allocating their investments. They also guide for companies to improve their standards and send positive signals to investors

Abstract

This research investigates the complex interplay between institutional share ownership, ownership structure, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and environmental sustainability in the context of Indonesian energy companies. A quantitative analysis utilizing structural equation modeling was employed to analyze data from a sample of 150 energy firms. The results reveal significant positive relationships: higher levels of CSR, increased institutional share ownership, and a more concentrated ownership structure are associated with improved environmental sustainability practices. These findings contribute to the understanding of the factors shaping environmental responsibility in the Indonesian energy sector, offering practical insights for companies and policymakers.
