Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of organizational culture, emotional intelligence, and organizational learning on employee competence in the government of Gorontalo City. Data were collected from a sample of 134 government employees, and hypothesis testing was conducted to analyze the significance of the variables. The results indicated that all three factors, namely organizational culture, emotional intelligence, and organizational learning, significantly and positively influenced employee competence. The findings highlighted the importance of fostering a positive and inclusive organizational culture that motivates employees to enhance their competence. Emotional intelligence emerged as a crucial factor in self-motivation, resilience, and empathy, which contributed to improved competence. Additionally, organizational learning played a significant role in supporting continuous professional growth and the development of job-relevant competencies. The analysis of R-Square revealed that organizational culture, emotional intelligence, and organizational learning explained 73.8% of the variance in employee competence. However, it is important to acknowledge that other unexplored factors may also influence competence. These findings have important implications for the government of Gorontalo City. By prioritizing a positive organizational culture, nurturing emotional intelligence, and promoting organizational learning, the government can enhance employee competence, overall performance, and service delivery to the community. The banking industry is currently one of the most competitive industries. For this reason, a leadership style is needed that can increase employee engagement to achieve better company performance. The aim of this research is to ascertain the impact of servant leadership workers' job satisfaction and trust in their leaders as mediating variables. It is conducted at government-owned banks, namely, Bank BNI, Bank BRI, Bank BTN, and Bank Mandiri. Purposive sampling was the technique employed in this study, and the sample consisted of 273 individuals who worked for government-owned banks. This study employed structural equation modeling (SEM) with AMOS software as a data analysis technique. The study's findings demonstrate that: servant leadership influences job satisfaction significantly; job satisfaction influences work engagement significantly; Trust in Leader significantly influences work engagement; job satisfaction mediates the relationship between servant leadership and work engagement; and Trust in Leader mediates the relationship between servant leadership and work engagement. Abstract

International migration, particularly involving Indonesian migrant workers (TKI) in Australia, has become significant, with nearly 100,000 TKI recorded in 2022. This study investigates the factors influencing their migration decision, focusing on working conditions, work flexibility, and compensation. A total of 149 respondents of Indonesian migrant workers in Australia completed the questionnaires, collected using non-probability and snowball sampling techniques. It was analysed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 3 software. The outcome reveals that working conditions positively affect performance, confirming that a supportive work environment enhances productivity. In contrast, work flexibility negatively impacts performance, while compensation shows a positive but statistically insignificant effect. Job satisfaction emerges as a critical mediator, with satisfied employees performing better. The findings suggest companies should improve working conditions and compensation systems to enhance job satisfaction and performance. Additionally, the study provides insights for the Indonesian Government on the importance of labour policies that promote worker welfare, such as fair wages and improved conditions, potentially reducing reliance on international migration. Future studies should incorporate a wider array of variables and a more diverse group of respondents to enhance generalizability.

Abstract

The phenomenon of job hopping is a challenge for organizations today, especially within the Generation Z workforce in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the effects of grit and perceived organizational support on job-hopping intentions, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. A quantitative method was used to collect data through questionnaires distributed to 200 Generation Z employees working in Indonesian companies for less than two years. Data analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling (SEM) with AMOS 26 software. The results indicate that grit has a significant positive relationship with job hopping intentions, while perceived organizational support shows a significant negative relationship with job hopping intentions. Additionally, job satisfaction mediates the relationship between grit, perceived organizational support, and job hopping intentions. These findings provide insights for organizations on how to increase job satisfaction and organizational support to reduce the intention of Generation Z employees in Indonesia to change jobs.

Abstract

This study analyses the influence of psychological contract breach and ethical leadership on employee Turnover Intention, with emotional exhaustion as a mediator, in the Indonesian state-owned banking sector, including Bank Mandiri, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), and Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN). The approach used is quantitative with associative methods, and data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS 26 software. Data were collected through a Google Form questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1-5 from 206 employees who met specific criteria: Respondents are Indonesian citizens, Respondents work at state-owned banks (Bank Mandiri, BRI, BNI, BTN) in Indonesia, Respondents are still actively working, and Respondents have a minimum work period of one year at the bank. The results showed that psychological contract breach significantly positively affects emotional exhaustion, which impacts Turnover Intention. On the other hand, ethical leadership was shown to affect emotional exhaustion and turnover intention significantly negatively. Although psychological contract breach does not significantly affect turnover intention, emotional exhaustion is a mediator, linking psychological contract breach and ethical leadership with turnover intention. This study provides insights for Indonesia's state-owned banking sector into the factors that influence employee turnover intention, as well as helping to develop more effective employee retention strategies, thereby enhancing workforce stability and, in turn, supporting economic growth through improved performance.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how communication skills and emotional intelligence affect the performance of Alfamart employees in West Kalimantan. This study explores the potential role of mediating Organizational Citizenship Behaviour in this relationship. This work uses the Structural Equation Model (SEM) to analyse the data using Smart PLS 4.0 software. This study integrates mediating variables and investigates the relationship between independent and dependent variables to provide empirical support for hypotheses. As part of the data collection strategy for this study, 214 Alfamart employees in the West Kalimantan region were given questionnaires. The study results show that organisational, civic behaviour, emotional intelligence, and communication skills positively and significantly influence worker performance. However, organisational citizenship behaviour only mediates communication skills; It does not link emotional intelligence to employee success.
