Abstract

The implementation of public policies often encounters many challenges due to a lack of coordination between sectors, a lack of technological access, and a limited policy learning process. This study used the Integrative Literature Review (ILR) approach. The aim of this study is to create a conceptual model of policy implementation by combining theoretical and empirical results from five reputable international journal articles discussing cross-sector public policies. This study was conducted in four systematic stages: (1) content analysis; (2) thematic mapping; (3) creating a conceptual model; and (4) contextual analysis of education policy issues related to deep learning in Indonesia. This study has novelty in integrative literature synthesis, resulting in the K4F (Key Four Factors Framework) model by comparing four main aspects, including leadership, collaboration, adaptive justice, and sustainable learning through framing elements as a binding element of values and policy direction. The K4F model showed that the success of a policy depends on the dynamic relationship between transformational leadership, collaboration, the social justice principle, and a sustainable policy learning system. This model not only broadens theoretical discourse regarding the understanding of adaptive governance and policy learning in education but also provides a practical contribution as a tool to assess the readiness and effectiveness of the implementation of policy in Indonesia related to learning using deep learning and artificial intelligence (AI) approaches.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low reading literacy skills of elementary school students, caused by the limited use of engaging and contextual learning strategies. Third-grade students at SDN Sungai Miai 4 still face difficulties in understanding long reading texts such as folktales, which they often find boring and hard to comprehend. Therefore, this study aims to examine the implementation of using narrative folktale texts to improve the reading literacy skills of third-grade students at SDN Sungai Miai 4. The research employed a simple experimental (quasi-experimental) approach with a descriptive quantitative method. Data were collected through individual reading literacy tests, observations of learning activities, and documentation of the learning process. The results showed that the use of the folktale Timun Mas successfully enhanced students’ literacy skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Students became more active, enthusiastic, and capable of explaining the content of the text in their own words. The learning process also encouraged critical thinking and helped students connect the moral values of the story to their daily lives. Thus, the use of narrative folktale texts proved effective as a learning strategy to improve reading literacy skills while fostering positive character development among elementary school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan interaksi sosial-emosional siswa kelas III SDN Sungai Miai 4 di era digital serta strategi pengembangan kecerdasan sosial emosional (KSE) mereka. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus dengan teknik wawancara dan observasi, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki KSE yang baik yang tercermin dari empati, kemampuan mengelola emosi, dan kerja sama. Interaksi sosial langsung melalui permainan fisik dan tradisional lebih disukai daripada gawai, didorong oleh keterbatasan akses teknologi. Peran guru melalui strategi kelompok acak dan pendekatan reflektif terbukti krusial. Simpulannya, interaksi sosial langsung dan praktik pedagogi yang sadar KSE merupakan fondasi efektif bagi pengembangan kompetensi sosial-emosional anak dalam konteks paparan digital yang terbatas.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers’ and students’ perceptions of the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) and its influence on student attendance at SDN Inti Sungai Miai 11. Using a qualitative case study approach through interviews, observations, and document analysis, the findings show that the MBG program positively contributes to students’ health, motivation, and school attendance. Teachers and students reported that the program helps fulfill daily nutritional needs, enhances learning focus, and increases enthusiasm for attending school, while also reducing the economic burden on low-income families. Despite these benefits, challenges remain, including limited funding, menu variation, and the lack of nutrition specialists. Overall, the MBG program is considered effective in improving student attendance and supporting equitable access to nutrition in elementary schools.

Abstract

The use of digital technology in elementary school teaching is becomingincreasingly important for increasing student learning interest. However, itsimplementation is not yet optimal and continues to face various challenges. Thepurpose of this study is to analyze the digital technology used, its impact on studentlearning interest, and the obstacles encountered in the learning process. Themethodology used included a literature review, evaluating relevant journals, books,and research reports. The results indicate that digital technologies such asinteractive learning videos, educational games, quiz applications, and onlinelearning platforms can increase student motivation, participation, and engagement.The visualization and interactivity of digital media encourage more active studentparticipation and facilitate understanding of learning content. However, variousobstacles also arise, such as limited teacher skills, inadequate infrastructure, andthe risk of disrupting student concentration. This study concludes that digitaltechnology can effectively increase student learning interest when supported byqualified teachers, adequate infrastructure, and appropriate learning strategies.

Abstract

The limited availability of learning media that can provide realistic visualization has hindered the introduction of wetland flora and fauna to elementary school students. Learning activities still rely on static two-dimensional images, making it difficult for students to comprehend the full characteristics of each organism. This paper aims to examine the potential of Augmented Reality (AR) as an interactive medium to enhance students’ understanding, learning motivation, and exploratory experiences related to wetland biodiversity. The study employs a qualitative approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on relevant academic sources published between 2015 and 2025. The findings reveal that AR is capable of presenting realistic three-dimensional visuals, offering flexible exploration, and increasing students’ learning engagement. Improvements in students’ ability to identify organism characteristics, understand ecological relationships, and participate actively in observation activities were also documented. These results highlight AR’s strong potential as an immersive and effective learning tool that supports students in gaining a more comprehensive understanding of wetland ecosystems. Adequate technological support and teacher readiness remain essential for ensuring successful implementation of AR in elementary science education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of educational comic media on the reading interest of Phase B elementary school students. The research was conducted through a literature review by examining various previous studies related to children’s literacy development. The findings indicate that educational comics play a significant role in enhancing students’ reading interest through the combination of engaging, simple, and contextually relevant text and illustrations. This medium successfully transforms students’ perception of reading from a monotonous task into an enjoyable and meaningful activity. Furthermore, the characteristics of Phase B students’ reading interest are influenced by factors such as the implementation of reading programs, the presence of reading corners at schools, and the broader cultural context of literacy in Indonesia. Educational comics have also been proven effective in fostering intrinsic motivation, improving reading comprehension, and strengthening students’ emotional engagement with texts. Therefore, educational comics can serve as an innovative solution to promote a culture of literacy in elementary schools while supporting the development of students’ character and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penggunaan gadget yang berlebihan pada anak usia sekolah dasar menjadi perhatian serius karena dapat berdampak pada kesehatan mental dan perkembangan mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur untuk menelaah pola penggunaan gadget serta implikasinya terhadap kesehatan mental anak. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa gadget dapat memberikan manfaat dalam pengembangan kognitif dan motorik apabila digunakan secara terarah. Namun, penggunaan yang tidak terkontrol dapat menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan mental seperti masalah tidur, kecemasan, gangguan perilaku, dan penurunan kemampuan bersosialisasi. Data menunjukkan banyak siswa SD yang mengalami gejala emosional abnormal sehingga memerlukan intervensi. Peran keluarga, sekolah, dan lingkungan sangat dibutuhkan untuk membimbing penggunaan gadget secara seimbang. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya strategi pencegahan serta dukungan sosial dalam menjaga kesehatan mental anak.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low involvement of students in the conventional learning process which tends to be passive and less interesting. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the use of technology as an interactive learning tool in increasing student participation and learning motivation. The methodology used is literature study and observation limited to technology-based learning practices in several classes, focusing on the use of educational applications, online learning platforms, and interactive media such as videos and simulations. The results of the study show that the application of technology is able to create a more dynamic learning environment, increase student interaction with materials, and encourage collaboration between students. Additionally, technology allows teachers to provide quick feedback and provide more personalized learning. Overall, the use of technology as an interactive learning tool has proven to be effective in improving student engagement and learning quality.

Abstract

Issues with infrastructure and a lack of qualified staff members are common roadblocks to digital transformation in primary schools. This research seeks to delve into the leadership tactics used by school principals at SDN Karang Mekar 1 Banjarmasin to address obstacles to the utilization of ICT and enhance teachers' digital capabilities. A qualitative method based on a case study design is used in this investigation. Both participant and non-participant observation were used to gather data. The principal served as the policymaker and the teachers as the technical implementers; both roles were represented in the study subjects. Time inefficiency owing to temporary projection equipment and a digital gap between young and older instructors were identified as the biggest hurdles to ICT deployment, according to the findings. To get around this, the principal put a "commitment to competence" policy in place, instituted scheduling-based facilities management, and empowered a "peer coaching" plan as managerial tactics. By working together in this way, skilled educators may help their colleagues who are having trouble with technology. Leadership that is both visionary and collaborative has been shown to increase digital learning efficiency and teacher adaptation in the face of resource constraints, according to this research.
