Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap strategi eksklusi dan inklusi pemberitaan Timnas Indonesia pada surat kabar Kompas.com serta untuk menganalisis implikasi strategi pemberitaan Timnas Indonesia di Kompas.com terhadap konstruksi identitas sepak bola nasional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa berita yang memuat informasi mengenai timnas Indonesia pada ajang Piala AFC 2024. Sumber datanya merupakan artikel-artikel yang dipublikasikan oleh surat kabar daring Kompas.com terkait peristiwa tersebut. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian dikumpulkan dengan cara simak catat. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis isi dengan menggunakan panduan analisis wacana kritis model Theo van Leeuwen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telah ditemukan ciri strategi eksklusi meliputi (1) pasivasi, (2) nominalisasi. Adapun ciri strategi inklusi yang ditemukan meliputi: (1) diferensiasi-indeferensiasi, (2) objektivasi-abstraksi, (3) kategorisasi, (4) identifikasi, (5) individualisasi, (6) asosiasi. Dalam implikasinya, pemberitaan Timnas Indonesia di Kompas.com dapat memengaruhi persepsi publik tentang sepak bola nasional dalam beberapa cara yaitu melalui pengaruh terhadap citra timnas Indonesia, pengaruh terhadap harapan, perbedaan antara citra media dan realitas lapangan, respons dan persepsi pembaca, pengaruh terhadap dukungan dan keterlibatan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin menggunakan kamus digital bergambar pada siswa kelas V SDN Kalisampurno 1 kecamaan Tanggulangin kabupaten Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan Pre-Experimental Disigns model One Case Study. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin menggunakan kamus digital bergambar efektif digunakan. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa SDN Kalisampurno 1 kecamatan Tanggulangin kabupaten Sidoarjo: kemampuan siswa mengenali kosa kata terdapat 73,68 benar, hanya 26,31% salah, pelafalan 84,21% benar hanya 15,78% salah, menyusun kalimat sederhana 68,42% benar hanya 31,58% salah, dan mengetahui angka Mandarin 84,21% benar hanya 15,78% salah. Kesimpulannya, pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin menggunakan kamus digital bergambar efektif digunakan. Oleh karena itu, disarankan kepada para guru di sekolah-sekolah yang telah mengajarkan bahasa Mandarin atau sekolah-sekolah yang sedang merintis pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin untuk menggunakan kamus digital bergambar sebagai upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Implementation of the Drill Method in Learning Information Text Comprehension: A Case Study of Students at SMP Ma'arif 5 Pucuk, Lamongan Regency. This study aims to determine the implementation of the use of the drill method as a support for learning reading comprehension of information texts for class VIII students of SMP Ma'arif 5 Pucuk Lamongan. This research is a case study. The research instruments are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the use of the drill method had an effect on increasing students' grades on informational text reading material. These results can be seen from the students' assessment scores on literacy skills, which show the lowest proportion of students' scores at as much as 7.6%, while the highest proportion of students' scores is 92.3%.

Abstract

This study analyzes the relevance between physical structure and inner structure in the poem Kangen by W.S. Rendra, found in a collection of poems entitled Empat Kumpulan Sajak bagian Malam Stanza. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study applies reading and recording techniques to analyze written data. Structural theory describes various structures of the poem, focusing on its physical and inner elements. Physical elements include the selection of connotative diction, figurative language such as metaphor, hyperbole, repetition, concrete words, visual imagery, and low rhythm or beat. In addition, typographic elements, such as the use of capital letters and the use of complete punctuation, are also examined. Meanwhile, the inner structure involves the feeling, tone, theme, and message contained in the poem. These two structures are interrelated and inseparable and provide depth to the poem's meaning. The interaction between physical and inner structures can arouse the reader's feelings so that they can fully understand and appreciate the poem's contents. Thus, the synergy between physical and inner structures contributes significantly to forming the overall meaning of the poem Kangen.

Abstract

The quality of text readability is very necessary for teachers to choose teaching materials that suit learning needs. However, quite a few teachers do not know the readability level of the text which should be the basis for selecting books, thus having an impact on students' ability to grasp the content and learning material being taught. The aim of this community service is to provide training on the readability level of textbooks to teachers at the Al-Ma'arif Nahdhatul Ulama Foundation, Dau sub-district, Malang district. The expected benefit is that teachers at the Al-Ma'arif Nahdhatul Ulama Foundation, Dau sub-district, Malang district, understand more deeply about the readability of textbooks used in learning. The activities carried out were providing training followed by discussions and questions and answers about the material. The results of community service concluded that the teachers at the Al-Ma'arif Nadhatul Ulama Foundation, Dau subdistrict, Malang district, after receiving training on textbook readability, had a good understanding of the readability of textbooks as learning materials in the classroom. Therefore, this training is very useful for teachers in preparing good teaching materials for students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi kritik sosial dalam kumpulan puisi "Nyanyian Akar Rumput" karya Wiji Thukul, yang ditulis pada era 1980-an hingga 1990-an. Melalui pendekatan sosiologi sastra, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan bentuk-bentuk kritik sosial yang dihadirkan dalam puisi-puisi tersebut, termasuk kritik terhadap struktur kekuasaan, kondisi ekonomi, dan dinamika politik. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini menganalisis enam puisi yang dipilih dari dalam buku tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa puisi-puisi Thukul secara konsisten mengangkat tema kesenjangan kelas sosial, ketidakadilan politik, dan ketimpangan ekonomi. Karya-karya ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai dokumen sosial yang berharga dalam memahami kondisi masyarakat Indonesia pada masa Orde Baru, tetapi juga sebagai bentuk perlawanan terhadap ketidakadilan. Nasib Thukul yang menghilang pada tahun 1998 dan diyakini menjadi korban penghilangan paksa oleh rezim Orde Baru menegaskan dampak dan ancaman dari kritik-kritiknya. Melalui puisi-puisinya, Thukul menyuarakan harapan akan perubahan sosial yang lebih adil dan merata bagi seluruh lapisan masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada studi sosiologi sastra dan sejarah sosial-politik Indonesia, serta memberikan perspektif baru dalam memahami hubungan antara latar belakang sosial, karya sastra, dan aktivisme.

Abstract

The novel "Senja in Jakarta" depicts the political, social and economic life of Indonesian society in the era of Liberal Democracy and Guided Democracy, especially in Jakarta during the 1950s. This novel depicts the dirty political practices of manipulators, fraudsters and corrupt officials in Jakarta against the background of the lives of ordinary people. This research aims to describe the social conflicts contained in the novel, namely realistic and non-realistic conflicts as well as the positive function of these social conflicts. Realistic conflict arises from dissatisfaction or disappointment experienced by individuals or groups with a system or demands in social relations. On the other hand, non-realistic conflicts are driven by irrational and ideological desires. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literary sociology approach. The data used in this research are text excerpts in the form of dialogues, monologues and narratives that describe social conflicts in the novel "Senja in Jakarta". The data collection instruments used were documentation and observation using reading and note-taking techniques. The data analysis process includes repeated reading, highlighting, documentation, and data analysis using Lewis A. Coser's social conflict theory. Then, four realistic social conflict data were found, consisting of two data related to hostile feelings, and two data related to hostile behaviour, two data on unrealistic social conflict, and two data on the positive function of social conflict. This research connects the depiction of social conflict in the novel "Senja in Jakarta" with the reality of Indonesian society in the 1950s, thereby showing that conflict, both realistic and non-realistic, will give rise to functions that shape the social structure and identity of Indonesian society in the 1950s.Keywords: Novel Twilight in Jakarta, Sociology of Literature, Social Conflict

Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between physical structure and inner structure in the poem Kangen by W.S. Rendra which is included in the book Empat Kumpulan Sajak in the Malam Stanza section, so that the study can contribute to literary studies by providing additional insight into the poet's interpretation in conveying the contents of the poem 'Kangen' which tells about his love for his wife, especially in the Malam Stanza section. By using a qualitative descriptive method, this study uses reading and note-taking techniques to analyze data in written form. Structural theory is applied to describe the elements of poetry, especially the physical and inner structures. This allows for a better understanding of the meaning of the poem without referring to external factors. The includes the use of connotative diction, figures of speech such as metaphors, hyperbole, and repetition, concrete words, similes, and low-pitched rhymes or rhythms. In addition, typographic aspects such as the use of capital letters and complete punctuation are also analyzed. The inner structure includes emotions, tones, themes, and moral messages conveyed in the poem. These two structures do not stand alone but complement each other so as to provide depth of meaning. The relationship between physical and spiritual structures arouses the reader's emotions, allowing them to understand and appreciate the contents of the poem more deeply. In conclusion, the meaning of the poem 'Kangen' as a whole is formed by the integration of physical and spiritual structures. The results of this study are expected to deepen the understanding between the structure of poetry and the meaning contained therein, as well as add a new descriptive perspective that has not been found in previous studies so that it can inspire other writers and poets in composing poetry.Keywords: Malam Stanza, Structural Approach, Poetry, W.S Rendra

Abstract

The development of the times has made literature not only a medium for creating works, but also a place for writers to express themselves, one of which is through poetry. This study aims to examine the poetry in the novel Dompet Ayah, Sepatu Ibu by J.S. Khairen to understand the meaning contained in it. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The approach used in this research is structuralism approach. The data collection techniques used are documentation study or commonly called document review, reading technique, and note-taking technique. This research analyzes the data by observing and examining the inner elements and physical elements in the poems contained in the novel Dompet Ayah, Sepatu Ibu by J.S. Khairen. Based on the research conducted, the results obtained in the form of the physical structure of poetry which includes the form of poetry, diction, concrete words, language style, and imagery, and obtained the inner structure of poetry which includes theme, tone, atmosphere and mandate.

Abstract

Sifat dan sikap seorang pemimpin yang arif bijaksana terkadang tidak selaras dengan implementasinya. Kesatria dengan moral kepemimpinan dan kesetiaan yang selayaknya menjadi cerminan baik bagi rakyat dapat berbanding sebaliknya. Fokus penelitian ini untuk menganalisis novel Sinta Obong Karya Ardian Kresna dengan memanfaatkan differance dan oposisi biner teori dekonstruksi Jacques Derrida. Berbeda dengan pembacaan biasa yang mencari makna sebenarnya dari teks, pembacaan dekonstruktif berfokus pada menemukan ketidaktahuan atau kegagalan teks dalam menutup diri dengan makna atau kebenaran tunggal. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan teknik pustaka, baca, dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan data berupa sifat-sifat Rama Wijaya yang bertolak belakang dengan jiwa pemimpin yang arif bijaksana serta pasangan yang setia, (1) narsisisme, (2) egois dan keras kepala, (3) menutup hak bersuara, (4) naif dan tidak berpendirian, (5) menodai kesetiaan, serta (6) angkuh dan kejam. Dari sifat-sifat tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa Rama Wijaya masih jauh dari sifat adi luhur seorang kesatria.
