Abstract

Permasalahan kemerosotan moral dan karakter mengindikasi bahwa generasi muda kurang mengenal kearifan lokal dan jati diri bangsa. Pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal merupakan salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan guru untuk menanamkan karakter pada siswa. Namun guru-guru SMP di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat masih mengalami kesulitan untuk mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut yaitu melalui desain pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berbentuk workshop. Sasaran kegiatan yaitu guru SMP se Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat. Tempat kegiatan di SMPN 1 Kuala Tungkal. Evaluasi program dilakukan dengan memberikan angket kepada peserta pelatihan. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa 80% peserta telah memahami tentang potensi kearifan lokal Jambi, pemetaan kompetensi dasar dan integrasi kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini juga menambah keterampilan guru, dimana 70% peserta mampu merancang sekenario pembelajaran dan bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal. Integrasi kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran dilakukan dengan menjadikan kearifan lokal sebagai konteks untuk menemukan konsep sains.

Abstract

The use of gadgets can cause addiction and have a negative impact on the health and psychological development of children. The solution to overcome this problem was through outdoor learning based on local wisdom of traditional games. This activity aims to form an agent for driving traditional games to reduce the use of gadgets for children in the District of Pelayangan. The method of implementing activities was in the form of socialization, training and assistance to prospective agents who drive traditional games. The targets of the activities were students at SDN 04 / IV and SDN 10 / IV Jambi City. The activity was carried out in  July-September 2020. The evaluation was carried out by giving questionnaires to participants to determine the success of the activity. The results of this activity indicated that students at SDN 04 / IV and SDN 10 / IV Jambi City preferred traditional games. Based on the results of the questionnaire, data on the frequency of using gadgets decreased from an average of 25 hours/week to 17 hours/week. Through traditional games, students interact more frequently with peers. This activity also increases knowledge about traditional games. This traditional game also trains students' social skills and character such as cooperation, hard work, honesty, sportsmanship, obeying rules, dexterity, accepting defeat, and responsibility.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan: (1) untuk mengembangkan instrumen miskonsepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika berbasis web pada materi Rangkaian Listrik, (2) untuk mengetahui kelayakan hasil pengembangan miskonsepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika berbasis web pada materi Rangkaian Listrik. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE. Tahapan ADDIE terdiri dari Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Hasil validasi ahli media menunjukkan bahwa instrumen sangat layak untuk digunakan dengan rata-rata persentase kelayakan setiap aspek adalah 92,67%. Instrumen yang telah dikembangakan dapat digunakan secara luas dan meminimalkan waktu yang digunakan dalam mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pengrajin Batik Jambi yaitu motif yang kurang bervariasi, proses pengerjaan masih manual (batik tulis dan cap), dan pemasaran Batik Jambi. Permasalahan yang menjadi fokus pengrajin Batik Mawar dan Batik Jambi Al-Hadad yaitu kurang bervariasinya motif Batik Jambi. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut yaitu penerapan aplikasi Technocraft (Teknologi Kreatif Motif Batik dari Foto Digital). Technocraft merupakan aplikasi komputer yang dirancang untuk membuat motif batik baru dari hasil capture foto digital kemudian ditransformasikan dalam bentuk motif batik. Kegiatan diawali dengan penyampaian materi tentang pengenalan aplikasi technocraft kepada pengrajin batik jambi yang menjadi mitra. Selanjutnya tim pengabdian mendemontrasikan tentang cara penggunaan aplikasi technocraft kepada pengrajin batik Mawar dan batik Al-Hadad. Tim juga mendampingi praktek langsung mengunakan aplikasi technocraft untuk membuat motif baru. Peserta sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan ini. Mereka merasa lebih mudah dalam membuat motif baru dengan aplikasi technocraf ini. Setelah peserta bisa menggunakan aplikasi technocraf, peserta dan tim langsung membuat motif baru dan menggabungkan dengan motif Batik Jambi yang sudah ada dan dohasilkan beberapa motif baru. Salah satu motif yang dipilih oleh pengrajin Batik Mawar yaitu motif Tugu Keris Siginjai. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu meningkatnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengrajin Batik Jambi dalam mengembangkan motif, terjadinya peningkatan kaulitas produk batik jambi dengan hadirnya motif baru, produk motif baru batik jambi, dan hak cipta motif batik baru.

Abstract

Muaro Jambi adalah salah satu kabupaten yang kaya akan kearifan lokal dan potensi lokal. Tetapi studi ilmu pengetahuan di sekolah belum mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal. Karena masih banyak guru yang kesulitan mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal ke dalam pembelajaran. Solusi untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah melalui pemetaan kompetensi dasar dan integrasi kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran sains. Kegiatan penjangkauan masyarakat dilaksanakan di SMPN 7 Muaro Jambi. Peserta acara kepada masyarakat adalah guru IPA di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pelayanan masyarakat ini berbentuk Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Potensi kearifan lokal Jambi yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber ilmu belajar, yaitu Sekapur Sirih, prosesi pernikahan tradisional Jambi, Candi Muaro Jambi, rumah Kajang Leko, perahu, tangkul, lubuk larangan, hutan adat, hutan desa, Tempoyak, bambu Lemang, batik Jambi, pembuatan batu bata, proses Machete oleh pandai besi, desa elektrik mandiri, Gunung Kerinci, perkebunan teh kayu Aro, perkebunan kentang, dodol kentang, perkebunan kopi liberica, Danau KACO, sungai Batanghari, perkebunan karet, dll. Konsep ilmu pengetahuan dalam objek kearifan lokal Jambi relevan dengan pokok bahasan kurikulum 2013 dapat dipetakan berdasarkan kompetensi yang sesuai (KD). Para guru IPA di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi diharapkan mampu merancang dan melaksanakan pembelajaran IPA berdasarkan kearifan lokal Jambi sebagai salah satu upaya peningkatan mutu pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research is development research that aims to develop an ethnoscience-based high school physics enrichment book on the traditional processing of Nur Kerinci coffee and to find out the students’ perceptions about the enrichment book. The subjects of this study were material experts, media experts, and class XII MIPA 1 students of SMAN 11 Kota Jambi, totaling 24 students. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets, interview sheets, expert validation sheets, student perception questionnaires, and documentation. The resulting data are in the form of qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were analyzed descriptively and quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Local wisdom in the form of traditional processing of Nur Kerinci coffee is used as a context for the problem to explore scientific concepts, especially physics concepts. The results of the material expert validation obtained an average score of 93.33% with the "very good" category and the media expert at 93.33% with the "very good" category. Meanwhile, the results of the student perception trial obtained an average score percentage of 89.53% in the "very good" category.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an ethnophysics-based enrichment book on the brick-making process in Muaro Jambi Regency in order to improve students' cognitive abilities. The research method used is Research and Development and refers to the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research subjects were material experts, media experts, and students of class XII Science at SMAN 7 Kota Jambi. The research instruments used were interview guidelines, student characteristic questionnaires, observation sheets, expert validation sheets, and perception trial questionnaires. The data obtained were in the form of qualitative data which was analyzed continuously and intensively and quantitative data which were analyzed using descriptive statistics. This enrichment book is written in communicative language equipped with interesting pictures, data, and factual information on bricks in Muaro Jambi Regency. The results of the feasibility test by the material expert validators and the media experts in the first stage were 76% in the good category and in the second stage, it was 97% with the very good category. The results of the student's perception test showed that the ethnophysics-based high school physics enrichment book in the brick-making process in Muaro Jambi Regency was feasible to use with a percentage of 83% which was included in the very good category.

Abstract

Ethnophysics is a branch of ethnoscience that studies indigenous knowledge to be reconstructed into physical concepts. Indigenous knowledge about the brick-making process was obtained based on experience passed down from generation to generation. This study aims to reconstruct the indigenous knowledge about the brick-making process into scientific knowledge (physics). This study was a descriptive qualitative using an ethnography approach. The subject of this research was three brick craftsmen. The research was conducted in Setiti Village, Muaro Jambi Regency. Observations were carried out to collect data about tools and materials as well as the stages of the brick-making process. Interviews were conducted with brick craftsmen to collect data about the indigenous knowledge of the brick-making process. Indigenous knowledge about making-brick process was analyzed and reconstructed into scientific concepts. The brick-making process consisted of mixing clay, molding, drying in the sun, and burning at high temperatures. The identified physics concepts were a simple machine, pressure, soil, measurement, circular motion, work and energy, temperature, and heat. Indigenous knowledge about making-brick process can be integrated into physics learning at school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul materi suhu dan kalor SMA Kelas XI berbasis ethnophysics. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 orang ahli materi dan ahli media, serta siswa kelas XII di SMA Negeri 7 Kota Jambi yang berjumlah 28 siswa. Jenis data yang diperoleh ada 2 macam yaitu data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa angket kebutuhan, lembar observasi, lembar wawancara, lembar validasi ahli materi dan media serta angket persepsi siswa. Data kualitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif dan data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan e-modul materi suhu dan kalor berbasis ethnophysics. Kearifan lokal Jambi dijadikan sebagai konteks untuk menggali konsep suhu dan kalor. Hasil validasi ahli materi diperoleh persentase sebesar 91,67% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik” dan ahli media sebesar 91,67% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Sedangkan, hasil persepsi siswa terhadap e-modul materi suhu dan kalor berbasis ethnophysics memperoleh nilai dengan persentase sebesar 86,8% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”.
